Excellent tips, I started doing wheelies a day ago thanks to your video it was very helpful to me, I like when you talk about safety first of all for the rider and I love when you say about the damage that you can cause to a 4 stroke quad, I have a 450R and I had no idea about the lubrication if you wheelie for so long, thank you.
best video tutorial on the tube man i feel more comfortable now to attempt it after owning my quad for around 4months and really not kowning where i should actually start. im not the best rider but definitely not the worst however wheelies ive just never been any good at i guess after trying them abit on my 2 wheeler and coming off i decided to give it up and try 4 wheels with the hope it would be easier.. wish me luck. ... oh i have a HondaTRX 450ER.
Thank you soooooo much! This makes total sense to me... As a Female rider of my bike crew, Ive faced alot of presurre from my guys saying "just do it'! lol And never wanna let the boys show me up too bad so I dare not admit that logically I couldnt understand how. This video cleared that very well. I have a Yfz 450 and I kick alot of butt on it! This is gonna take me to the next level Thanks again
I used to be decent at it back in the day, had a raptor 700 with a twist throttle , now I've got a yfz450 ,I've been practicing the last couple of days , and i rode a dew decent wheelies out, some standing up some sitting down, some people say it's easier standing up ,think it's easier for me sitting down, but i put it on the wheelie bar a few times
very nice video man im just in the learning process im getting better and better but i think with a couple of your tipps i will wheelie like a god in a couple of weeks :D
Just saw this in my video in my feed , subscribed because it's a great video and your on a Banshee!!! Just wanted to add one thing, Don't forget to breathe when you're doing/practicing wheelies!!! Lol.
Bought my Suzuki ltr450 8 months ago and wanna start learning how to wheelie, great video. Gonna try the tip you said by tipping the quad and try to find my balance. Thanks for one of the top wheelie video!
Glad the vid helped. If you put a little "bounce" on the grab bar as you release the clutch that will help a ton too. I can do a more in depth video if needed.
Dude thanks a lot you help me with my overflow carb problem and now how to pop a wheelie...lol i kind freak out when i did it at first but now i got it..Thanks a lot
I try to wheelie my blaster, i can do pretty good ones in second gear if i dump the clutch, ive fallen off my dads 450r getting cocky with them before, luckily i was on grass, great video!
This is an excellent video thanks alot! I am starting to do wheelies on my banshee and will it burn out the clutch to get it up and do u need to use the clutch ?
One more thing that makes a 4-stroke a little bit easier to wheelie on is a 4-stroke has excellent engine braking so you're almost don't even need to touch the brake but I do recommend leaving your foot on rear brake so that way if you do start to go over you can stop it by applying rear brake. Really a 4-stroke is the one you wants to learn on. 👍
Good video. I think the front brakes do have a small effect when they are in the air. I use the brakes to to flatten out my quad if the front end is too high or it’s off level left to right. P.s nice banshee.
Love the banshee! I have a Yamaha blaster which is incredibly easy to wheelie. I can be in first gear slide my ass back into the rear and slam the gas and up comes the front wheels!
yeah man i was watching to many bike life videos and wanted to be just like them , and i had a banshee when i was younger and never really wheelied more then half a block , and when i got my new banshee 3 years ago i went crazy took a fall and bam made me realize how dangerous it is ,
+Kid Prepper If that is your first ATV I suggest to go for something not too powerful like a 150cc or 200cc and learn how to drive them first... after you have some experience then you get something more like a 450cc ATV or over that, is up to you. Hondas are really nice ATV's. Easy to fix, not expensive and you can find tons of aftermarket parts. TRX450 2006+ are really good ones and also you have the YFZ450's... also good ones. Drive safe.. cheers..
A while back I was do about a 50mph wheel on my my trx 450 and and let it don't and both tie rods snapped and got hurt pretty bad, don't matter how good you are something can still happen.
i agree with you they do hold up well but it's just a matter of time until you sit on your bike and ull realize you have 10-15 inchs of clearance from the ground... no matter what type of suspensions you have the more the jumps the closer you get to having them rebuilt oor re-tuned whichever comes first that's why theres always that one guy or team that tune's or rebuilds your suspension before and after a race ( pro-local races and national races ) hope this clears things for you
That's a good distance. It is much more difficult on a 2 stroke to ride longer wheelies like that. This ground is extremely unlevel too so that adds even more difficulty to it.
thankyou i tried doing that find the balace point thing i dont now if if its becuase im 12 or my atv is super heavy its a 110 cc chienese tho but i alos have a yamaha but it dose like 70 75 so i wanted to practice on a slower bike we only have it so when friends come over but yea i poped my first real wheelie and my friend was amazed and i showed him what you showed me so we kept practicing it
No prob man. You can always look up a gear calculator on google too. I wanna say a 2 inch increase in the rear tire is equal to 1 front tooth or three rear teeth. Pretty close to that.
i mean wheelie a 4 stroke seem easier cause the lift off is easy cause direct power but a banshee i struggle i do power wheelies from moving and giving it powerwhen the power band hits... i wanna learn to do normal wheelies, i did get my 4 stroke honda 300 up but like i still end up doing power wheelies but i can get it up from a stop but i cant find my balance...
they should just make a rear grab bar that comes bent upward like that we are just gonna end up bendin it up anyhow and it makes it easier to stand on lol. My YFZ450 has a piece of plastic that sticks out right there and I am always worried about getting my boot stuck in it, I like how the Banshee and Warriors didnt have that.. considering a hack job lol
You do not need to use the clutch IF your banshee has enough power. However I would recommend using it. It will wear your clutch but not nearly as fast as racing does.
I run a 400 LTZ.. I have been Wheeling, Endo's and 2 Wheels a million times over. Bust machines... Break Bones... Shredded "SAFETY" gear. But you really broke down the fundamentals of it really well. I am a show off rider, the most dangerous type of rider Lol I am not afraid to hurt myself for a good stunt or good footage.... but I like how you are showing beginners how to approach this stunt. Very professional... I wish I had a video like this when I started on my first Sport Quad. Could have saved me a broken arm or two lol
Can you do a video on what to do if you're going to look at / once you take the banshee home what to look over and what to do to it so you don't have any worries thank you !

