Thank you brother! Check out TampaTec's mod on how to add flashing LEDs to your topper: th-cam.com/video/c9dvwBZxisU/w-d-xo.html . It flashes based on the sounds from the 4KP!
Thanks for your AtGames 4K Pinball game assembly videos, and also this SSF kit install video. It took me and my friend about an hour to install the SSF kit, despite accidentally putting the playfield screen back in inverted, and swapping the plugs for two of the exciters (revealed on the audio tests). Those were both easy fixes. I appreciate your careful instructions, plus AtGames thoughtful design with colored and labeled tags for easy connections. The SSF kit really makes the audio richer, fuller and more crisp. Bringing it closer to a real pinball experience. However, the SSF kit did highlight the Addams Family lag, as there is an obvious delay between the solenoid click and the corresponding SSF sounds. I can understand why AtGames separated the SSF kit to keep the base price lower, but I am very glad that I spent the extra money on the SSF kit.
Very welcome Dean, thank you for watching! One hour is the best timing I've heard so far, great that it went relatively smoothly for you. The latency in Addams is discussed here, if you're interested: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Legends_Pinball_4K_Latency (see yellow area for a video demonstration). While it's improving, it's still not where it needs to be. AtGames and Zen have this as their #1 priority to resolve. There will be an update to correct some micro-stutter issues with the non-Zen tables on the 20th of this month. What I found interesting is that none of the micro stutter issues were evident in earlier builds I tested (all tables shown here played very smoothly with no stuttering: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Table_Game_Play ). It appears to have been something introduced on release. Once I noticed it, I immediately informed AtGames of it.
Brilliant instructions. I followed this to install the SSF into my 2nd machine, since my first one came factory installed. Everything worked perfectly. I was able to install it without removing the glass or the main display. It was quite a bit more difficult, but I didn't want to risk breaking important parts. Thanks again Jon!
I installed the Sub from the back with the access panel removed. I had to remove a couple of plastic pieces at the top and manuever around the PCB cabling. But with a little bit of patience, it slid right in. The two boards I could easily install from the back panel. The speakers I could install from the back panel and with the front control panel removed. It took a lot of patience to do, but it was doable. I have long arms.
Took me about 1 hr and 10 min from start to finish and honestly the videos was amazing. I couldn't even imagine doing the ssf without your great video. All I had to do was fallow the instructions that are easy to watch and I had my ssf kid up and running on my atgames 4k pinball. I can't say It enough, THANK YOU for your help and time you put into ensuring our pinball are sounding awesome.
@@WagnersTechTalk It's quite an upgrade. You can really feel the exciters like when the ball gets dropped in the launcher. The feedback is also noticeable when you hit drop targets on particular sides. Now once they address the flipper lag in Addams Family, this is going to be an amazing machine.

Just use the orientation from the PDF for D&E, yes. It doesn't matter the speaker is round so there wouldn't be any difference in sound. But, to keep things consistent with the PDF, I mentioned it there.
Great video! Watched it once then did the install in an hour once the SSF kit came in. Not difficult at all to do and you make it very straightforward! Thank you! By the way, what number people get on their ALP 4KP? I got 123 so I'm wondering if they are different or it is generic.
