Hey man I wanted to thank you for your review. You did a thorough job with the prep and the results speak for themselves! I was just as excited as you were when you were talking about gloss and slickness which will also continue to get better as the coating reaches its full cure. And those hydrophobic properties! I still laugh and smile every time I look at the water behaviour. Water just doesn’t want to stick to the surface. :) For the application, I think you did well in readjusting. When trying a new coating for the first time, we get a feel for flashing times and levelling, and readjust based on conditions. It’s best to follow the instructions and wait the 1-2 minutes even if you see rainbowing before. The coating is very forgiving and will still be easy to level and buff. And for the applicator that is supplied in the box, you are right, it does have a saver liner in it to prevent wasting product. I recommend people try that applicator first. Overall great job man, I’m super happy you enjoyed it and am looking forward to future updates! I wish you great success with your TH-cam channel!
Thanks Pan! Good call out, every new product has a learning curve. Once I adjusted, the flash time it was no issue based on my conditions. It's so forgiving I even went longer then 2 min and it was still fine. No issue with high spots. Removal was a breeze. Everyone should be able to apply this coating safely and effectively. Also, it keeps getting slicker and glossier....I keep going in the garage to look at it. Looking forward to posting an update on the first wash. And yes....it's recommended to use the supplied applicator! I'm just stubborn lol.
Pan, definitely you need to update that picture and having it smiling. It looks like a passport photo instead of an inviting and pleasing use of the product 👍🏼😁
@FineDetailingAZ That's right!. Even it made you smile, so it definitely is legit, at least on that experience. Now, let's see how it really does in terms of durability in the real world, which obviously will vary per environment
So I applied this today for the first time. In my garage on my new 2024 Ford Explorer XLT. Washed, clayed machine polish etc etc. In Phoenix today. In my garage no humidity 75 degrees. My experience was good. I can tell you that when it rainbows it does not mean it's ready to level. I used the same method today as I do when using my usual go to ceramic. I take my leveling towel and wipe a test spot and if it smears I wait. I also use a stop watch to keep track. Today the sweet spot was about 2.5 minutes. I also left it on longer just to see if it was difficult to remove and it wasn't. Actually removed easily. I used about 30 percent of the bottle but I also like to apply coatings heavy. As far as slickness and Shine it seems to be on par with what I usually use. Shine is so subjective so it's hard to say. All in all the experience was good. Going forward I'll see how it holds up. I would buy it again. Is it the best of the best? Not sure but the user experience was good.
Excellent assessment. After my video, Pan updated the website to say you can leave it up to 5 min even if it rainbows. He did say don't wipe before 1-2 min. after my first application I corrected and it worked out well. Is it the best? Who knows but it competes with the big boys sure.
I must have watched this 20 times. I’m jealous on one hand but content with my c6 hydrolite. My turbo mazda has the 46v soul red crystal paint and like you, I spent 3 days on the correction and touch up. It’s stunning in full sun but the fun is the occasional rain. I can tell the wind direction in the way the water sheds off at 30 mph. Your beemer came out stunning also. I was ready to choke myself if I saw one more coating demo on a white car that you can’t see on video. So thanks so much. It’s quite possible Pans 8 yr is the best. It certainly is priced well.
I just got a great deal on this coating because of Thanksgiving deals. I'll be trying it out on my metallic green Jeep Cherokee soon. I bought his because I trust him as well. He just seems so knowledgeable. Between him and Ivan I had to decide which one to get. Plus this will be my first ceramic coating I have ever applied. Thanks for the video!.
@@Teleman01 so happy to hear it! It’s a super user friendly coating you’ll do great. It rainbows quick but give it the 1-2 min at least before leveling. Enjoy!
The algorithm brought me here, and I’m glad it did! You did a fantastic job with the video, explaining your reasoning, showing your initial impressions and not shying away from your potentially negative takes based on a well vetted resume of experience. I have no criticism, just remember that views and timing should never take a front seat to preparation and performance. Make sure your results are true and honest, and upload only when those are fulfilled. Liked, subscribed, and commented to boost your channel. PS: thanks for not using a white car.
