I got a tiny rooted YLN cutting last spring and hope to get a few figs off of it this year. What a lovely fig! Honey figs are my jam. 🤤 Can't wait to taste it!
i am curious how it will taste for you in a year or two. our is 2nd year in ground. the taste keeps improving each year. i noticed this november, our yellow long neck fig turns a bit more purple outside and the flavor becomes a bit more complex with a bit of berry/citrus flavor combined with the honey and melon flavor.
I agree. It’s a fantastic fig. I’ve noticed the color changes in cooler temps and there’s also been a wide variation in neck lengths over the last two seasons. Next year will be its third year for us and we’re looking forward to seeing how it performs.

This one took roughly 90 days from fruit set to picking. The first figs set in early May and we were able to eat our first one in early August.
