Ptera is so fun even if we’re just one hit away from death by the entire roster. Love being able to survive easily and travel everywhere on the map, plus gorgeous colors to choose from. Wish there was more water resources by the beaches to really give that authentic ptera gameplay.
I've logged around 500 hrs on the Petit Pied server, alone, and my favourite species there (the bot keeps logs of your stats and a lot of other stuff, highly recommended) is PT. Pro tip: Rebind the Airbrake (default Z key) to a mouse-thumb button. Having it there instead makes you more manouverable and controlled, as you don't have to take a finger off of the directional keys, or the controls. And you're not using the thumb buttons for anything either way. Should give you a lot more control! EDIT: Also, don't skim. It's letting every croc in that area that you're fishing, and they can snap you out of the air when you're skimming. Just left click and get good at that so you don't have to die in a foolish way just because you're relying on skimming.
I have airbrake at the mouse thumb button as well but in the video I'll show the default key binds for the simplicity. Also most of my gameplay videos are from petits pieds, I rarely see pteras anymore but perhaps that's been you the few times I've seen a ptera
@@Doqi What's your name on the server then? I play them quite frequently, and last friday we managed to breed so many PTs that we were the 2nd ranked species on the server at peek hours :p If you want, you can play with my group
wonderful i absolutely love the realistic approach of this game. Hopefully will continue on this idea guides like this are just great, had no idea about some of the features / stats until now.. what i would change tho after seeing all this, is the stamina regen. while latched on a tree (meaning to be able to regain some standing here) and to be able to move up/down on that tree and NV...to me looks still pitch-black... would be understandable to be that bad when the combo of night + storm happens...but other than that no bueno
hello. I would like to see another flying dinosaur in the Isle. for example, microraptor, Rhamphorhynchus, Allkauren . Someone who would compete with a Pteranodon in the sky.
PT is „thrill n chill“ my only enemys are big crocs while drinking, or other bored Dinos who just want a kill for theyre ego. Other reason are weird hitboxes when i peck some Omnis, Juvies or other dinos. Sometimes i peck and fly 10 Meters high alt. and away and suprise ! Omni catch me ??? LOL Matrix !
Yeah, there's really no reason to hunt pteras anymore because it's not on omni's diet anymore and the small organs only give a few percent. In spiro pteras were a good food source for growing omnis, not any more though
Which muts do you guys use the most? I using for now reabsorbtption and less stamina jumping one. Don't really know which else to choose. By now it's nutrition decay
It's done by holding Alt and clicking LMB and the attack will go in the direction of the camera (keep in mind you have to enable manual alt attack on gameplay settings otherwise it will always bypass the regular attack when stationary). Directional attacks cost 2% of stamina and deal slightly more damage.
@@Doqi Actually it feels right for me as a new player to be able to attack in the direction I want without turning my dino manually using wasd and without a necessity to press additional button (Alt) noone told me about (in the game)
@@Rodina14 I get that but you can't use regular attack when trotting/standing which is faster and doesn't cost stam. Test them out and choose whichever you like better

I’m really hoping for fish to spawn in the ocean so you can truly be Costal

The best guide out here by far. Loved it . Please teach us how to find other food sources in the water access. Ty

Eventually we'll see Quetz but it could take awhile, some glider that could also climb would be cool though
Unfortunately I think it was either Punch or Kissen who said recently that Ptera and Quetz will be the only flyers in the game :(
Thank you so much!!!!

Ohhh i saw you recording the nesting in Norden! I was the herrera
Very nicely done.
I feel like Pteranodon should be able to get killed by a Dryo from 3 or 5 hits, not 1 hit.
Seems like that's a typo, it's supposed to be 3 hits to the body and 2 tot he head

I wish there was another giant bird that does more dmg. Ptera is cool but the dmg is very tiny and the stamina is emptied way too fast
@@zulutonic there's Quetz but who knows how many years it's gonna take untill we get to play it
i hope flying dont take ridiculous amount of stam
Night Vision... none
Wait, is pteranodon's growth really 2 hour?
wasn't it like 30 minutes before?!!!
With a perfect diet it's 1:25h and it used to be 45 min iirc. But if you can't get and maintain the diet then it's easily ~2h
There are bird sounds but there are no birds.
No way a DRYO can one shot ptera 😂 needs buffs
