Please do a 5 minute tone of Tora Tora on the song Walking Shoes. :-) I loved the guitar, but died laughing at the thumbnail of your head on his body ! :-) Yngwie's wall of amps is impressive.. ! :-) Love the tone of that amp. One of my fav amp overall is the Marshall 50 watt plexi.. Just love it.. I used to own a DOD 250 preamp. It was great if you had that just breaking up sound on the amp, and kicked it on, then you got just what tone you have with your axefx. Identical. You nailed it. :-) I would love to see you do more of the Soldano tone on your AxeFx. Love that amp probably the most, as well as the ADA Mp1.. All 80's stuff..
I pretty much tried them all and it was down to this, the 1987X and the 1970 Plexi. The 1970 does the slightly darker sounding early albums pretty well but this one sounded a bit closer to the Eclipse style tone that is my fave.

Thanks so much! That Plexi model with that IR instantly gives me a vibe too. I think a lot of Yngwie's tones tones from that era probably fall victim to the production techniques of the time, like a lot of great players from that era.

Also given his playing, it's hardly surprising that holding no punches/confidence would be large parts of his personality! No compromise comes with it's own set of issues. ✌️Malmsteen aside, definitely impressed by your playing man! You got pretty darn close to his sound and that's a feat on its own! 😊😊😊

not bad but just to dirty YM uses a much cleaner tone ive been trying but cant dial in anything that does the trick but im new to my Axe 3 mkii, still trying to love it but at 58 years old by the end of the night im firing up one of my tube combos my jcm800 is a 2205 but my jcm900 gives me a much closer YM tone i saw a malmsteen clone from Brazil, good player, but the patches he was selling were really distorted and flat. well ill keep at it

What I love about Yngwie's tone, perhaps deceptively so, is that there is not so much over-the-top gain as you might think there is initially.
