Yes, I really would want to see a video how you did that with the velocity bottles :)

Superb! I'm a self-proclaimed minimalist, and this checks!

Nice use of space. I've just started a new playthrough with Scoundrel and Neon Street Rat. May have to see what I can do with the Crate.

You should! Those are the traits I picked for this character and I found them to be a great combo

You are awesome and inspiring. Thank you for posting. I had a play through where I lived in there. It was very cozy except for the barrel of fish outside the door.

@@fiftythree30 the decaying fish just outside would definitely knock a few stars off its rating for sure

I love what you do with small spaces! ... Also, I've got a question for you not related to this video...do you have any recommendations for dealing with the stark contrasts in lighting, particularly in the round hydroponic habs? I always struggle with the lighting in these spaces -- against the walls it can be way too dark, directly under the lights it can be too bright. Sunlight, when the sun is positioned high enough in the sky, can illuminate the space well enough, but that's about the only time. I've tried playing with the portable lights, but the light cast from these is so damn harsh! Any ideas you have would be appreciated. For now I should probably just stay away from using the round hydro habs, but I do love the views they offer! And maybe someday an update will give us better lighting options for outposts. Cheers!

The lighting in those habs is really difficult, and its weird how they are completely glass, yet still somehow so very very dark
One piece of advice I saw from Backgroundmost on Reddit was to take into consideration the direction of the sun, since that effects the way shadows are cast inside. So by angling the furniture in the hab in relation to the direction of the sun, you can somewhat influence the direction the shadows inside will fall, which should help to maybe avoid some of the particularly dark areas
One thing I do with the buildable lights is to use them as an accent to highlight specific features, like say a table setting. I put them at as far away as I can from the area I'm trying to highlight, while still allowing the edge of the cone of light to touch it, ideally from above the surface I'm trying to highlight.
That way you can make use of the most diffused part of the light it casts, while mitigating some of that blown out glare. It always looks super harsh at night when it's dark outside, but it can look more natural during the daytime in ultra dark areas, and during dusk and dawn
You can also use lights outside like the industrial lamp posts to get some light inside the glass habs, though again it takes a bit of finagling to get the light from those to not be all blown out and weird looking too
This has been one of my most active areas for experimentation, because like you I love the views from those glass habs, but lighting in them is one of the biggest struggles with outpost building at the moment
I've been putting off making a video till I was able to come up with a "perfect solution" but should at least do a preliminary guide with what's worked ok for me so far, because something would be better than nothing

@@MissOPlays, thanks for the response...all good ideas. I haven't played with aiming light posts from outside into the hab to take advantage of that light, so I'll definitely try that. And thinking about the shadows cast by the position of the sun is super smart...wish I had thought of that! :)

I tried to put those Velocity in other areas, but they don't shine like they do in Neon.
As for the Sleep Crates, great place just to kip for health, there's a few open for free.
Just watch out for the Disciples lol.

The Disciples have stopped coming after me again which bummed me out, I enjoyed using them to level up my combat skills and collect neat outfits
The velocity bottles are definitely very location specific in terms of their glow tough for sure. The apartment on the Key and Neon seem to be where the shine best. They also look good in this one outpost I'm currently building on Zelazny II but that might be location specific again since the weather at the location is permanently dreary