what size tires you run i have a 22x11-9 rear & a 22x8-10 front.. are they to big to wheelie? because its hard everyone on youtube banshee have small tires when they wheelie
whenever i wheelie sitting down and the quad comes all the way up i just hold on and push the brake all the way and it usually comes down of i’ll just end straight up still on it till it stops lol
On my 400ex, I do it in first, lean back and pull her up, no clutch dropping or anything bad of that sort, but I do feel like this is just a to well explained video, you just gotta go do it, and not think about it.. I learned on a hill, and now I can ride them for miles
Oh I do, I wheelie with Yamaha Warrior but the tires are different air levels so it turns to a certain side. and back break dosent work so I use clutch to go down
I just got my 450 and have experience riding never tried any tricks or anything always rode safe but now i want to learn how to wheelie i weigh about 193 pounds i was wondering will that make it easy to wheelie and i think i will start in the grass first just incase i fall
Jumping isn't easy on your bearings either. However jumping is only for a split second, as well as usually landing on 4 wheels instead of staying on 2.
Slow wheelies on a 2 stroke... you deserve an award. Coming from a zilla owner, ill never feel a slow wheelie on that thing.
:) takes practice thats for sure!
Bought a 2003 Yamaha 660 Raptor, did my first wheel involuntarily.. scared the shit out of me.. Don't hit the throttle too hard, noted..
James Rex same with my 2005 trx450r
Dumbass lean forward
I haven't rode in 10 years. Now yesterday I got a lt 450r . Fuck me. This thing is stupid.
Lol been there 😂😂😂
ChiTownKRAZYVILLE shut the fuck up everyone new to Yamaha does it 😂😂

oh i have a HondaTRX 450ER.
+mervyn burnett good choice of quad to start on! good luck! post back!
That thing sounds badass man! Currently looking for a banshee myself, can't wait to pick one up
I'ma try standing my quad up and get comfy setting it down, thats was a big help. Thanks bro. I'm a new rider so I appreciate this!! Outlaw 500
The best video I've seen on wheelies. I'm ready to practice now. Thank you!!! 💪🏽
Thanks for the video. I just got my 400 Suzuki and trying to learn how to do a wheelie
Thank you soooooo much! This makes total sense to me... This vid was perfect can’t wait to try my first wheelie now on my banshee I just picked up

Great video I actually ride a xr1200x but still found this very informative.
good vid ive been doing wheelies in 4th gear all the time on highway with cars etc.... verydangeus and i learned my lesson this is a good learner vid
thanks man your videos are always helpful especially because you own a banshee.
Appreciate all the good notes 📝 brotha vary helpful
Awesome video man. Thanks for the detailed explanation, going to try some of those tips next time, cheers!