Thanks for watching! Integrity is very important to me and earning trust of my viewers is my number one priority. My videos should reflect that. I got lucky on being the first one to post a video on this.
Thanks for sharing! I just received the 8 year coating. Can't wait to put it on. I don't have the experience to know if it will be the best or not, but I got into detailing because of Pan and wanted to give it a chance. Can't fault a man for chasing his dream and I hope his product line does well
As someone whose never done a ceramic but wants a premium coating (love my fussocoat) the application experience is key. I like the fact that the clean does not flash in 5 seconds or get high spots easily. For me the fact that the flash window is wider is def a positive for most weekend car guys
My order for the 8 Year Ceramic was delivered yesterday. Thanks for doing this video. It gives me a good idea of what to expect when I apply it later this week.
@@FineDetailingAZ I just finished polishing my 2023 Honda Passport in Lunar Silver with DIY's Gold Standard Polish using their 5" yellow pad and then prep washing with Pan's prep spray. I had the same experience as you with wait times with the 8 Year Coating. Rainbowing was almost immediate. I waited for up to three or four minute and found that it didn't really make any difference in leveling. I standardized on a two minute flash time and the results were fantastic. I can't stop running my hand over the finish and admiring the slickness. The gloss is great, and seems to be getting better as it cures, but it makes it obvious that I could have polished out a bit more of the orange peel in the factory clear coat. I'd read that Hondas can have soft paint, so I tried to err on the side of caution. I couldn't be happier with the results!
Nice! Yeah 2 minutes max seems to be the trick. Orange peel typically can't be removed without wet sanding and that's a lot of work! Agreed on the slickness it keeps getting better.
I just got my order of CLEAN yesterday. Can’t wait to get my brand new deep black pearl VW GTI coated in a couple days! BTW Pans tire dressing is looking great two days after applying. Thanks so much on the heads up on the thickness
Nice review Ryan. I just coated our friend's dark gray Toyota Avalon after thoroughly prepping the paint and the results were remarkable. Very much appreciated your "talk as you go" approach as I had exactly the same experience. It was about 68 degrees and sunny, similar to your conditions. Although I've only used about six different coatings, this one was definitely syrupy. At first, I thought something was in the nozzle. Took a bit of adjusting to fine tune the amount to add when replenishing the pad. I carefully watched the bottle to monitor the amount of coating I was using, and I also believe I initially added more than necessary. Wipe off, as you experienced, was exactly the same. Felt like it was being pushed around at first. Occasionally I would see just the faintest haze left over, but a third towel picked it right up. Once I got around to the starting panels, I noticed the slickness was even more noticeable. Overall, very pleased with the results and ease of use, given the quality of the ingredients.
These coatings that say more than 1 to 3 years, I’m skeptical of. I’ve used the best in the world and that’s an insane amount of time. And anyone can say premature failure was most likely due to not installing correctly lol. I trust pans own products more than him reviewing others products because of the enormous amounts of money he charges companies to review their products. I just purchased a new one vehicle and trying to decide on what coating to go with now. Out of everything I used in the past, Undrdog outperformed everything for me. Deciding now between beadlock black, beadlock marine, Undrdog marine, Clean, crystal serum, or some of the professional companies I’m working authorized to install with .
@@Ts_Picks thanks for watching. I agree the year number is totally subjective to your environment and care. I’m sure he had to assign it a year as that’s market standard. I won’t keep this for 8 years so who knows if it will last. I wash weekly and the car is well maintained so I’m hoping we’ll get at least 3 years. So far it’s performing quite well. My favorite coating is Nasiol 272. The slickness and water behavior are awesome. That said, Clean is impressive so far. I’ve been eyeing shine supply as well but I have too many coatings to get through first.
