As much as I'm STOKED, when every once in a while you react to one of Adam's gems, I'm bummed each and every time you don't react to his rendition of "Change is Gonna Come" on idol... This was a great reaction as always. Thanks...
Love this performance, not only is it vocally astounding, but also always makes me tear up: the lyrics in that last part when he fully starts belting are so powerful and he performs that with so much emotion, his voice seems truly endless and free. They arranged this song for him perfectly
I always felt Adam had a crazy almost limitless range but I can find it funny that Simon Cowell said a long long time ago that he can only see Adam doing stage plays and here we are.
This give me goose bumps every time I hear it. It’s so nice to see you reacting to Adam . Please listen to some of his music from his new album Velvet!!!
And I believe this was before American Idol. That was Val Kilmer on stage too. I wish there was good footage of Adam in "Wicket". Simon was not wrong to say in his audition he was theatrical. He had that background.
Love your reactions, and love ANYTHING Adam Lambert, solo or with Queen (QAL)!! LOL! This was from a performance of The Ten Commandments: The Musical. It debuted on December 21, 2004 at the Kodak Theatre, in Hollywood. Adam performed the role of Joshua and Val Kilmer in the role of Moses. As a whole, the musical was not well received. Val Kilmer was cast to add "star value" however, Adam was said to be "given all the big vocal work on behalf of the Hebrews because Kilmer's Moses can't handle it." This was long before his American Idol days in 2009. Regardless of the overall reception of the musical, Adam's performance was truly fantastic.
There are so, so many live performances of Adam's that I think you'd enjoy. Here are two "before" and "after" American Idol: Adam Lambert & Noa Dori singing 'The Prayer'-David Foster which was pre-Idol th-cam.com/video/iu_dPnRzbRQ/w-d-xo.html and his live sessions of Closer to You from his fourth album, Velvet in 2019 th-cam.com/video/lnaEWxv_fhA/w-d-xo.html Would love to see your reactions. Enjoy!
The Ten Commandments: The Musical from 2006 Adam plays Joshua and it’s pretty much the only thing worth watching it for. Val Kilmer is in it as Moses and it’s ROUGH. The vocals from Kilmer, the set design, and, according to Adam, a terribly homophobic environment made for a trash fire of a musical. It’s kinda fun to watch though, like an amazing movie star acting their ass off in a terrible movie. But some of the other actors have incredible live vocals as well so 🤷🏼♀️
From what I remember this musical was inspired by a french musical called les dix commandements (the ten commandments) but with totally different songs. I think the songs of the french musical are far superior, they are absolutely cult in France. This is either the most successful musical in France or the second one, I don't know exactly. You should react to the best known song of the musical l'envie d'aimer th-cam.com/video/R59Msiz8yAc/w-d-xo.html , you won't be disappointed! Celine Dion sang an english version of the song in one of her albums "the greatest reward". Here Celine duetting and improvising live on the song with Daniel Levi th-cam.com/video/uKS2K2_bta4/w-d-xo.html
It’s so cool seeing reactions to his older stuff! I’ve been a fan of Adam’s for a decade and his deep cuts still hit hard. I’d recommend the recording of his live performance from Brigadoon “Come to Me Bend to Me”. I think it’s from 2004. Wayyyy up there in my favorites ❤️
Adam is a beast! He didn't even win American Idol and look at him now. That man can SANG his butt off.
Why on earth wasn't this young man's incredible talent recognised back then ???
because he is gay.....thats why he did not win Idol....it is different now, more accepting...but not then.
@@denisemarcucci2670 america couldn''t handle him or his raw talent
Yes! I'm always waiting for your reactions! Adam is simply one of the best vocalist of our generation.
Finally a lit of bit of Lambert !!
Good reaction.
Hes THE KING!
Thanks for this reaction. I love love love Adam Lambert. I agree with you about Adam’s version of Believe.
Almost everything about this show was trashed by reviewers…l except Adam Lambert.

My pleasure!

One of his iconic performances.
Adam Lambert can sing ANYTHING! that's it. that's the comment. ❤
His chest belts are very powerful!!!

Get goosies every time I hear this. The show didn't get good reviews overall but Adam was the only one mentioned as a standout.

The only other singer that could even attempt this song is the awesome Dimash Kudabergen.💯🎶
