The Gallery Backyard BBQ Thanks Tommy! I know what you mean! These types do not get as many views, but we like to use the grills to cook everything! That is what I like about your channel, always unique and always looks good! Cheers!
Great cook on those scallops. Great tip on drying them out for a better sear. Jack was asleep at the wheel not reminding you to take a sip of beer. LOL
DrTasteGoodBBQ Thanks Scott! Yes the first time I ever tried them, the amount of water that came out of them was pretty amazing, so I started getting as much water out as possible. You could still see how much water you get. The toast used to be the hardest part, now it seems to be the drink at the end! LOL Cheers!
The Dudes Kitchen n Grill Thanks Mike! Yes, they were tasty! We actually did two shoots this night, that can get complicated, but I told Jack any complaining and he gets nothing! LOL The other cook was the lobster, so it was a good eating night and no leftovers! Cheers!
Pickles BBQ Thanks Charlie! You know if something goes wrong on one cook, you can be a little gun shy not to let that happen again! These did turn out great and it was the first time using the griddle pan for scallops, I know for next time. Hope your weekend is great! Cheers!
Love scallops! Those came out perfect as far as I’m concerned. I really need to get the drip n sear to go with my slow n sear. Great job Craig and don’t forget that beer next time!
GT’s Barbeque and Cuisine Thanks Gary! Yes, our most challenging part of our videos is the toast and me taking the drink of beer! LOL They were very tasty, but I seemed to have trouble with the sear on the second side because of the water they released. After watching the video Jack put together, it was fine, but you know what it is like when filming and you think something is not going right! The griddle pan is nice and I have been playing with smoking on the lower level with the rack for this pan. We are an affiliate for SNS if you want to use our link? Appreciate you watching as always! Cheers!
I’m a massive fan of scallops guys and I have to say I’d be adding more butter to everything as well 😂😂 Glad he reminded you to have a drink of that beer as well mate you can’t have a bbq without having a refreshing ale 🍺
The Silly Kitchen with Sylvia Thanks Sylvia! They did turn out, but at one point I didn’t know if the sear would be good enough! They tasted great! Cheers!
Bamakettles Thanks! We are always trying some different ways of doing things and this was fun and a good learning experience. They were tasty and I am looking forward to the next time I make them! Cheers!
Jim Morace I was happy how they turned out, but while I was cooking, I was expecting a little more sear. We rarely reshoot anything, so everything we do is almost like happening live. Thanks for watching Jim! Cheers!
SDSBBQ Good suggestion and great timing! I was thinking I was the only channel that did not have Uncle Steve’s Shake? LOL So I just ordered some and it arrived yesterday, I also just ordered some more scallops, so your suggestion will be done! Appreciate you watching as always! Cheers!
Cooking with Chubaranks Appreciate that, but I am sure he has cooked a few more scallops! LOL These did turn out nice, despite my concern with the sear. As you know, you learn something on every cook! Thanks for watching! Cheers!
Brilliant mate, i've got another idea, you should do a surf and turf, nice rib eye or venison cut with some shrimp / prawns in garlic sauce on the SNS !
Ben Bryce Thanks! That is a great idea! I have some venison in the freezer yet and was thinking about what I could do. We have our next few cooks planned, but I will be doing some research on this and I am sure you will see it this fall. Cheers!
How hot can you get this griddle before it warps it? Can you get it hot enough for smash burgers? Do you feel it’s really worth the 90 bucks? Thanks so much.
Tough to say, but I would think anytime over direct heat it will warp while cooking, it goes back to shape when cooled. The didn’t have the cast iron drip and griddle when I got mine and if you plan to cook on it, that may be the way to go and it is only $60. I do like mine just as a drip pan, makes clean up very easy and keep the grill nice. I haven’t used it to cook on too often, since I have other options on the patio, but was fun to try something different! Hope that helped! Cheers!
d307p It is pretty easy to clean! I use it more for a drip pan and to help with the airflow with the slow n sear. I gave my future son in law my last kettle and also gave him the slow n sear along with the griddle pan. I had not completely cleaned it, I would wipe out previous cooks, but had not scrubbed it in a while. I use these pads, 6 Pack Stainless Steel Sponges www.amazon.com/dp/B07CTHPJYK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_QT6pFb9PD3BRH They worked nice and had it cleaned up in no time. I also use these to clean my temp probes. Hope that helps!

Man.. those looked great! I'd highly recommend that you try the Uncle Steve's Gator Shake on scallops next time you cook them.