Follow up to my previous post. It's been a couple of days now and I would still say the gloss /shine is on par with other coatings I've used (I still think the shine mostly comes from the polishing stage) but I will say the slickness is for sure better than any other I have experienced. It's pretty crazy slick for sure.
The good thing is now days we don’t need to get the most expensive coatings or to go and learn from them how to etc etc bc some brands liken diy or pan amd some other brands they have the technology to make them prime coatings and to work like the expensive ones and even better at the end what matters is the quality and how long can really stay on the car
i had the same experience with the wipe off. Ended up waiting 4 minutes to wipe off and was still pushing product. Was scared to wait longer than that. Car has matte hood and ended up with a couple of streaks from what looks like the rag and i wiped hood down at least 5 times with a dry rag each time. Looks like coating kept getting pushed around and then dried after being wiped several times. The wrapped hood and trunk did fine as well as the regular paint. Really liked using it on the wheels. The thickness helped with that.
@@bretbussey1806 for sure I found out that it’s just the nature of the product. Pan said just wipe at 2 minutes no matter what. Learning curve on a new product but I’m happy with the end result
I know some people had an issue with Pan saying it's the "best ceramic in the world," but whatever! You should have pride in the products you put out and why would anyone aim to be just ok or the status quo?? Obviously saying some is the "best" is going to be subjective, but we also know Pan isn't going to put his name on something that he feels is just as good as the rest. I personally haven't found a "holy crap!!!" difference in gloss from one coating to the next, I think we often convince ourselves one product is heads and tails above another, after all, the human eye can only pick up a certain level of gloss. Regardless, I'm definitely looking forward to trying this.
@@1Nevergone totally agree gloss is hard to tell the difference by eye. I think you’ll love it. The slickness is crazy good and the water behavior. FD10 will save you 10%!
Thank you for presenting a honest review. Like you said, Pan has tested a lot and knows what he wants. I trust his comments. His presentations are positive, he knows what he has and is proud of his and others efforts. I for one will use Pans Clean and give away my current brands.
@@bruceolmsted3544 thanks for watching and commenting! I also trust him. That’s the beauty of this industry it doesn’t have to be a monopoly, you can use multiple brands and still have fun detailing. You should keep the ones you like, work his in your lineup and purge the rest. I always keep a revolving door or products, the fun in it.
I consider myself a supportor of Pan even though he probably never know I exist lol been watching and following his videos from he had a few thousand subs and always showed my clients his videos when they asked about products I've used on their vehicles, however its a sad disappointing thought that Pan said his products would be world wide but then only considers 5 counties to be the world. I've watched all his videos on clean now seeing other TH-camrs have the great opportunity to actually use them knowing that I won't be able to do the same or maybe in a few years to come at 5 or 6 times the actual price when or if it makes its way to my country. I'm sure it's because many overseas countries has the impression that my country only has poor people but doesn't realise there are other people who is doing quite okay and like me has the burning passion for detailing and cars. Anyway great video man looking forward to the other clean product reviews!!!
Hi! Always nice to see long time followers commenting. What country are you from? We are always looking to add more countries in the future, based on demand. The global distributors of my products are The House Of Rags, so you could write to them and let them know you’d like to see CLEAN By Pan products in your country. For now, we launched in USA and Canada. By the end of October, if all goes as planned, we should be in the UK, pretty much all of Europe, Australia, and Japan. That’s a lot of countries for a new brand. Thanks for your support!
From previous and ongoing application of ceramic coating products, most of the time when you feel like you’re pushing around the product, it’s the transfer solution that is being removed during the initial leveling process. Gyeon Mohs Evo flashes in 15 to 30 seconds.
Just applied the 8 year coating today on my wifes Cx-9 (Pearl white) It was my first time ever doing a ceramic coating. I was worried since i am in south florida and it is HUMID. The long working times definitely helped. I also never really noticed the flash and i waited 2-5 minutes, maybe because of the humidity? Anyways, I think i used too much when applying. I only had about 1/4 of the bottle left when i was finished. Cant wait to see how it performs.
