One of the most discouraging things for me is to see how "crappy" the OOC footage looks before it's slowed down and the magic sprinkled on. Seeing this and knowing what the end result can look like is definitely going to help me keep my confidence up on set!
Was thinking exactly the same. It would seem I’m over thinking and it doesn’t need about 5 takes I’m currently doing now to get it near enough how I want it 🤣
This is exactly what I was looking for! Definitely never thought of reversing the footage in post but after watching this video it totally makes a lot of sense and I am actually going to be purchasing that car mount for my own POV videos I plan on filming in the future. Thank you so much for producing the content we want to see!
love all your videos and how you explain the shots and settings. By far the top car photographer/videographer on youtube. Been watching for over a year now and have learned so much keep it up! I love your videos!
This is a really Insightful video about how to shoot car cinematic. I'm a begginer videoagrapher/photographer wanting to see what I like and I really appreciated you going into detail about everything. So showing ur POV, what u look like doing it and what that shot looked like edited in post.
7:10 With car flicker I’ve found you gotta switch the camera to the European anti-flicker settings as it’s not on our US 120v 60hz so try out the 50hz deflicker. Annoying it changes your frame rate to the EU standard but I use this for the few interior screen on shots.
Subscribed myy hooomieeee. You became my teacher. I just started doing film making. The progress is harsh, but, I'll make it. I don't care if it takes years! Best wishes
I still can't believe we both shot an S5 and made a cinematic video the same week! Love this car, I noticed on yours as well that the windows seem to have a checkered pattern. I thought for a second that it was something up with my camera! Glad to see another great video from ya man!
Haha! Ah shucks! Thanks man! It’s the Canadian gene 😂 And likewise! If love to learn a thing or two from you about light painting. I feel that’s something I know about but have very little practice. Let’s make it happen one of these days!
4 minutes in, I like the content! how about doing a handheld video next with the same approach? or even one about how to use a cell phone, because that's all some people have. Keep it up my guy!
Just stepping into the filming world, thanks for the tips! Heading out now to film some car b-roll! I’ll comment when I’m done and hopefully you can give me some pointers 👍🏻😁
I subscribed. Your video had everything that I wanted to know . Especially the gimbal movements and more importantly the go pro shoots of how you used your gimbal
Hey brother! That’s awesome man! Very happy that you got what you were looking for here! Glad to have you as a subscriber and part of the community! 👊🏼
Please do a POST Production Video on how you edit. From the sequence setting to export. Include effects like time remapping please. Thats where am struggling,
Yeah Thx💯👌 More of this content plz..🙌 I want to take my car photography to a new level. 🎬🎥I want to learn how to shoot cinematic and the editing process afterwards.
Thanks a lot for tips and tricks. Watching your video somehow I remember myself how difficult is to record car videos :) But still a lot of fun! Well done my friend. "I see you on the road". cheers :D
i lovethe video mate! you are super awesome to look at and very informative, i follow-up to this one would be to show how you edit the video when you get home. Much love from Denmark
Cool video, nice and clean shots! You can look into the "SMALLRIG Adjustable Handle Sling Handgrip for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2" this makes handling the gimbal a lot easier I noticed. You can get closer to the ground (briefcase mode) without losing your stand ability from the RS2 with the original handle. It also gives you the ability to use two hands on the gimbal and the option for more attachments. I'm just getting started with video stuff and I'm using my Z6 and the DJI RS2 (no 4k60😢 for me yet). Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences!
when you shoot with sony a73, you use both card in sony, (image and video files are recorded simultaneously on both cards.) or you use (Standard) so one card full up so start wriet to 2th card.
Fuck yeah, just in time for getting ready to get back into making cinematics again. Not sure why it didn't occur to me to reverse the shots to get the framing right! Good stuff man!

Good point! Gotta have your eye on the edit before you even start. =)
Was thinking exactly the same. It would seem I’m over thinking and it doesn’t need about 5 takes I’m currently doing now to get it near enough how I want it 🤣
Would be so cool to see how you edit it! 🙋♂️☝️
tbh its to figure out, but requires practice
That would be awsome! In General some more tutorials would be great !
Did he upload a video on editing?
The edit is at the very beginning of this video :)

Hello bro, your video is very good and helpful.
I have a question, can you show me the color mode you are using in your camera? Thank you 🙏🏼
I use C-Log and will often set my colour balance to Daylight or something so that it is consistent in post to change colours and contrast etc...

Can you do a video of filming cars at night time and the camera settings you use?
when you shoot with sony a73, you use both card in sony, (image and video files are recorded simultaneously on both cards.) or you use (Standard) so one card full up so start wriet to 2th card.
Great work 🤩
