Its time for a G6 national championship and let NFL Jr go its own way

This is what the B1G and the SEC are trying to force to happen. If the G6 break off themselves, then it frees the power 2 from any kind of lawsuit if they choose to break away.

3:23 It's not the same thing. NFL divisions and the teams within them are much closer together (both the best and worst) than college football conferences. The worst team in the Big 12/ACC is VASTLY far off from the best team in the Big 10/SEC. The NFL is not the same thing as college football.
That said, all auto bids are dumb and there shouldn't be any.

I like the current 12 team playoff with the 5 highest ranked conf champs getting bids. However, why not just seed the top 4 ranked teams in the CFP poll as numbers 1-4 so that a conference that has 2 teams in the top 4 gets 2 teams with first round byes? If need be as a compromise, have it so that if you want to get the bid as a conference champ, your team needs to finish in the top 16.

3-3-2-2-1 is a gift to the Big 12 and ACC. This year there is no chance of two Big 12 teams in the playoffs. ACC has a chance at two, but certainly no more than that. The Big 12 and ACC claimed that it was a matter of principle, but it is costing them money. The SEC and B1G will each get three or more anyway.
If Bama or tOSU tries to squeeze out Vandy or whomever, the litigation will explode, including Congressional actions. The SEC and B1G really need to stick together and have, at the least, a viable Big 12 and a tolerable ACC.

@observer46-vh5bm Instead of giving the ACC and Big12 two auto bids each under new 14 team format, give them a total of three auto bids between them - one for each conference champ and third one goes to highest remaining second place team. This would be a compromise solution in exchange for yielding the Big 10 & SEC three auto bids each. Therefore, under this scenario, the Big 12/ACC (w/ 3 auto bids) is valued at half as the Big 10/SEC (6 auto bids). What is wrong with this proposal?

@@observer46-vh5bm Yes but that was last year. SEC and Big 10 have even more leverage now. ACC & Big 12 need to take whatever they can and hope the Big 10/SEC are willing to come down from their demand of 4 bids each to only 3.

@@azimmomin9029 I agree, but I think that they will be too stupid and stubborn to realize the real world and ask to please get two bids each, which they refused for this year. Both the B1G, and especially the SEC, will get at least four each when it goes to 16. The Big 12 and ACC should be happy with whatever they get, but they will not be.

Do u know what's worse than having 8 teams from 2 conferences? having 7 teams from 1 conference which could happen under our current format. do u know what's worse than 1 auto bid? Not even being invited to the dance. the days of Administrators and tv executives deciding who gets in who gets left out needs to end and this proposal is leading us to that end

Super League should be the 8 strongest and historical teams. Thr P4 (or3) will stay the way they end up in '26. So, I'd go with Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Clemson, ND, Georgia, Alabama & Texas. If a team ends up last for 2 years in a row or finishes in the bottom half of the league 4 years in a row, they drop down to their previous league, replaced by the best available. The 8 teams get 300 mil/yr. The champion gets another 200 mil.
