I have learned so much from the content but probably what keeps bringing me back is the delight you take in each other's friendship - laughter is so healing!
Pepper suggests that we might need a different word for the good kind of shame which Curt refers to as a greif that leads to repentance. I like the word "contrition." See Isaiah 57:15. I have loved this podcast. Thank you for your work here. It is changing my life.
I’m with you Curt. I’m not quite as mechanically challenged but I have the same fears about any new project requiring me to use tools or fix anything. I’ve learned to use TH-cam but still get paralyzed by shame and fear. I’ve even talked to my wife about how I haven’t earned my man card yet.
Y’all - I was in DEEP and then at 33:00 literally spewed the water I was drinking in all out laughter! Perfect!!!! I need a new one too! Ha!!! Thank you Amy - I needed that!!!

Recognizing it more quickly is kind of encouraging!
Curt, I love you so much!
Getting the bathroom talk (post show footage) is the best! Made the whole show worth listening to!

You fix people, not toilet seats! You fix people who feel like broken toilets!!!
In the example of speaking meanly to Phyllis, Pepper brought up her shame should be different than yours, or perhaps non existent?
Toilet paper is quite an appropriate comparison to shame!
