    I remember looking at the dot hack website in middle school computer class, and seeing the new Altimit hud and the somber piano music accompanied with glitching images of Haseo and Kite. Filled with me excitement but also dread, seeing Kite ragged.
    Also the genius naming of Azure Flame Kite, he gets an Azure title like Orca and Balmung (Blackrose should've had one too like ffs) but also the AFK in MMOs means Away From Keyboard. It all goes so well!!

      Wow I never thought about the AFK abbreviation in the name. That is actually a pretty ingenius hint to the story plot.

    I swear you just described most of the school shooters with that azure kite explanation

      Haha, absolutely. I think a lot of people are afraid to speak about something like this, because we have this tendency to "put on a show" around other people for fear of judgment - as in we don't openly admit that we struggle with dark thoughts such as radical anger, or in many other cases radical sexual lust, things like that.
      The more I matured I was able to realize that all humans struggle with these dark thoughts and temptations given the presence of certain stimuli (persecution, belittlement, mistreatment, abuse, etc.) - but the morally excellent confess the presence of dark thoughts (admit to having them on occasion), yet still resist them though they would seem to be "empowering". Through resisting the promise of an "easy way out", what those dark thoughts offer - the disciplined subject their thoughts, or if all else fails express those dark thoughts as an art form (a sort of warning teaching people about the risks of acting in certain ways) and utilize it for monetary income.
      Japanese philosophy, as far as I can tell from what I have seen, is loaded with stuff like this. This one isn't even the tip of the ice berg.
      There are indeed reasons various Anime concepts are so gravitated towards, more than just pleasant combat motions or aesthetic preferences with more of a recognition of a "feminine trait" than, say, Western animation.

    When me and my best friend saw azure kite take out haseo, it was crazy and cool how bad ass kite became.

    i think if you look at it in a different way the shackles on azure kite could symbolically represent (upon not knowing that he was stitched together by aura and only had the first 4 games to go off of) that kite was shackled in a way to the world after what had happened and was still trying to protect the game

    I mean most probably thought that was the real kite until people learned he was a digital copy made by aura.And then aura made digital copies of balmung and orca .Though azure balmung doesn't have angel wings

      Well azure balmung still has wings but aura gave him those red bone like sticks. but the damage from R1 getting deleted by the activation of the 8 epitaphs really messed orcas model.

    Spoilers:
    A cool detail that I like is how Ovan was there the whole time (as shown at the end of the fight).
    Meaning that Azure Kite wasn't even there for Haseo. But instead, simply trying to delete the AIDA data in Ovan's character model.
    Great character analysis as well.😊

      Considering he data drained haseo, i wonder if ovan planted AIDA data during their encounter

      @@aokyoutsuki7744 That's an interesting thought?
      From what I remember/heard, Haseo's model was already bugged since he was unnaturally leveled up by the A.I. Harald (in The Forest of Pain).
      Thus, Azure Kite may have just been trying to restore Haseo's character back to it's original state.

    • @aokyoutsuki7744
      @aokyoutsuki7744 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Canibar13 didnt know that tidbit, i have 0 recollection of any details regarding pre game haseo,
      but considering azure kite appears where AIDAs are, the fact he data drained haseo despite him being such a pushover means that something about him was deemed purge worthy, besides AIDA (especially ovans), would it bother sparing a glance?

    • @Canibar13
      @Canibar13 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@aokyoutsuki7744 That incident in The Forest of Pain was exclusive to the G.U. prequel anime: .Hack//Roots.
      And Haseo being reset certainly helped to humble him too. Cause that instant level up gave him a bloated ego.
      I guess that the other the data drain was also cause Haseo (unknowingly) was standing between Azure Kite and his true target.
      Which (if I had to guess) is what Ovan was counting on. After all, he was the one to give Haseo the location of where Tri-edge would strike next.
      Meaning that Ovan most likely already knew of Azure Kite, and had Haseo believe that they were the Shino's Killer (after all, Azure was brandishing triple bladed weapons)
      Showing that this was Ovan's trap to help push Haseo on his journey to defeat the AIDA program.
      And on a different topic.
      Have you played the 4th volume that was included with the remastered collection?

    .hack// was actually the first Fandom I was ever in, when I first got internet. I remember an er before the G.U. trailers, and I remember when they dropped having it truly shake my 11-YO mentality.
    Who was "zombie Kite" as I called him initially? Who was "goth guy"? They were obviously in HFHg, but, everything els ehad me shook!