Thanks for watching! I think you may have used too much. I had 3/4 left after one car. For the next time, just use enough to prime the applicator then 2-3 drops for each new section. Only need to apply when you see you aren't putting down product any longer. Less is usually more. A big feat none the less for your first coating. I'm sure it will be great.
@@FineDetailingAZ Thanks for the tip! Also Ive been watching a bunch of reviews and everyone says they smell something good or strong, I dont smell anything.
Thanks for the review. Waiting for it to be available in Australia. Might be the first detaling related TH-cam video I'll be doing. Got some C6 and other coatings that I'll compare against. Hopefully its as good as its promoted to be. Subbed and liked too.
Thank you! C6 is excellent as well. I'd put this toe to toe with C6. I'm a pro installer and I can say it stands at the top of the pack with the best of them.
Based on my application of hundreds of ceramic coatings. I was referring to application, gloss and hydrophobics. 95% of coatings on the market today haven't been out long enough to test long term real world durability so we as consumers are flying blind on most of them because companies are always changing formulas. I'm confident this coating won't fail like Cerakote did so I have to assume it will hold up long term like we assume C6 Hydrolite will. Hydrolite has only been on the market for a matter of months so we really don't know the durability of that one either. Hope that clarifies my comment!
Love this style of video and attention to detail and commentary. You talk out loud almost all the same ideas and rational that goes on in my head as i am alone working on a vehicle with new coating. SUBSCRIBED FOLLOWED and told my MOMMA AND DADDY to follow as well. Keep up aweome work.
Thanks for the support! Yeah...I talk try to talk out loud like you are there with me. Sometimes I like to try stuff first but I thought it would be helpful to get people my honest opinion in real time.
Thanks . Good video. Camera placement was spot on. The after did look glossier. I went back to the bewdoes ro xheck again, and flad the camera position was in pretty much the same spot. Good video. Thanks
Great video. I ordered a new RAM 1500 RHO about two weeks ago. I won't see the truck for about 6 months. I am trying to learn all I can about these new cleaners and coatings. I will definitely be diving into more of your videos. Do you have videos about how to prep a new vehicle for a product like Clear or 272?
@@fredbuchanan2560 thanks for watching and congrats on the RAM. I demo the 272 in my other called “$500 ceramic coating.” I’ll be releasing my ceramic prep videos on this x5 very soon. Next up with be a decon wash and polish video.
@FineDetailingAZ - Do I still need to polish a brand new vehicle? I've heard others say a detailed wash is enough for something less than three months old. Bad advice?
@@fredbuchanan2560 totally optional. Most new vehicles are improperly washed from a dealership and they do have some micro scratches. If you’re happy with the condition of the paint then you can just decon, prep and coat.
@@Bruces-Garage thanks for watching Bruce! I tried to keep it real as always. This was big commitment to make and I’m glad it turned out well. The packaging is very similar to Gyeon In my opinion, but to be fair it gets thrown away so I didn’t sweat it.
@FineDetailingAZ I don't see how it looks anything like Gyeon, Gyeon looks like they paid a high end designer to make it, this looks like a college kid tried to design it lol
Thanks for watching, I meant it looks like Gyeon in the way of it being similar glossy plastic packaging. I think his design is understated...in person the reverse water beads are pretty cool.
I have used several brands over the years with my exotic car collection and trucks and up till my love for Gyeon MOHS and SKIN i loved Dura Ceramic but Gyeon is IMO the king of coatings and find it hard to beat. I did 3 Coats of MOHS and 2 Coats of Skin and wow it's like extremely slick, water and soap can't stick and it's self-cleaning is like wow factor.... My 720s is might try Clean and see... Pan is a fellow watch collector and appreciate his work but also agree with some of his fans....Everyone has the best so that said makes it hard to believe until I compare.
