I think Reverse RP Should come with a pivot for all skills. Imagine if the reverse RP facet also made your other abilities do more damage vs a single target, and that's why it's purpose is to spread them out. Or if they gave his abilities a BS ult like effect where they took damage while moving, so the ult was a forced movement for damage. But as it currently is, yeah just insane. I would guarantee it has been used to accidentally save enemies 10x as often as harm them lol.
Even if it did - the no boots is definitely the strat. That's the advantage, not the disadvantage. Other heroes NEED boots: they must waste a slot because otherwise, they are way too slow. But you, instead, can use that slot for something that is just stronger. An additional bracer gives much more value than boots. I'm shocked they did not understand that. Edit: Never mind, they understood it in the last 30 seconds of the video. So kudos to them.
I’ve figured out RRP, it reverses Magnus as a hero. Everyones still thinking about him the same, using the other four spells identically and are confused about why the ult looks so bad. Magnus should be played like Batrider. Combine RRP and Skewer and you can take someone miles away. The spell order is Horn Toss (optional), RRP, walk over to them, then Skewer. That guy is nowhere near anyone who could possibly help him and the rest of his team is affected by a bkb-piercing stun. Shockwave even slows them. RRP Magnus is not a wombo-combo hero. He is a single-target pickoff hero. Reverse the spell and you reverse the concept of a hero.
This was basically my thinking as well. Another strat is when you're about to have a team fight, blink in, RRP one or two toward your team while pushing the rest away and make it easy to pick off an enemy or two before going in.
One thing to note about the facet that centaur was using is that the move speed it gives does not stack with boots, which makes boots much less valuable, so not buying boots is more sensible than it initially seems.

I think if you gave reverse revere reverse RP the blinding/separating vision effect of Mars ult, it would be a viable option. Scatter everyone and make them much worse at coordinating while they're all blinded. Would be crazy in certain places where there's a lot of trees or terrain elevation.

The best application of a reverse RP I can come up with is disrupting the enemy teams lines. You blink in behind the frontliners and the supports on the backline and rp, splitting the fight and allowing some time for you team to focus the higher priority targets. Think Batriders Flaming Lasso and how that hero gets used. Now remember how fucking situational and 1d the lasso star is But that puts him as a 4 or 5, maybe 3 at a push.
What I've said before is actually make Reverse RP a facet for Skewer. Have it so instead of Magnus doing a charge that pulls people in, he pushes the opponent like ES' boulder smash and have them stunned during the duration. I feel that has a better trade off since you can choose a skill that pushed multiple enemies around but has a skill involved versus a safer push but has less reward.
I thinks its funny that the spell normally implies that its doing something by “reversing polarity” while the inverse of that would be doing nothing at all😂
You would think that pushing away should come with a use case. Separating low players from their team, or splitting the team so you can take down any of them alone, or saving yourself or teammates from death, OR pushing an entire team toward your team if you get behind them
RRP is a disengage tool (I guess) if you wanted to play support Magnus. I think thats the only thing that makes it usable over regular RP. You use it to keep people off your carry while you buff your carry with empower and use skewer and shockwave to set up kills for them. You could do that with regular RP, but since you aren't farmed, I guess it gives you an option to help and not get instantly blown up. TLDR its a meme

