This was my first casio watch, a gift from my dad when I was in 8th Grade. I repurchased it in 2023. I am 6'5 and even on my wrist it still looks elegant
It's quite remarkable that only Casio seems to look back at the men's sizes of the 30s, 40s and 50s. It's a pity that apparently it takes some confidence to wear a classic Casio in today's fake-macho world. Thanks for the review.
I have absolutely no problem to wear this watch today and I am for sure one of these people with less confidence. No one cares about the watch you wear.
I'm 31 years old, and for a long time, I was all about Apple Watches. In fact, just two months ago, I bought the latest Ultra 2. But then, I decided to explore other watches a bit more, and I don't regret it at all. The look and comfort of a watch like this are completely different. Now, I believe that Smartwatches are not really watches per se, but more of a sporty accessory that I'm starting to like less and less. I'm seriously considering selling my Ultra 2 to get a Tissot PRX as my first 'real' watch. I really like it
@@maxramosnazer Never owned a smart watch so can't comment on that, but I will say that a decent, inexpensive automatic watch might give you some pleasure and equal annoyance. Whilst you won't have to charge it regularly you will have to remember to wind or wear it to keep it working. In that respect they are similar and both inferior to quartz battery-powered watches. PRXs come in both quartz and automatic forms with the latter commanding a premium price. Both are very cool watches. Remember the lug-to-lug (i.e. the vertical from tip to tip) measurement. Great looking watch. This is a great all rounder watch for folks that like analog, digital sporty dress thin, without the high price tag, and brand prestige. Casio is respectable quality brand. Thank you. My next indulgence.
@SPNKr thanks for answer. I was reading somewhere about this, so it's not true. OK. I like him too. Actually 80s was great decade. Movies, music, cars, fashion etc. I was born in 1980, Soviet Union back then.
i have pretty big wrists and big hands, sadly the watch looks way to feminine on me... would love to see a bigger version with a bigger bracelet from casio. i love the dial and color options but can't find any alternative too it in a similar price range....
I've worn one on-and-off for decades - although in today's watch-world it does seem a bit....erm....elegant. ie thin and a modest size, but I still think that they are an excellent watch and well up there in my personal watch rankings.
Large watches is not "macho". It just fits the trend of grown men wearing baby clothes better. Large kids pants, over size toddler hoodies, baseball cap and playground shoes from Nike. You need a large watch to fit that "macho style". Only thing missing is a diaper.
Man, I think we have the same exact taste of watches. My wrist is 16” too. I have the F91W on my wrist, considering to buy either the A700 Milanese bracelet or the AQ230. I love them so much. Are you wearing a Uniqlo shirt too? 😂 I’m a big fan of Uniqlo brand. Their minimalist, durable and perfect sizes for small bodies is just what I love.
Looks huge on you .... looks like a postage stamp with a strap on me, I was fooled by some tiny-handed reviewer.. I typically wear 38mm+ as a minimum. I'll give this to my daughter - she'll love it. If they re-issue in even a 36mm i would consider it.. Beautiful watch and well featured but sadly too small fro me.
I had this watch back in the 80´ties. Sadly it is not the same. Back then it had a mechanical date and a kick ass backlight. It also had 4 buttons, so probably a lot more to offer than this "vintage" model. Such a pity Casio doesn´t make real vintage watches, but have decided to make low quality cheat models.
sounds amazing. mechanical date and crown for adjusting analog time. a light. time and month in digital. double led light. metal case. if they launch a truly vintage + metal series at an affordable price, people will go nuts.
Será mi impresión, el reloj queda grande en su muñeca; ahh ya veo, su brazo es muy delgado. He visto en otro canal que el reloj le queda pequeño al otro youtuber.
It's even smaller in life. I have a thin wrist, this looks very small and cheap! The bracelet isn't comfortable. Even for 2200 rupees, I don't quite find it a deal!
These watches aren't stainless steel watches like you mentioned apart from the bracelet. The case is made of plastic and is chrome plated to appear like metal or stainless steel. I hope you knew that and it was just a slip of the tongue.
Maybe there are multiple versions? Mine is definitely metal. Maybe a base metal with chrome plating but there’s no doubt it’s metal. For reference, the caseback reads “CASIO [305] AQ-300 Japan DK”
Not really, this size was standard size from ww2 up until the late 80'ties. Big watches is a ridiculous, unpractical, machismo fashion. Big watch equals small dick energy.
Definitely not to small for men! Love this size, very subtle and elegant!
I agree it's a nice size

I just bought a 1970's Lorus, which looks alike this Casio. It's a great looking watch.
The “statement” point is so true
Just bought one... Very nice looking watch and it can go well with my work shirts and casual wear.
I used to wear this when I was in school in 7th grade back in 2011. eventually lost the watch somehow but I do have fond memories.

It’s definitely not too small for a man. The Cartier Tank is renown for being worn by men and the Casio230 is similar in square inches.
Hi looks great you can have three different times on that watch .
Most watches are too big for people with slim wrists so I see this as an absolute win

😂 It is indeed a weird time for fashion. But it will circle back in a couple of decades, as it always does.
Doubt it as testosterone levels are also downhill from the earlier era

I would like to see thi line in 18K gold, and other metals like white gold, platinum, slver, etc
How can the watch be too small when it domintes your wrist?
Excellent done!
nice video, i got 14.5cm wrist and you appear to be in similar size, cheers
As a woman, I think it's more of a womens watch. Of course men can also wear it but its slightly more feminine imho. I like its understated elegance.
Simply perfect size also for a man wrist.
Halfway through the vid I went and ordered one. Cheers for the upload mate
