What's great about Bateman's performance is his whole appearance and delivery. The way the scene reads in the script, none of that stuff is on paper. When Batemen says "Padlock it..." look at Affleck. He starts laughing and has to turn away, but it so natural to the scene that director Carnahan was smart to allow glimpses of it. Just a brilliant job by Batemen. Fans of Smoking Aces clamor for a Tremor brothers film, but I'd pay to see Rip Reed return to the big screen for some sleazy adventure.