@@TRX2021 thanks for watching brother…no denying Gyeon has some solid coatings. That said this was a single layer and you get the same performance as you do with 5 coats plus a 1/4 of the time. I have a business too so I can’t spend the time doing 5 layers. When you get ready to try it you can used FD10 for 10% off for my viewers.
I've put Mohs on 4 cars, but never topped it with Skin. I've read reviews of Skin being hard to work with, what is your experience? And what is your experience with Mohs by itself vs Mohs with Skin on top of it?
You did a great job explaining each step you were taking with this much anticipated coating. Hope you do durability reports every couple months on this 8-year coating.

@@FineDetailingAZ yes it was I use Gtechniq coatings a lot so would to see your opinion between Pan and Gtechniq coatings. I have been using the CSL and Exo 2 layer system and their wheel coating on personal cars and clients cars.
The end result to me is that it lasts. Many a coating goes on well. If you did not mention the brand, I do not see how it is much different in beading/sheeting, They all look good.
@@angore3rd thanks for watching. At the end of the day it’s still a ceramic coating. Highlighting the application, ease of use and water behavior is important to many people. Coatings only last as long as they are maintained so I will provide updates as we progress.
love the honest review. It all comes down to easy application, performance (water beading ) and durability. Only thing that stood out to me that is was the flash time seemed to be a bit confusing. You mentioned pushing the product around. I guess thats the formula and the way its applied to perform. thanks again
@@SEANRMZ thank you for watching! Nailed it, that’s just how the product is designed so I waited the 2 minutes and leveled. It comes off super easy so no issues. Was just a learning curve since it was new. I’m happy with the end result for sure.
Great video! I appreciate the transparency and testing of multiple applications and wait times. We all "interpret" the instructions differently 😂. I look forward to the check-ups as that is where coatings really separate themselves from each other. Liked and subscribed!
Not sure if it was my bottle but when I used Gyeon Pure EVO (my first ever coating), it was very similar in that it did not pour out of the bottle. It also rainbowed very quick. They say with Pure EVO, they put as much solids in it as possible so maybe it is similar, but Pure is not that slick
I must say, coming from the first 3rd party review I’ve seen of this coating.. I was quite disappointed with the performance/application considering the claims Pan was drilling into his videos again and again. Thanks for this video though! I appreciate your content and will continue to tune in as I respect your unbiased input.
Thanks man, appreciate the support. To be clear I think there was just a learning curve with the application, it's thicker then anything I've used and so it just felt different on level and removal. Came off super easy and I'd put the hydrophobics up against anything else out there. I'll get a video up of the first wash outside so hopefully we can see the water behavior a little better.
@@justlovethisgame3537 thanks for watching. What were you disappointed with? I hope people just understand it’s a ceramic coating. I’m not sure what everyone was expecting!
@@BamaJoeBob I’m glad you asked. Look, I think we all knew Pans coatings would be good.. it’s not all that hard nowadays especially if you have connections in the industry with people that have had past success. But when you come out the gates making these outlandish claims like he always talks about others doing that it’s the best coating in the world, ever, PERIOD. And that it’s also the easiest coating to apply in the world. And it has the best hydrophobics in the world. Not a single one of those claims looked to be true in this review. I could go more into depth but I really think it’s as simple as that
@@michaelhalstead64 thanks! Coating was quick I think about 2 hours? Working time was long. I started doing full doors. Obviously do a test spot and see your sure time. Rainbows immediately but my time in my conditions was 2-4 minutes
@@FineDetailingAZ just wanted to say thanks for feedback. Did the whole car this morning. I dont have as much experience as you, but that coating was pretty easy to work with. Took about 3 hours for the first coat. Then I did a whole second coat in another 2 hours. Used the entire bottle.
@@michaelhalstead64 nice!! Happy to help, and dang that car has some stout protection now! Let me know how it holds up in future videos. I’ll post my updates and would love to hear yours as well.
