Thank you so much for the video and voiceover of that gorgeous Joyce Kilmer park where you hiked. That looked like an amazing place. You and your husband are a very good looking couple. It looks like a great trip. Congrats on your 1,000 subs! You deserve many more - your makes are always interesting and gorgeous. Cheers and have a great day!
Congratulations on your 1K Look how many fellow sewers you are reaching, so wonderful. Sounds like a wonderful weekend getaway. I have many big 4 patterns but have been slowing adding the Indie one. Beautiful fabric and Love your lemon top. Have a great week, getting warmer here in the mountains. I am in Hendersonville, I consider that the mountains and it have been beautiful weather since it stopped raining.
Congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers Cynthia. I used to be a big fan of the big 4 pattern companies but more recently I seem to see more of the Indie patterns as they are more contemporary in style. Having said that many of the classic big 4 designs can be quite similar but harder to find if they are not a reprint. Happy sewing. I always enjoy your vlogs and thank you for sharing your holiday footage.
Congratulations on 1000 subscribers, Cynthia. I think I have followed you nearly your whole time. I have come to prefer independent patterns. They seem to be designed more closely to the kind of body I have. I enjoy supporting them. Thanks for sponsoring the giveaway.
Congratulations! I am a quilter who used to sew clothing. I am working my courage up to start again. I have been following you for at least a year and remember when you got the lemon fabric (and really liked it). I live in Greenville, South Carolina but have not been to that particular park. It’s lovely.
Greenville, SC is not too far away from where I live. It's a small world. It tooks us over two and a half hours to drive to Lake Santeetlah. We had a good time. If you are wanting to try sewing clothes again, I say go for it. I haven't been sewing for long. I had a few fails early on but now I feel like what I sew is better than a lot of store bought clothing. Thank you so much for watching.
Congrats, Cynthia! The fabric you got is so pretty, and that bias binding is so fun! I love the sleeves on the shirt you’re wearing! I’m off to watch your pattern review! Love the pics and footage of your mini-vacay! I prefer Big 4 patterns! Thanks for the generous giveaway! 💗
Congrats Cynthia - amazing milestone!! I prefer Indie patterns, but I also do enjoy some craft sewing from time to time like quilts and bags. Thank you for sharing your photos!! 💞
I love the tiger fabric and would use a ‘clean’ pattern with very few pieces to show off the pattern. It is lovely. I prefer to sew with the Big Four patterns. Congratulations on reaching ,o0 subscribers.
Congratulations on reaching your first 1000 subscribers and here’s to many many more 🍾🥂. Though I have sewn from the big four patterns I do prefer the indie patterns because I find the instructions more detailed and sometimes they provide tutorials too! That’s a win win from me 🎉. Take care and thank you for sharing photos from your recent trip 😍
Congrats on your 1000 subscriber milestone. I am an indie sewer. I’m especially happy to hear your review of the Jones & Vandermeer shop, they’ve come up on searches for me but I’m always a little leary of buying from new places.
Thank you. I was a little hesitant to order from Jones & Vandermeer, but I had a good experience. Their website is a more difficult to navigate because they have fewer filters. I will order from them again.
Congratulations on 1,000 subscribers!!! I'm glad more people are finding your channel as I've really enjoyed watching you progress through your sewing journey. I used to mainly sew Burdastyle patterns as they fit me fairly consistently. Now I also sew a good many Love Notions patterns and have been dipping my toe into New Look, but I'm finding inconsistency in their fit. I like the styles in the big 4 and keep being tempted into sewing them, but they require so much more fitting. Why do I keep being tempted into all these other patterns???? I enjoyed your vacation highlights. North Carolina really does have a lot of beautiful places to visit! As to which pattern you should choose for your beautiful new fabrics; I suggest you use whatever pattern is more comfortable as those are always the garments I keep reaching for.
Thank you for following me from the beginning. I appreciate your support. Like you, I have a more difficult time fitting the Big 4 patterns but get caught up with the designs. New Look does have some pretty patterns.😊
Yay!!! Good for you and congratulations!!! 😍 Indie pattern garment sewing for me. The Lise Taylor Enchanted fabric looks so much prettier on your video than on the websites I looked at.