RRP is not really a bad ability on paper. If you had a character that wanted to break up team fights, and pick off an individual, them RRP would be good. Like, imagine PA blinks in, RRP's the enemies apart, maybe has a refresh on blink so she can jump to one character and kill them off, then that would be good for RRP. But Magnus' kit is very much orientated around grouping enemies and team fighting. RP is always going to have more synergy with his kit, and the use cases will always appear more often. As an example, let's take Invoker Deafening Blast with the 25 upgrade vs Tidehunter Ult. DB works really well with the big knockback because he doesn't want to be in the middle of the fight. For him, splitting up the enemies works in his favour to let him have more room to breathe. If DB brought the enemies to him, maybe it's better for his aoes, but he has no really tools to keep him alive in the close quarter brawl. On the other hand, Tidehunter would love if his ult sucked enemies in. His ult is a big team fight ability and grouping the enemies for his team would be so good. Given he's tanky too, he would fine in the middle of it. But if it pushed people away, Tidehunter's ult would be so much worse. Why does the tank want to move enemies out of his range. Magnus falls more in line with Tidehunter in this way.
Yeah like, the idea's good, and you can lab out plenty of possibilities in the lab, but actually applying the test results in an actaul game against players that doesn't want to die is a whole nother question. In any case, the practical applications of RRP would be to single Heros out/keep Heros away from each other, for things like Pudge Hook and Sky Ult, or when you perhaps DON'T want to push ALL the enemy Cores into your team, and as a Anti-Dive/Gank ability, Usefull to keep guys like Sniper or Drow safe. The question still remains if it's beats giving up regular RP, or if you can do the same with another Hero, and actually geting it off in the first place. All the positives in the world wouldn't matter if you can't land the ability, and in this case, land the ability in a practical way that doesn't grief your team. tl:dr RRP turns Magnus from a Initiator to a Disinitiator or Anti-Initiator. It's usefullness is significantly more debatable/dobious compare to just having RP.
League has a support character Janna who's ult knocks back nearby enemies in a similar way. She's designed as a peel/anti engage support so her kit is designed to facilitate that. You can use it as engage, but she's squishy so it doesn't end well usually.
What if reverse RP became a skill which effects all allies and it becomes a big save? .5 second stun on enemies and pushes all allies away. It could be like a big disengage spell... Still worse, but maybe makes it useable???

Smurfs enjoy staying in low mmr not getting out. What a dumb take. Ban accounts for selling accounts not for starting out in low mmr.
The play at 54:45 onwards just made pyrion look like an utter fool. RRRRP is completely vindicated, and pyrion must now retire in disgrace; cast out of the prestigious scrub dota casting industry to make his daily crust playing league of legends for busking money.

What Valve could do is instead of removing RRP they just give Magnus another facet, so you can choose between the 2 "Normal/Serious" facet while still keeping the Meme RRP Facet. Also fun fact, Meepo and his Clones can use Battlefury if you have the Pack Rat Facet, the one that lets you equip items in his Netrual Item Slot. All his Clones gain Cleave form the BF. Do with that what you will. Also Radiance burn doesn't work with Pack Rat. Sadge.
SPOILERS I mean, at this point, you might as well not even cast games with jugg in it. Fairly certain every scrubcast game with a jugg in it (which I also believe is always on radiant team) has lost the game with jugg doing next to nothing the whole game. I don't play the game, but I feel like jugg is a bad pick. Think the same can be said for Hoodwink in these games, but I could be mistaken. It does seem like she loses every scrubcast game as well.
Jugg is a pretty good hero, he almost always gets banned in my matches for how simple yet effective he is. The problem is, like you said, that the juggs in these games are so painfully passive they might as well not participate so their team gets more exp. For the whole fight that started at 11:00 in bottom lane he basically only used blade furry. He was constantly nervous and waiting to see what others did first, which, as a hard carry, is extremely bad for you and your team.
For sure that was a much larger movement of the player then normal reverse polarity and in a team grouping could easily create separation, in different situations, while saving skewer. Having the 360 degree activation also makes it easier to effect more players. It's funny to see Pyrion get concrete brain and be unable to see how having a long stun that pushes people away is reverse bad. All he can see is Magnus as cleave man, never that he could support and give cleave to others. (Was not the point to give characters multiple ways to play?)
It was kinda funny when they keep saying "imagine if he had RP" and not knowing that RRP has a lower cooldown and a much bigger radius. Sometimes if he had RP he would've either missed, or it wouldn't be off cooldown lol.

Reverse RP is actually very good. It lets you know who to report in your game for griefing.