Bought my Suzuki ltr450 8 months ago and wanna start learning how to wheelie, great video. Gonna try the tip you said by tipping the quad and try to find my balance. Thanks for one of the top wheelie video!
Christopher Cederlöf :) glad I could help! Wear your helmet! :)
tbh the banshee sounds like a cross between a 636 and a 2 stroke, I LOVE IT
:) me too! thanks!
Nathan Van Dyke ikr
Hey man thanks for the video I have rode all my life but never really wheelie until now I'm starting a little
Raptor Montana Man glad you liked the vid! Thanks! Keep it up and stay safe!
Great vids as always, thx..

J0S1TO Glad I was able to help! Stay safe brother!
SparkysGarage hey sparky i have a Yamaha blaster 250 2stroke would my quad have that problem about the oil
Joey Kiger
No. 2 stroke quads dont have that problem.
thanks nice vid by the way sorry about that
I try to wheelie my blaster, i can do pretty good ones in second gear if i dump the clutch, ive fallen off my dads 450r getting cocky with them before, luckily i was on grass, great video!

thank you for helping me
badass banshee u got there
Thanks man!
SparkysGarage will u sub to me BTW ure bansshe is badass
I have a trx450r with stock suspension and it holds up great even on flat landings.
Good video. I think the front brakes do have a small effect when they are in the air. I use the brakes to to flatten out my quad if the front end is too high or it’s off level left to right. P.s nice banshee.
Thanks really cool your vídeo :)
Thanks! Nice bike
Thanks! Very welcome!
Thanks man :)
Love the banshee! I have a Yamaha blaster which is incredibly easy to wheelie. I can be in first gear slide my ass back into the rear and slam the gas and up comes the front wheels!
What gear
riversid3 IxE best gears for powerwheelies is first and second. You can do it in 3rd and 4th but you gotta shift your body weight back a bit.
I am almost always in second gear. Good question, I forgot to include that.
best video awesome I'm subscribing you
Glad to hear it :)
Thank you so much! Do you think a z400 will work the same way as your banshee?
Keep at it!
thx this helped me steer better yes im a kid on a fourwheller for 16ten year old and up
LMAO when you inquired about the diesel!
yeah man i was watching to many bike life videos and wanted to be just like them , and i had a banshee when i was younger and never really wheelied more then half a block , and when i got my new banshee 3 years ago i went crazy took a fall and bam made me realize how dangerous it is ,
What do you suggest is the best reasonable priced race quad on the market because I'm 14 and thinking about getting a race quad
+Kid Prepper There are too many to list. All of the 450's are great. Just personal preference.
+Kid Prepper If that is your first ATV I suggest to go for something not too powerful like a 150cc or 200cc and learn how to drive them first... after you have some experience then you get something more like a 450cc ATV or over that, is up to you. Drive safe.. cheers..
Blaster is a great starter bike with some pep and are very cheap also a 300ex would be nice as well
Blaster 200 then maybe 400ex
I went from 125s to a ltz 400 125 Chinese’s btw I would recommend been 2 years still not bored
Will do, have a few planned
A while back I was do about a 50mph wheel on my my trx 450 and and let it don't and both tie rods snapped and got hurt pretty bad, don't matter how good you are something can still happen.
Tihs really helped thanks
i agree with you they do hold up well but it's just a matter of time until you sit on your bike and ull realize you have 10-15 inchs of clearance from the ground... no matter what type of suspensions you have the more the jumps the closer you get to having them rebuilt oor re-tuned whichever comes first that's why theres always that one guy or team that tune's or rebuilds your suspension before and after a race ( pro-local races and national races ) hope this clears things for you
Glad you are ok now
Sick Banshee, i want one
good video an advice for beginners
Thanks :)
I have a honda ATC250r and that is fun to practice wheelies on
Trasmastic CR for sure man 👍🏻
That's a good distance. It is much more difficult on a 2 stroke to ride longer wheelies like that. This ground is extremely unlevel too so that adds even more difficulty to it.
How did you get that fender cut-off look to your Banshee? Do it yourself or did it come in a separate body kit package? Looks cool.
+Quinton King outlined it with tape the cut with a hacksaw and sanded. Turned out great.
Thanks brother!
SparkysGarage what grit did you use to sand it down after you sawed the fenders off?
What mods are done? What size tires? what gearing?
I promise your banshee can wheelie!
Thank you
thankyou i tried doing that find the balace point thing i dont now if if its becuase im 12 or my atv is super heavy its a 110 cc chienese tho but i alos have a yamaha but it dose like 70 75 so i wanted to practice on a slower bike we only have it so when friends come over but yea i poped my first real wheelie and my friend was amazed and i showed him what you showed me so we kept practicing it
Stay safe and wear your gear! Ride hard!
thanks
Ahh your such a nice guy sparky. Lol
Excellent suggestion. Ill definitely do a video on how to jump :)
Are you pulling in your clutch when you do wheelies or is it all just gas.
Dropping it most likely
No prob man. You can always look up a gear calculator on google too. I wanna say a 2 inch increase in the rear tire is equal to 1 front tooth or three rear teeth. Pretty close to that.
I wish I could see how u release your clutch because I'm kinda afraid of just popping clutch out and what gear are you in?
Second gear. It's a fairly quick release.
+SparkysGarage thanks
i mean wheelie a 4 stroke seem easier cause the lift off is easy cause direct power but a banshee i struggle i do power wheelies from moving and giving it powerwhen the power band hits... i wanna learn to do normal wheelies, i did get my 4 stroke honda 300 up but like i still end up doing power wheelies but i can get it up from a stop but i cant find my balance...

