Spiderman and Venom Separation Anxiety for SNES
ColoniaContraAtaca Separation Anxiety was terrible, very 2 seconds you were hit with a cheap shot that knocked you down. It was enraging.

Separation Anxiety was lackluster. It wasn't a worthy follow-up to this.
Personally I think James and Mike didn't give this game enough credit. They didn't say it was shit, but it also wasn't good. I think it is good but with a few flaws. At the time, this was the best Spiderman game out there. Great music, good control, and simple fun gameplay. I say check it out. But that's my opinion.

This game was made by Software Creations of Manchester, England. I used to work for them in the early 2000's and I remember seeing giant posters and cardboard cutouts of maximum carnage. It was a cool place to work.

I luved this game when I was younger. It's funny I was screaming climb the walls for extra health and 1up.
one of my favorite games as a kid, was impossible for me to beat without all the secret rooms and extra lives hidden in the levels
The Amazing Spiderman for the Wii its a pretty good game. It's very much like the PS3/X360 version without open world. One might think that's bad but, actually, it makes for a game in wich you don't have to wander around to find someone to beat. Hidden gem for the Wii

Smokey McJoint Not impossible, just super hard. Worst part is when they take away all your powerups at the end and you have to fight Carnage heads up.
One game I was proud to beat that's for damn sure!
The end levels aren't so tough if you managed to pick up the secret extra lives throughout the game and learned how to stun-lock the various boss characters.
Carnage in particular is a piece of cake once you've figure out his pattern and how to stun-lock him.
it is so painful to watch you guys figure this out, did we do this as kids? his spider sense is going off! haha

This game is good also on Genesis
And that port of an SNES game was made by Acclaim instead of LJN, because LJN was part of Acclaim.
I actually like the music on Genesis better
Snes music is of higher quality Imo but the Genesis' music has a gritty charm that can really make the atmosphere of the game, depending on what your playing.
I always liked the sound of the Genesis for this game better. Seemed to fit the music better for me.

Separation Anxiety (the follow up to this) is actually two player...but it is a less quality game

I think you can climb the buildings for secret power-ups in this game. Also, Spiderman can make a webshield.
I was like "they won't be prepared for the building stage".... hahaha I wasn't wrong !
I honestly couldn't get into any Spider-Man games until the psx era. Now those are great!!

This game is on Genesis too but the Genesis version says it was made by Acclaim. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t suck. It’s not actually an LJN game
I loved this game as a kid but it was so rough at times.
I played the Sega Genesis version of this game (I believe it had another name, but it was THIS game) and it was for 1 or 2 players. Had a blast playing it with a friend.

Pretty sure they just published it. They probably didn't make a lot of their bad games. But still, their names were tied to them so it's not any better.
Wow, that looks like a good game for its time. The fights looked fun, the design was not shabby-looking, while the controls seemed pretty sleek.

I used to play this game all the time, I guess they didn't know that there's an extra life under the water tower in the rooftop battle
It's one of my favorite AVGN moments when you go like "It's not shit!". There's also a new Spider-Man game coming in September and it looks really good. You guys should check it out.
Death and return of Superman does that where the super moves are separate power-ups.

I beat it a couple of times on Sega as a kid, but never had it down to a science, sometimes, Carnage would just destroy you, as it should be. And, it's all about getting as many lives and using the hero power ups correctly, almost survival horror style conservation of resources.
I don’t know why people don’t understand how to use special attack’s in games where it hurts you, it’s meant to bail you out of an onslaught of attacks that would end up doing more damage to you.

I have this game and it was one of my favorite. Mainly for the starting song.
I had both the SNES and Genesis version and I like the Genesis version better. The gameplay was a lot smoother and moved along a bit faster than the SNES.
This game was hard as nails. Really wish it had a password system when you die late in the game it's punishing to go through all the early levels again
That's why super moves are only for emergency. Tho it is fun to use blitz attacks every 6 seconds in streets of rage 3

I think that weapon is called a "blackjack" in english. In Dutch it's called a "ploertendoder" loosely translated to Bastard-killer :D
It's not "average", it's not "okay" - it's actually really-really good. But damn, it is kinda hard. I couldn't beat it as a kid.
If you climbed up on the walls on some levels there are hidden lives, Health etc

This game is literally the best spider Man game made on the snes it's painful watching them play it because I know the moves and they never do anyone's web sheild they didn't know when u grab a enemy you push up and you put them over your head and it is the only way to keep your health by knocking the enemy's down so they don't gang up on u love this game they didn't swing around or climb enough spiderman n venom both web grab and web sheild and double tap forward to run and tackle I love these guys I really do but I feel they are not as good as I thought if you use mortal Kombat and street fighter special move combos in most the games you get cool moves like in X-Men apocalypse each character has their own powers with right combos and they didn't know that either

I typed that before you mentioned it lmao but please do....and FYI the Death of Superman game is pretty faithful to what happened in the storyline...it really is for what it was a very good game...they cared about this game and it shows with the decent attention to detail

I love watching you man but sometimes you make me shake my head. This game is awesome and there's so many things you dont do. For example, climb! There are things on the buildings like hearts, continues, even extra lives.

You're not gonna get anywhere in this game unless you master the double noggin knocker that can instant KO certain boss enemies.
Now that was a hard-ass game you got to know exactly where to get the one ups at and secret rooms that was the only way to survive in this game other than that it took me a long time to Beat It
It's NOOOOOT shit! It's kinda bad, tho. =P I believe LJN used to tell all of its collaborators "yeah, your game is fine but remember that you gotta have limited continues and you must be PENALIZED for losing".
You guys actually missed a lot of hidden extra lives and a continue icon.
I hope when mike stream this whole thing, if he doers, we should help by giving some secrets. XD since this game is really hard with limited Lifes. one of them is climbing the walls in certain areas.
