Surprisingly for myself, one day I had to acknowledge that Toto was probably the best rock band ever. Over the years you weigh and figure and study the decades of great bands...then one day you realize just how great one band truly is. And it's not the one you would guess
You know why I don’t listen to this song that much. This song makes me cry. Imagine itself coming to you in the form of a dream . Toto is one rock group that you don’t want to see them go because they have a way of connecting themselves to you
This is such a great freaking song! I love how it starts with that beautiful melody, and then you get the classical chord changes and then it just rocks out at the end. This song is Shear perfection!

The second point is impossible, sadly. Jeff has long since passed. David Hungate only did a brief reunion with the band 4 years before this 40th Anniversary concert. Bobby Kimball has been battling dementia for quite some time and hasn’t been the frontman of the band since the first breakup in 2008. Steve Porcaro did not return as a touring member in the current lineup. Also… to add, David Paich doesn’t perform live with the band that often these days for health reasons. He only joins the band when his health allows him to. It’s mainly Luke who’s been in it this whole time.
@CelestiaCoSmic You are correct on everything. It was an open ended question on why there are no clips of the original lineup on performance of ANGELA. Also, I know about Kimball, he's in the final stages of FRONT TEMPORAL DEMENTIA John Zaika who's doing the documentary on Kimball mentioned this recently. Kimballs daughter Allyson has set up a social media site on TH-cam. I suscribed to it and texted her, and she did respond back. Steve Porcaro and Steve Lukather have not been on speaking terms since Susan Porcaro Goings 👉 Jeff Porcaros widow won the lawsuit against David Paich and Lukather pertaining to royalties tied to Jeff's estate a few years ago. Lukather said Steve Porcaro sold all his rights to Toto. According to Kimball, back in 2017-2018, he said Paich had diabetes . That was the illness David was dealing with, but I've seen David recently talking with John Beaudin on Rock History. He seems to be doing well. He's slimmed down and talked about his solo album. The interviews were a series so each segment was cut in half.
They performed Angela live during the Hydra tour in 1980 with the original lineup. Several audience recordings exist of Angela being played on that tour with Steve on vocals, sadly no soundboard or video recordings. Here is an example: th-cam.com/video/WKsMElJ9k-g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UagT5BCaGE3Gk38C&t=1622. They also performed it during at least one show of the 1979 tour, but no recordings exist. I don't know the answer to your first question for this particular performance

One of my all-time favorite Toto songs.
Me too.
Me too.
It’s so good
Greatest band ever
this live performance is better than the studio version :) most of toto's live songs sound better than the album :) Love em
Love that they played this…oh my, what a band!
true musicians....hard to find in todays music....bring back great bands.
Semua lagu-lagu TOTO tetap menjadi favorite bagi penggemarnya maupun orang lain yg mendengarnya
Fantastic live version of one of my favourite Toto songs

Stunning song, masterfully performed by Joseph Williams! What a wonderful voice he has! For me Toto have always been the best rock band in the world!
This is such a great freaking song!

4:24 One of the best tempo changes and song endings. Gives me goosebumps
Incredible!
Such a beautiful song.

@@volbeatdbv9846 My bad…I stand corrected.
Holy shit that was stunning!
...and I was 14 years old...
Impecable pero se extraña a los hermanos Porcaro RIP maestros
Toto não é Toto sem os irmãos Porcaro !!!
Saw them plenty of time, but this was the tour I must have seen and I missed it 🙄
Thank you!
Holy shit
who's playing drums
Dave Grohl
Shannon Forrest
Looks like Dave Grohl
But it's actually Shannon Forrest
Nossa.......
Can anybody tell me what's wrong with David Paich? It seems that something doesn't suit him...
Why didn't Luke sing on this song? It was him on the record, isn't it?
Yes, Luke's vocals on the record
I think this was the closest Toto got to prog rock haha
Looks like Dave Grohl on drums
I thought the same thing, and they never show his face. Weird
Nah, it's Shannon Forest
Forrest, not Forest
(1) Why isn't Steve Lukather singing ANGELA? (2) To not see the original lineup perform this song feels like a big rip-off.
The second point is impossible, sadly.