In taller than stock in the front. Inch wider than stock in the back.
nice
what size tires you run
i have a 22x11-9 rear & a 22x8-10 front.. are they to big to wheelie? because its hard everyone on youtube banshee have small tires when they wheelie
I have a question, those tires, would you happen to know were to get them. My quad has them tires but my back right has gone dull
I picked these up used. Try rockymountainatv.com
Alright, thanks. I'll check it out.
+SparkysGarage Rocky Mountain ATV is where I shop for tires alsi
whenever i wheelie sitting down and the quad comes all the way up i just hold on and push the brake all the way and it usually comes down of i’ll just end straight up still on it till it stops lol
Are you talking for if you're going to buy one?
what gear are you wheelieing in? first or second

400ex's are the best for wheelies :)
Yee, and btw that is a badass Banshee..
Thanks!
I just started yesterday day doing wheelies and today I can ride 50 60 yard wheilies
Oh I do, I wheelie with Yamaha Warrior but the tires are different air levels so it turns to a certain side. and back break dosent work so I use clutch to go down
what grab bar do you use because my 300ex grab bar snapped while doing wheelies
it has fmf powercore 2 pipes and k&n air filter tire size is 22 x 11-10 the rear is kinda tall. i do 1st gear.
That trick of yours is great but what if its a big bore that weighs almost 1000 pounds?
So when I'm ready to stop I hold clutch and rear brake?
Can you explain how it is hard on the axle and swing arm bearings?
im only 14 years old and i own a 2 stroke yamaha banshee 350 limited edition (2003) which gear should i do it on? and how is the best way to do it?
any help??^^
+Sir Galleth on 2nd is always easier
I just got my 450 and have experience riding never tried any tricks or anything always rode safe but now i want to learn how to wheelie i weigh about 193 pounds i was wondering will that make it easy to wheelie and i think i will start in the grass first just incase i fall
Rashad Dorsey Should be very simple on a 450
Gotta cover my bases :)
Yessir
Jumping isn't easy on your bearings either. However jumping is only for a split second, as well as usually landing on 4 wheels instead of staying on 2.
just hit the throttle nd lift up at the perfect time soon as you pull back the throttle but keep your balance
Many ways to skin a cat :)
When I wheelie it do I hold the clutch or do I just pull it once
Pulled it prior to the wheelie. It should be released during the wheelie.
how does it like like the aMsoil. dumb question but was curious
cartoonist1975 works great! Seems to help make the gas last longer and smells great when it burns.
thats ams lol. thanks for the quick response. regularly i wait 2wks or more
Stiffer springs in the back and a hair lighter in the front will help to
