Need to correct you on certain issues. 1) Morning wet market opens as early as 5.30 am and not what you said at 9 am. I have been living near wet markets in different areas and I can do my purchases everyday because I live near them. 2) Depends where you live. Certain areas in KL, PJ, Ipoh speaks perfect or fluent Cantonese. Depending where you live. As for accent, every country has its own accent. Americans, British and Australians also have different accents. 3) Public transportation: Again, that depend where you live. I live in an area whereby public transport is easily accessible. LRT, MRT, buses are just a stone throw from my house. 4) Chinese Dialects: Chinese here speaks different dialects. Cantonese, Hokkkien, Hakka, Teochew, Hainan, Hockchew, Sunling etc. 5) Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Tamil, Hindi. Hope you find this useful. Thank you.

Malaysians wear casual clothes everywhere we go, not like HK, ppl like to dress in different trend. That is why we don't spend a lot $ on clothes unless there is a formal dinner or event. Ppl here don't care what you wear. :D Malaysia only got 1 season, no need to spend on winter clothes every year.

奇怪，在雪隆一帶的地區，我們大部分的華人都是以廣東話溝通的。辦公室裏工作上是廣東話，英語或馬來語。鮮少有華語的。
除非你是遇到那些看你是香港人就堅持以華語與你對談的人。很少見到有雪隆區的華人不會廣東話的。
不過也許你參與的社群不一樣。
oh 是了，吧生一帶確實是講福建話多的一區。也只好講華語了。
