Not just raaga alaapana but also tanam. I am happy....... last bit tanam was beautiul :-) plz ignore the below comment by Abi the musician, who just may come searching videos just for notations and comment whatever they want to.... only those understands who are following you from the beginning what type of inspiration we/they are getting out of your sincere efforts........ Thank you
Respected Madam, I am learning Veena with the help of your videos. Your teaching methods are very nice madam. Thank you very much for sharing knowledge through your valuable videos. Kindly teach about all Veena Strings (material and gauge etc.) & complete Swara Sthanas of all the strings. Please teach how to tune Veena strings, different techniques and methods to play Gamakas on Veena. Thank you very much for teaching about playing our National Instrument (Divine Saraswati Veena) easily and perfectly. Thank you madam.
Namasthe! Hope you are doing well! In the introduction you said that and I quote ”You won’t find tanam in vocal, violin, mandolin or any other instrument” but in vidhwath all Carnatic students are taught tanam. If you mean that the tanam sound so good on a veena then, you are absolutely right. But that doesn’t mean there is no tanam in vocal or violin or mandolin! During a concert, if the vocal artist is going to take ragam tanam pallavi to be the main piece of that concert, then the tanam has to be sung. The syllables used in tanam are very similar to how they come in the Veena; using ‘Anamthathanam’ while singing a tanam. Great Carnatic vocalists like M S Subbulakshmi Dr M Balamuralikrishna too sang tanam in concerts. Here is a TH-cam video of Vishushi Aruna Sairam singing tanam th-cam.com/video/spRQEectgB8/w-d-xo.html
