    I was going to get my engineering degree. But in HS, I had 2 classes open. I enrolled in Wood Shop and Metal Shop. And I absolutely fell in love with metal working. Mills, lathes, and welding were all so fun for me. And when I got to college and started my first semester, I just didn’t feel right. So I then looked into welding and that’s where I am now. I’m on my 3rd of 7 semesters and I’m loving it.

    I'm going to explain my welding career in one paragraph. started welding when I was 12-13 keep doing it and keep doing it. now I am almost 21 never been to college or a trade school and I am holding 9 Arc Certifications 2 mig and I never went to college. I learned to weld by my self with help from a master welder time to time . I do iron, steel, aluminum, stainless steel nothing is never impossible with determination...I work in a big city in Ohio making a good living one weld at a time 💁hard work and determination with logic will accomplish everything. I'm a pipe welder but I do structural welding as well.

      I've been trying to learn on my own since buying my first everlast welder a couple of months ago. I want to learn everything there is about welding!

      @@clayferguson2088 Only a bad worker blames his tools. Miller, Everlast, Lincoln, Hobart, ESAB, Fronius etc... Will all get the job done as long as you know what you're doing and purchased a model capable of the job you're trying to do.

    I've been doing some hobby welding with my everlast welders for a little bit now. Seeing this video makes me wonder if I should seriously look into a career in welding.

    Thats a great sized school. I'm 46 but trying to teach myself and its tough. The only school near me is run thru a community college and its an extremely competitive to get in. They say they only take about 32 out of 250 applicants. There needs to be a school that's just like a normal school that lets anyone in and then drop people along the way if they are sub par or cycle them back to an earlier skilled class. I really wish there were more large schools like this around. I havent been able to find anything in my area of NY

    Mike is a boss, he came to a company I used to work for (Rosenwach) and everybody had nothing but compliments for the guy. He even went up on the roof =)

    While the demonstration with the plasma cutter it was unbelievable why they didn't edit that out is beyond comprehension the angles for cutting head to 45 degrees and then stands right in front of it LMFAO

    The dude walking him around is a tool. There are a ton of differences in uphill and downhill pipe welding and he literally said the difference is the direction. Solid education going on here.

    Add 2 minutes and 30 seconds he says you go to North Dakota right now and they're paying you 85 bucks an hour to weld downhill yeah okay LMFAO they don't mention all of the circumstances that go along with that $85 an hour

  • @jackr2287
    @jackr2287 ปีที่แล้ว

    6-9 months and then you could be making 80/hr on a South Dakota pipeline project.... or even 30-40/hr at some fabrication shop somewhere... Tempting to try and find a class. But doubt I'll find something for someone like me, working fulltime shift work on an inconsistent schedule.
    Maybe this fall I go pickup an cheapo or old welder some guy broke, and experiment.

    Those courses are too long. You can learn all that just as good in less time. The course is too long because theres too many students.

      There is more to welding than actually welding.

  • @user-mt9tn1ni4g

    At 5 minutes and 40 seconds this demonstration pretty much says it all this machine here is pretty simple to use I think this guy narrating the video needs to come up with another 20 grand to go through the course again measuring the insurance bill if he would have blinded Mike he came close
