It’s definitely wrong. Doesn’t matter gender, they’re still children. I wish people were more aware and asked more questions. Maybe that’s her son, maybe not. If it is, no harm done. If it isn’t, you just saved a child.
I’m also willing to bet a lot of people passing by thought he was her son. When it’s a child bride, it’s obvious b/c of the white dress and veil (only the bride wears that attire), but when it’s a child groom, it can be hard to tell since almost all guys will wear a suit to a wedding. There’s nothing differentiating the groom from the other guys. The kid and the woman also have similar hair color. I’m not defending the people who realized it was a wedding shoot and didn’t do anything. I’m just saying this may contribute to a lot of people just walking by. They might’ve thought, “huh, that mom’s doing a wedding shoot with her son, cute, where’s the husband?”
I think this video makes us aware that child grooms are less obvious to spot and it’s easier for them to get taken advantage of due to that fact.

I think the main difference comes in the implications. The little boy is the one who impregnates the adult woman. In society and even biologically, that is MUCH LESS terrible than in the case of a little girl being penetrated by an adult man and becoming pregnant.
That's why people react differently. In one case, the rape (both cases are rape) is much more violent, painful, and even life threatening than in the other. And we as a society know and recognize that.
Likewise, I find it terrible that people CONGRATULATE the child. That's terrible. It's disgusting. I feel that we should treat it with equal repudiation even if in reality it is not the same rape.