Congratulations on hitting 1K subscribers! That’s amazing! Currently, I prefer sewing the big 4 patterns because that what I have the most of and I’m trying to sew most of them before I buy any others. I know the instructions aren’t as nice and detailed as many Indy patterns but I feel like I learn from every struggle. 🌻
Hi Cynthia, congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers! I really enjoy watching your videos and seeing your makes, but I especially like that you add your pictures and videos of the beautiful region of country you live in. To enter your subscriber give away, I would say I enjoy the Indie pattern company patterns, but that is a hard decision because I really like certain big four too. I love sewing, hiking and fishing too. I live in Virginia. My boyfriend and I have done a lot of camping and motorcycle riding in North Carolina.
Hi Kathleen. I'm glad you enjoy watching my videos including the hiking and fishing. I don't ride motorcycles, but have you ever heard of the Tail of the Dragon? It's a very curvy, narrow highway in the area where we stayed. It's very popular with motorcyclists and sports car drivers. Thank you again for watching and commenting. 😊
Congratulations on 1000 subscribers! ❤I prefer sewing clothes and since I’m newish to sewing I like Indi patterns since they usually come with a video for help
Hi Cynthia congratulations on your first 1000 subscribers 🎉. Your new fabrics are lovely, I deliberated over the Nerida Hanson one as well but finally caved and got it in the other colourway as it suits my colour palette. It’s so lovely. I’m going to make a pair of floaty trousers with it. I like to sew indie patterns but have got a few of the big 4/5? And they are mostly ok too. I do some small crafts and bags as well but mainly garments. That was a nice reference to Andrea at BTPD, she also was a big influence on me when I got back into sewing a few years ago. And now she is in the same country as me, I am hoping to visit her shop at some point. It was lovely to see the footage of your beautiful holiday destination. I enjoy your channel and wish you luck for the future. X
Thank you so much for watching and the lovely comments. I hope you do get to visit her shop sometime. I have heard it is very nice. Do you know what you are going to make with the Nerida Hansen fabric? It's so beautiful.
@@MountainAccentsSewing I’m going to make a pair of TaTB Safiya trousers, having finally bought the Make it Simple book. After umming and aahing for years I got the book one day, then, the very next day, Christine (sews a lot) did a video about her new book, Mini Makes. Now I want that one. But won’t wait years. There’s high excitement here as this season’s Great British Sewing Bee starts tonight at 9pm. 🎉 Happy sewing x
Congratulations on 1000 subscribers Cynthia! That was quick! You have a tough question because I like using both indie and big 4 patterns almost equally, but I guess I like indie patterns just slightly more, because they have more variety in styles and are just slightly more unique and different from the big four styles.
I bought that Nerida Hansen in that same color way! I love it so much, found it on Etsy and it was super expensive but I had to have it. Still deciding what to do with it!
Hi Cynthia, Woo Hoo! What a milestone 😁 Let's see..... I would have to say I sew with nearly all Indie patterns now I sewed my first garments in the 70's, Big 4 were too much of a challenge by 2000 or so. I discovered there was a whole different route in about 2016, and I love the clothes I'm making now🥰 P.S. I just watched your review of the Lemon shirt and it looks lovely! I also love the music and the little walkabouts!
I prefer indie patterns because I've found a few brands whose block is closer to my body type so fewer adjustments and I sew primarily garments with an occasional home dec project or bag thrown in .Congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers!
Hi Diane. You are the winner, but I haven’t heard from you. Check the notes in my Spring Makes video. Please email me with your details. Congratulations. 🎈
@@MountainAccentsSewing I sent you an email earlier today. I'm so excited to place my first order with Beyond the Pink Door!! Thank you so much, Cynthia!

It is getting nicer here in the mountains. I should get to wear my new top a lot. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.😊

I prefer Indie patterns but I am trying to do other kinds of stitching too.
