Great win for Huang Dongping and Wang Yilyu, who had been playing second fiddle to Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong, to win for the first time in eight meetings. They continued their brilliant form in this tournament to upset the favorites with superb tactical play which confounded Zheng and Huang. In a way, it is good in the Chinese camp to have a second strong mixed doubles pair besides Zheng and Huang for future contests.
In XD, the Chinese Camp has got DU Yue/HE Jiting as well as LI Yinhui/ZHANG Nan.
Only Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong and Wang Dongping/Wang Yilyu are capable of becoming world champs or winning major titles.
I learned a lot from watching this match - full of excellent racket skills, movement and tactics. Wonderful match from top players!
Intense competition even within the china team itself. Very competitive. Very high standard of badminton. Serious stuff. No game, everybody means business.

Have to admit that Wang/Huang played top quality badminton, but can’t help but feel disappointed at Zheng/Huang’s performance. Huang lacked in her performance at the front of the net, not hunting the shuttle like she usually does. She was also slightly lacking in terms of defence often falling victim to smashes. In terms of Siwei too many shots were long and wasn’t utilizing the gaps on court. And I couldn’t help but noticed that it seemed that their team dynamic was a little off, frequently being in wrong position and having the wrong player go for the wrong shots.

huang yahq is not deserve No 1 seed , she is not able to intercept the front shuttle even opportunity knocking, that really force zheng working too hard to score points, 21 points game, zheng has to score 16 plus each game, huang y q not deliver, no contribution, I don't see she can improve anymore, not a good partner for zheng 2 years later ---tokyo olympic

I feel like she's a bit overrated, I mean she's good...but the way people and commentator talk about her it's like she's zhao yunlei or something, she's not...not even close. I've never seen someone as intimidating as zhao yunlei at the front court till now.
Huang Yaqiong is overrated ... Zheng Siwei is special player, I think He still can win many trophies without HYQ ..
one thing that you must understand-------human body physical ability, durability.wears and tears.
remember in the past 6, 7 years, lee chongwei never won any major events such as olympic, world champ, why? because he had to pass the hurdle from at least 2 chinese men's single players, lin dan, chen jin, Chen long. in quater final, , semifinal, you may pass,but once in the final, you ran out of fuel---cause lossing the game,
this is worry the chinese coach---- if huang yaqiang not able to score at least 8 points in a game, zheng shiwei has to burn out tons of energies, very dangerous running out of fuel even he gets into the final round
