I was raised in Acoma and Navajo reservations. I have been exposed to both indigenous spiritual involvement of village ceremonies as well as being baptize through catholic church and attended catholic institutions. I have felt more spiritually connected with my creator more within the indigenous community. Although I was never an outcast or abused in anyway within either belief or culture, I find that the indigenous culture far more useful and closer with my creator. I encourage anyone who maybe here watching this and wanting to be more spiritual to find what is most suitable for you because spirituality in ones life is so very important especially with the state of society today. We as a nation need to heal. We are all in this together. We not only need to heal as a country physically but spiritually no matter what tribe or race you are. To the producers of this video thank you for giving details of Po'pay's life. You are a part of a healing process for me. A process I so desperately needed.
When I first met Pueblo people I recognized they were peaceful loving people ⭐✨ 💛 their resilience is powerful. They will always have blessings because of their good nature 💚 ✨ 🕊️
Kwukkwa good stuff man I’m Hopi and been looking for something like this I only wish it was a little more detailed on the fight and the different tactics each village used to rid of the Spanish and wht the outcome was after the revolt and who the priest where in each village. Wht tactics each village used to rid of the Spanish also who the chiefs were at this time. The villages that didn’t want to take part in this . what clans were in charge or would lead the fight there are warrior societies in each village who were theses clans. Again thank you very much for this documentary

Its funny how the Hapsburgs were so intelligent and complex even for todays scholars that he was referred to as "Charles the 1st" by the so-called Spanish at the time but was called Charles V by the Holy Roman empire and us calling it the "Spanish empire" is what it was referred as through the lens of English scholars but the Iberian peninsula was a series of various kingdoms that had different cultures and languages of forms of languages that many people in that timy area really couldn't understand each other's language unless they can speak it I guess thats why the Hapsburgs were able to control much of Europe at tge time because of it.
Nature can’t be wonderful if we treated fair. One book that you should recommend is lands of the conquistadors . That book writes adout 16:32 life that doesn’t exist anymore hard to believe that type of life existed. The pictures you show are taken probably in the 1800s or so , what I would like to know the name of the Pueblo that is now called Santa Fe. I believe that Pueblo was one of the most powerful pueblos in that region that Pueblo was robbed and taken down to build the castle they call the cathedral in Santa Fe today. Also what year was the castle cathedral built and why was it built
I thought "The Requerimiento" was recited in Latin by the Franciscan missionaries and a product of the Doctrine of Discovery of 1452 and later versions of it.
As a Diné, it's funny when he talked about the Spainards picking and choosing which people to colonize, the Pueblo were too weak willed, the other tribes such as the Navajo did not show such weakness, when he talks about the "crown" choosing them spiritually, it just shows they were more easier to claim, this guy's people the Laguna are nearly all Cathlolics, while on the Navajo Nation you can find many many Traditional Navajos who know their stories. This Laguna knows some of whole truth. Good try.
Hi, i'm from Argentina, was born in Neuquén and my history like panamerican is today a resistence about the originary root of the patagonia people, my country have a stupid idiosincracy eurocentric and i think we panamericans natives need more force for arise.

another potentially interesting topic made insufferably trite and inane but amateur presenters.
