To lots of Festivals in the netherlands: Can you please open doors 30-60 minutes before the first DJs starts? So that lots of people can have the chance to see the beginning? Very often the first DJ is playing alone and later in front of a small crowd. Thats very sad for me. I travel long ways with my friends to see the whole show and to enjoy my favorite DJs.
This was a proper opening. Combining Millennium/early classics with the latest tracks, even squeezing a hardstyle remix of Promo in (which fittet btw). Chapeau for the track selection. Only made it for the last couple of tracks as I was totally lost in the maze of jaarbeurs after a 10 hour bustrip and 2 hours of preparty with booze and beers xD. BTW this was clearly mixed live, as you can hear from the partly not so perfect transitions. But I like those happy little accidents more than overly polished sets which really appear to be prerecorded. That added to the rawness Thunderdome stood, stands and always will stand for I believe.
Yes we goto see the dj play live we dont go to watch the lights be in sync with the music. I want to hear the dj be slightly out and fix it that is what djing is about!
I gotta say that the transitions were not that good at all, any old school rave dj would have done a lot better. She also cut way too much out of some all time classics, that was blasphemy to me. We didn't need these instant rushes and gratification back in the day, the dj's took more time and care into making the entire set a journey.
@@petejay75 she had only 45 min to open the stage, showcase her tracks, play classics, set an atmosphere etc. Opening a party is way harder than playing in the middle of the night

the whole "truly produced by an artist is really muddy anyway. especially if you look at the industry as an whole. alot of respected pioneers dont produce their own tracks. but still are respected for what they did in the scene. even names you thought 100% produced everything themselves. so im glad to see a talent really mixing up and trying to create an entertaining set. instead of "real production" boring setlists.