Thanks for the thorough review. I really enjoyed the calm style and tips and adjustment process. I’m getting the same car in a few weeks also in dravit grey, how was the prepping stage? You mentioned wool pads for a new car, was it in such bad shape or a very hard paint? I was hoping on getting a perfect result with a Koch m3 polish on a Rupes ultra fine pad. What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks for watching! Excited for your new X5. I don't imagine you'll need wool pads. I built mine and they shipped it to the dealership then BMW had the stop sale. Breaking system recall so it had to sit on the lot for a month (my worst nightmare) had a ton of water spots. I released the videos out of order I have one doing the decon and one doing the polishing. I was honestly planning on using with Pan's polish to just polish or KcX M3. That should be all you need. Because it's my baby I was going to do a KcX with Yellow pad or KCX purple pad then finish with Jeweling like reflect or uno pure. You'll see in my video though. I jeweled the heck out of it!
I'm a fan of Pan and I've subscribed to your channel because you produced a very good, unbiased video of Pans Clean coating. I expext that you will be very pleased with the performance of his product. People have to remember that after the coating is applied, there is mainto be done to maximize the performance over time. I think many apply it and expect it do perform at 100% for the 3, 5 or 8 years on it's own.
Awesome review!!! Looks like Pan is living up to my expectations 😊... I prefer for the water to sheet right off and this looks to be the case ❤, correct me if I am wrong!
Thank you for watching! I think it had a little of both? On the door is beaded and hood a spray upward and it sheeted. Either way it leaves the panel soooo quickly.
Hey great video! I'm thinking about buying this and now I'm definitely going to pull the trigger. One question though - does it really improve gloss? I saw some videos from dmitry's garage and others using glossmeters saying that ceramic coatings, and any other coatings, actually reduce gloss a little or keep it the same. Thanks.
@@JohnDavillis thanks for watching I didn’t measure with a gloss meter but to my eye it certainly doesn’t look like it decreases gloss. I think you will be happy with the result. Thank you for the honest review! You did a great job. I have feelings on the application. I like how it’s very forgiving, but seems like leveling and buffing could use an improvement. But I will find out when I receive my coating. The hydrophobics on it tho look awesome. To me…very impressed with that. Again, thank you for the review and will looking forward to your update video on it.
@@stevecharnasjr.7241 my pleasure. To clarify I just needed to figure out the learning curve. It’s a thicker coating and removal should be done at 2 minutes max even if it rainbows. I figured it out and it’s super easy to remove.
Thanks for watching. EXO is slicker on application but after a couple of minutes Pan's coating is much slicker. Once cured (only 2 days it's even slicker so far). Application is standard just per your conditions. I had a learning curve the first panel I did then I figured it out. Also this is only one layer vs multiple like CSL/EXO. He says you can layer it but I went with one layer on everything. The center portion of the hood I did 2 just for testing. Cure time is much faster can wet in 1 hour vs 12 hours to gtech I think it is? 12 hours until ph neutral wash vs Gtech is 7 days. Lots of improvements in my opinion. Awe man I got the 3 year coating this week so this is great. I hope it’s the better for application for me… it sucks you didn’t know if it was too much or not. The thickness part can be more of a con than not… especially after your video. I hope it’s easy cause I’m a noob 😭 And also, with the whole Pan thing, I don’t doubt his products are great. But him posting the video and picking his own for a best of 2024 video was a cornball move and bad business. But anyways appreciate the video bro! 😊
@@jefferrrson1x don’t sweat it you’ll be fine. Even if it’s thick the removal is easy. With others that are high solids and quick cure times like Nasiol 272 it can be an issue but I have ZERO issues leveling and wiping. You should have plenty of time. Super user friendly.
@@FineDetailingAZ that’s a good idea. It also makes me feel so lost if I can’t see how much I’m using and/or how quickly I’m going through the bottle during application. Seeing this helps me manage over and under application. I can get a little generous and waste product if not.

