What a beautiful description of a royal enfield, I must say!! I don't have a 500 cc variant, but I have a classic 350, 2012 model and I feel exactly like you have mentioned your feelings over here, sir!! To this day I feel like I am riding my enfield for the very first time, and it never fails to amaze me ever! In this age when everyone is after more power, speed, fancy features, etc here's a royal enfield which is still very much true to it's original character! Some would say it's an obsolete piece of machinery, but for the ones who really want to 'feel' what biking is exactly all about, Royal Enfield is definitely it's answer!! Not everyone can understand this thing..
Hello Abhijit thank you for your lovely comments. Much appreciated. Yes I do agree. It is a shame that some people cannot appreciate what the Royal Enfield has to offer. I am afraid that it is sadly becoming representative of life itself. In a world 🌎 that is sadly driven by media manipulation expectation and greed, some people have lost the essence of what is important. Thankfully some wake up which is driving the nostalgia and classic object demand for goods from a time gone by😊
Fantastic description of owning and riding a bullet, it always puts a smile on one's face no matter what the day brings weather wise, good luck and safe riding to all
Hi Jack. I also bought a classic 500 just last week, i bought the tribute model as it was a cancelled order, so got really lucky as they are now discontinued. Your channel and Stuart fillingham were the ones who encouraged me to get on as i know you both love yours. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Hi Darren excellent. You were lucky. I beleive Moto GB still had a few left. It's a very sad end to an era. You now have an appreciating classic though as depreciation was small before but now values will increase as they become sought after.
I bought a Trials 500 this spring. I think it is one of 2 in South Dakota. I have 1300 miles on so far, mostly on secondary roads and forest fire trails. Its always a good day.
this is not as much a bike video as it is a meditation video... quite enjoying... quite relaxing... that's why I ride... thanks for the share and I'm subscribing off this first vid of yours I'm seeing (y) :)
Have bullet 500 trail since one year ago . My impression is like you. Have same feeling. The bike is wonderful. In my garage are kawasaki 900 Rs Cafe, W800, ninja 400 and 4 Simson 425S from 1956. AL of them have their own character. Thanks 💯👏👏greatest from Germany
Hi Rainer I had a Yam XSR900 which I traded in against the Triumph Bonneville T120, I did consider a Kawasaki RS900 and a W800 when looking at the Triumph. I also used to own a Kawasaki GPZ600 which I regret parting with. I needed the space at the time 😭
Great shed. Love the RE. Much to be said about riding slowly, taking everything in. A bit bigger than an RE, but my 1670 cc MT-01 performs the same function for me.
Thanks for a lovely philosophical video. I have a 2018 Classic 500. Bought it new and by now I have ride the bike 13 000km and that with no issues at all.
Hi Jack, yep, short and sweet, nice little video that sums this wonderful little bike up perfectly. I spent months roaming around India on one of these many years ago, always thought I`d love to own one. Been many years since I rode a bike but it`s still in the blood, never goes away does it. 60 years old now and looking foward to my 1991 Bullet being delivered tommorrow, probably be the last bike I own, (but you never know, there`s always room for one more somewhere!) best wishes from Hampshire mate, keep making nice videos! Subscribed.
Thank you Hugo. Congratulations on your purchase. I expect it will be a proper carburettor version 👍. And 60years is young although I would say that because It won’t be that long until I have the big 60. I was talking to a chap who was on a RE bullet last week and he was 80. 👍
@@JackBonhamMotorcycles Hiya Jack, yep, old Amal concentric carb, nice old style silencer, just right, not too loud, and I`ve already found several things that I need to tinker with. Perfect!
I recently bought one, a gun metal grey 500. One of the last ones to be brought into NZ. I'm still running it in, but I love it. I know exactly what you described so well. I've wanted one for years, and it was worth the wait. This model has abs brakes, fuel injection and electric starter. It's a lot quicker off the mark than I thought it would be and handles better as well. Very happy with it.
Hi Jack. I also own a classic 500 chrome and have now ridden almost 4k...loving every bit of it. Hard to put it words what it feels like riding a bullet. Just subscribed and will be waiting for some more awesome videos. Cheers 👍
Thank you so much for your comments. Glad you are enjoying your Bullet. Its a shame the EU legislation re emissions etc made RE ultimately cease production.
I think the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Trials bike is really interesting. Most reviewers seems to agree that it's not a true trials competitor. But I think it's utilitarian configuration makes it ideal as a scenic / back-road / trail thumper. Here in the USA I've heard that Royal Enfield India has cancelled some or all of the 500 series. Is that true? Maybe cancelled only here?
Hi Shannon. Yes it's true, but production has ceased full stop. Basically they have struggled to make what is in fact a very old design fit ever changing modern day regulations for emissions and safety etc. They have now turned the factory over to the production of the modern Enfields.
This is what mororcycling is all about. Than you for your film. How do you like your trials works 500? That is the one I am hoping to get here in the States. Cheers.
Enjoying the videos of the Royal Enfield. Bought a new Classic 500 last week and so far agree with all your comments about the bike. Would love to know what the gloves are the you have please.
Hi Peter. Thank you for your comments glad you are enjoying the classic 500. The gloves are the goldtop bobber gloves. I reviewed them on my channel sometime ago th-cam.com/video/-4mjgjGUahs/w-d-xo.html

I like 'thumpers'. I rode a Suzuki 500 single cyl 'thumper' once; I liked it a bunch too. I have my eye on a 94 Bullet with 108,000 km on it. What kind of mileage are the Bullet 500cc motors good for?
Let's be honest anyone buying a current RE badged bike imported from the Indian sub-continent is simply trying to get on the nostalgia bandwagon "on the cheap". Aimed in the UK largely at geriatrix trying to relive the youth they never had, the "clones" only link to the heritage on once great British marques is the cheapy plastic replica tank badges and a few stick ons probably from AliExpress. The truth is that if a RE badge is pinned on a donkey, it will still be a donkey. Nice and shinny when new these piles of cachu will corrode easily this winter unless sprayed liberably with Waxoil...........
