    My roommate and I are working on a startup using Django and React. I used Django for 3 years while in college and I used it for my capstone before I graduated. If you're interested in hearing about the idea let me know :)

    I just want to say that what you're teaching in django is something I've never really seen on youtube and other platforms about django and how to make things work on your own. Thank you very much.
    I'm editing this comment to ask you something. Actually I learned django last full year (I'm a college student so couldn't do it on daily basis) but created blog application and appointment system with the help of it and my basics and some intermediate level of django were clear except 1 thing I really don't get the answer of where should I put my static files like JS/CSS/images in folder structure of django(in seprate apps or one static folder). I learned from documentation and stackoverflow but got confused about it. If this is something you can explain in 5 minutes anywhere in upcoming videos that would be a lot of help to me. Thank you once again for this amazing stuff.

      Always separate the logic from static files, so you need to create a static folder at the root and set up in the settings file.

  • @aashiq_hasnat
    @aashiq_hasnat 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think it to much for dark and light theme to change entire css file...Just use Css variable one click and change the value simple

    • @DennisIvy
      @DennisIvy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In a real scenario I would keep one css file for the layout and another for colors. This way your not replacing the entire file.

    hay...why dont you make a mobile app on react native

  • @clauseclause6640
    @clauseclause6640 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Man, first of all, you're hardcoding CSS path, that is not Django way to do it, you should use template tags. Second: why do you need a name field in your model? And why don't you use choices for value field? Now, if you write anything rather than light in your model, even 'ligt' for example, it would act as the dark. Third: why do you need 2 buttons? Just make one switch theme. Such little details make you code bad.
