I never did a damage comparison, but I always do upswing, slam and full burst combo when the monster is down instead of the wrymstake. after the first full burst I do slap, quick reload and slam, then full burst again. I almost never stab. I have over 1900 hours in mhw but did not play gunlance for the first 1700 hours. I wish I played sooner.

Well, I did some maths, and normally, you are going to do like 62 per Shell. There are 6 shells with capacity boost, so its a total of 372 dmg. Count the 50x4 from WSB that its a total of 200, and you have 572. More than 600 if you eat for bombardier. Now with everything, for the combo, do you almost 1200 everytime you do a full burst. And this without the wyvernstake finisher.

depends on the situation, in this case he wants to pseudo flinch loop toaster, so he's doing the stake after burst to fulfill that, otherwise burst and burst is generally better dps, because you can maintain the combo

I play only 800h and i've casually know how to play any weapon, but i enjoyed so much Charge Blade... now i'm enjoying Heavy Bowgun... maybe i need to enjoy some gunlances too :D