Great to see the application process and your experimentation with it. It looks to be VERY user friendly, and competitively priced. I've yet to try a ceramic coating, being a ceramic spray guy to-date but will try a coating next Spring. I'll be really interested to see how this fairs in actual use on the road. I think anything can look great at the first application. My ceramic spray does for sure but give it a week of wet weather and the lower halves of the doors are fading fast. However, a quick pre--rinse and 'wash and wax' maintainer and it's good to go again. Does a ceramic coating help at all with reducing marring? That's my problem with my soft Toyota paint. I've heard ceramic coatings are not of benefit for that.
Hey Allen, thanks for watching. It is very easy to apply. We will certainly see how it holds and I'll give updates as we progress. Ceramic sprays aren't as durable as coatings so I think if you try a coating you will be pleasantly surprised. If they clog you can simply unclog them with some acidic shampoo or water spot remover. Ceramic coatings don't really protect against scratching they provide a small sacrificial layer for your paint. If you want more protection I'd look into PPF but even then that's not impervious to scratching. Great review! Pan had mentioned in his video about how there's no need for a topper. Did you happen to notice if there are water spots left behind? I know that there are coatings that have major water spot problems if you don't use their preferred toppers. Thanks!
Thanks for watching Neal, I didn't noice any water spots. I hit it with the ego blower and drying towel right after. I didn't want to risk a water spot that soon after application. We'll see how it holds up. I do NOT like toppers on coatings so this was an attraction for me. I can't stand it when companies recommend toppers. You are seeing the behavior of the topper not the coating. I get it...it's the protection for the protection but we did all that work so I want to see how the coating really performs. Sorry for the rant lol, just adding my two cents on toppers.
@@FineDetailingAZ No, please rant! I am also not a fan of having to apply toppers. I'd left a comment to Pan to let him know that it was great that he wanted a coating that didn't require a topper. To me, not having to apply a topper saves so much time. Also, the one hour cure time is incredible considering other coatings requite at least 12+ hours to cure. I'm rooting for Pan's line to excel. He's received a lot of angry feedback in the comment section.
@@nealwhite1474 Agree, I know his line will do well. I'm really excited for the shampoo and I need to get the rinse less. I think it's cool that you can wash with pH neutral soap in only 12 hours. He did get some hate but I hope the haters quietly still buy and try. They will have a different opinion once they use the coating at least...that's all I've tried so far.
Thanks for showing Pan some love! I trust his endorsements and have learned so much from him. Looking forward to having the same experience that you had coating my vehicle. @@FineDetailingAZ Yes, I saw a lot of the blowback he got for including his products in the “best of” podcast. In my opinion, it was a double-edged sword. @@RichardMJr haven’t tried that one yet. I think it crosslinks for sure it’s just thicker so takes a little extra wiping. It wasn’t labor intensive and it came right off then the slickness shined through shortly after.
B pillars are piano black and scratch easily. I'm not a fan of PPF on the hood because as soon as there is a rock chip then the PPF looks bad and I spent so much on it I'd be mad. Instead I just do touch up paint, a quick wet sand and polish and you can barely see any chips. Just my preference.

For the application, I think you did well in readjusting.
It looks like a passport photo instead of an inviting and pleasing use of the product 👍🏼😁
yes Humberto! We need to see that classic Pan smile!
@FineDetailingAZ That's right!. Even it made you smile, so it definitely is legit, at least on that experience. Now, let's see how it really does in terms of durability in the real world, which obviously will vary per environment

1st 3rd party unbiased review out there finally. Thank you for keeping it real.
I got you. Thanks for watching.
So glad to finally see a 3rd party review of Clean by Pan! Can’t wait to see more!
Thanks Bryan! Excited to have you here.
Appreciate the honesty and it appears to be a win in both application and results. Thank you !!!

As someone whose never done a ceramic but wants a premium coating (love my fussocoat) the application experience is key. I like the fact that the clean does not flash in 5 seconds or get high spots easily. For me the fact that the flash window is wider is def a positive for most weekend car guys

Of course best of luck! Love a GTI. I had mark 4 VR6 24v. Also in black, with all the toys on it.
