Yeap, and I updated the video description to remove them and note that I've contacted Siemens to get the right links. It's been a couple of weeks now, and my guess is they will go live when the product is released on December 5th? Either way, I'll continue to work with Siemens to get the updated links, but at this point it's in their hands. - Shawn Edit: Just updated the links in the description - includes technical slides
The most exciting stuff will take a few more versions. The AI bot not available yet, visual studio code would be nice to use. But when i see the new export format for LAD blocks. It is a headache to read. Imagine having all 8 rungs connected on that block, searching in the text which rung goes where... Such a file should look like some ASCII art thing that displays the actual lines and contacts. Hopefully they keep improving the basic functionality as well! Sometimes load/compiiles take over an hour.
Good point, but I'm not sure we'll know until Siemens launches it later this week... I'm still hoping the links and presentations drop tomorrow so we can see the details.... - Shawn Edit: Just updated the links in the description - includes technical slides
I don't have v20, but the technical slides don't mention it either. The S7-300 is in v19, so I'd expect it to also be in 20, but ask your local Siemens rep to be sure. - Shawn
Great question - I'm not seeing anything about Windows 11 Arm support, but it may be best to await the final release notes when v20 releases, which is said to be Nov. 5, - Shawn Edit: Just updated the links in the description - includes technical slides Edit - no mention of Windows ARM Edition
Thanks @dan12321djd and @Coyote973 - I just sent John an email reminder (I want to review it myself :-D ) Edit: Just updated the links in the description - includes technical slides
Thanks for the heads up! I assumed since the guest had links to get v20 in his presentation that it was already released, but now I see the links aren't working - color me disappointed we didn't provide the expected release date in the interview as I was never given the impression it was not already out :-(
Still no dark mode 🥲
Question to US citizens, are CE certs that important for you except for export? They are european conformation, or do you use that too?
the links at 44:04 are invalid (on 29th Nov 2024)

Why is there no STL language on TIA Portal V20?
I don't have v20, but it is mentioned on slide 211... are you using a S7-1200? (they don't support STL?)

Will v20 Support S7300 plc Family?

Can we run tia portal on ARM laptop? Like surface pro?

Just got the release date from Siemens @boubou3609 - December 5th!
Well, it's 5th, nothing yet
Hey @lovrorb, I updated the links on the 5th to include the technical presentation...
Sounds like he’s marginally familiar with the S7 platform. A bit disappointing.
I do know John is very familiar with the S7 platform, however I do appreciate your feedback
