I'm finding Ritchie hard to learn not because of the notes or the speed but the swing thingy he does with the tempos where I don't expect it. That's one of the reasons he sounds so much like himself! You nailed those, congrats and keep it up!
The three main components of this sound I believe is the Boss OC 3 octave pedal, the BSM Galaxy drive pedal and the Custom Marshall Major amp. I dont understand the mods on a technical level, but you can have Max build you an amp like this. It is is an absolute must from Blackmore, but you can get surprisingly close with a marshall studio vintage SV20 with either the BSM Galaxy or Max's Aiwa pedal. reverb.com/en-hu/item/75217872-handwired-20w-marshall-major-with-blackmore-mods
@@DogwithtwoBones You seem to have nailed it. Very different to how I've played it. I definitely need to practice my bottleneck precision. Hardly ever use it.
@@DogwithtwoBones There is generally a lot to unpick with Blackmore, I find. What he lacks in technique, compared with later guitarists, he makes up for in melodic flair and swagger. I don't suppose you're willing and able to share the backing track?
@@jan-kjetiljess503 I agree with the swagger and melody but I think he had the appropriate amount of technique a guitarist need and others after him actually have surpassed the requirement. On the other hand Blackmore is a monster picker, his speed is astonishing he just doesnt do the usual shred drills that his successors came up with. Anyway I do have the backing track published disguised as the bass lesson: th-cam.com/video/FoKIExi1bCM/w-d-xo.html
@@DogwithtwoBones, I agree. Too many bells and whistles can become a distraction. Speed will never outdo melodic flair. A cousin of mine who is a very good singer actually avoids singing lessons for a similar reason. He doesn't want to lose the organic sound. The imperfections. Thanks for the heads up on the backing track! For now I'm still playing along with you, but I hope to ditch the support wheels this week!
Olá amigo desde 1982 quando ouvi pela primeira vez essa musica logo imaginei que um dia ia toca-la. Ja tinha tentado com o video original e não consegui, com o seu deu certo. É o melhor video que ja vi PARABÉNS.
That’s a roland gk guitar synthetizer pickup and it’s control module but i am not using it for the sound, it’s not plugged in, just for aesthetics. Blackmore did use it though.
Thank you Gennadiy I appreciate your kind words! I would do it for myself if youtube didnt exist but honestly I am glad I am able to share my covers and maybe help a few people save time with the tabs.
Not in this version. Aren’t you thinking of he rainbow 1984 concert version? I play some of that another video: th-cam.com/video/Se_ukuxJSN8/w-d-xo.html
It is a jetcity isolation cab, which is pretty small and has one speaker built in. So it is not a 4x12 or 2x12 in a box. I will show it too in my upcoming amp video. The amp itself is almost all the way up but it is attenuated as well.
@@DogwithtwoBones Of course. Bottom up is much easier to play. And to emphasize the tone by pressing harder on the string. Look at the video 8:46, what a strong accent on the string. This is the right hand technique. th-cam.com/video/VFqPMzFV5fM/w-d-xo.html
Кирилл Коч if you think about the octave effect it is a Boss OD3 octave pedal that adds one or two octaves in the low registers. Otherwise I have a custom marshall major and a BSM Galaxy whixh is an aiwa tape drive pedal. I have videos of these on my channel.

Thanks a lot! The hardest part is definitely understanding how he thinks because he has a unique way of changing things up for sure.
thank you, I'm searching for this so long
I am glad it way helpful! I have been meaning to do it for a while and I was happy it came together with a full collaboration.
Finally somebody playing the slide like Ritchie is more comfortable!!
Thanks. This is how I leant to play slide but since then I learnt the proper technique and now it’s hard to play liek this :D
Magnifico!!! Genial arreglo, muy padre!!!
Eres el mejor intérprete de Blackmore. Bien medidos los tiempos!!!
Muchas Gracias!
Awesome love that album
I love it too. So glad it’s on dvd too.
This is awesome! Where can i get a backin track for this?
The backing track is on my Patreon page with the tabs: www.patreon.com/posts/43205345
Ohh,i dont have a patreon yet...😞
Do you have a video anywhere that explains the modifications you’ve made to get this tone?………I’m searching for this tone! 👍

What are the inside dimensions of the iso cab (just approximately)? And how loud is it outside the cab when you're playing?
It is a jetcity isolation cab, which is pretty small and has one speaker built in. So it is not a 4x12 or 2x12 in a box. I will show it too in my upcoming amp video. The amp itself is almost all the way up but it is attenuated as well.
cool now i can learn to play this and make my friends think i'm playing some song from ff7
Have fun!

It is right-handed play that prevents Blackmore's phrases from being played.
You mean the picking is what makes it hard? If so I agree.

This is from 1994 :))
1993 Deep Purple Come Hell or Highwater video/concert.
@@DogwithtwoBones Ja, Korrekt!
Ritchie music from purple to Blackmore nights is a variation like a Rainbow 🌈 not like Yngwie he’s black and white!