Thank you for watching! Always a learning curve with any new product! Glad you're happy with the results, so am I!
@@alanhefter4659 love it! Thank you for following up!
Great job on the video and killer garage!
Thanks for the support!
i had the same experience with the wipe off.

I've watched all his videos on clean now seeing other TH-camrs have the great opportunity to actually use them knowing that I won't be able to do the same or maybe in a few years to come at 5 or 6 times the actual price when or if it makes its way to my country.
Thank you! C6 is excellent as well. I'd put this toe to toe with C6. I'm a pro installer and I can say it stands at the top of the pack with the best of them.
@@FineDetailingAZbased on what? How long has it been on the car?
Based on my application of hundreds of ceramic coatings. I was referring to application, gloss and hydrophobics. 95% of coatings on the market today haven't been out long enough to test long term real world durability so we as consumers are flying blind on most of them because companies are always changing formulas. I'm confident this coating won't fail like Cerakote did so I have to assume it will hold up long term like we assume C6 Hydrolite will. Hydrolite has only been on the market for a matter of months so we really don't know the durability of that one either. Hope that clarifies my comment!

Pan is a fellow watch collector and appreciate his work but also agree with some of his fans....Everyone has the best so that said makes it hard to believe until I compare.

@@monstershayne I had a similar experience with pure and agreed on its slickness. Pure has incredible “candy” gloss as they say but could be slicker.

And that it’s also the easiest coating to apply in the world. And it has the best hydrophobics in the world. Not a single one of those claims looked to be true in this review. Hey great video! I'm thinking about buying this and now I'm definitely going to pull the trigger. One question though - does it really improve gloss? Thanks for watching. EXO is slicker on application but after a couple of minutes Pan's coating is much slicker. Once cured (only 2 days it's even slicker so far). Application is standard just per your conditions. I had a learning curve the first panel I did then I figured it out. Also this is only one layer vs multiple like CSL/EXO. He says you can layer it but I went with one layer on everything. The center portion of the hood I did 2 just for testing.
Social media has spawned so many bad actors with their fake outrage in an attempt to get “likes”. Thanks for a great video and for what you do for the industry. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to future videos.
Yup a lot of negativity but his products will do the talking once people try them. I'm impressed so far with the coating.
Great video. I have the 8 year on its way yo me. Should be here tomorrow and will probably get it on the car this week. Im really shocked that you went through as little product as you did because of how thick it is in the bottle. Going through 10 mills an SUV doesnt seem right.
I spoke to Pan and he said it was fine. The product is so thick that it spreads out for a while.
@FineDetailingAZ good to hear as I have a large SUV to do.
I also didn't do the wheels and glass. I only did one window for the glass. So if you do all of that you will probably use more.
Great video. Thank you for not demoing on a white car.
Haha you’re welcome!
What would you say about system x?
@@autopilot7353 I wouldn’t know in all fairness. I don’t try products that require you to pay them a fee to use their product. If they have changed that I’d be happy to try it.
Sounds like it applies very similar to McKee's Pro Coat, let it set and it seems like it never sets up and smears around.
@@RichardMJr haven’t tried that one yet. I think it crosslinks for sure it’s just thicker so takes a little extra wiping. It wasn’t labor intensive and it came right off then the slickness shined through shortly after.
Do you have PPF on?
Hi, I only have PPF on the B pillars. And I applied the coating over that as well.
@@FineDetailingAZ Thx. Why just the b pillars and not the hood?
B pillars are piano black and scratch easily. I'm not a fan of PPF on the hood because as soon as there is a rock chip then the PPF looks bad and I spent so much on it I'd be mad. Instead I just do touch up paint, a quick wet sand and polish and you can barely see any chips. Just my preference.
2-13ph and 1-14ph is not a little difference, 1ph difference is 10x the strength of the acid or the base.
Thanks for watching! Yeah thats what the website says. Didn't know it was that much!
