I would suggest dicing (finely cut) your onion into as small pieces as you can. It makes the onion melt into the gravy, giving you all the flavour, but none of the soggy half solid half mush onions can get after a long cooking time. But even if you don't cook it for 2+ hours, a finely diced onion gravy is always a good thing.
Where’s the cream of mushroom 🤷🏽♂️ that would make the gravy thinker the flower should have went in before onions and mushrooms got any liquid added to them 🤦🏾♂️ looks good tho 🍾🙋🏽♂️
