    I've cut my book from Wonder Under and sewn the pages together. Working on first fabric collage. Looking forward to more of your ideas. Thank you for this; so easy to follow.

    If you're not sure how thick the resulting book will be, would you create the pages first then once they are all together, cut the spine and cover to fit and sew it all together last?

    • @DanielaMellen
      @DanielaMellen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that’s a great plan. Sometimes, I get Agra’s it myself and want to start the book, before thinking it through. But, your method is the most accurate way,

    Hello again Daniela, My book has 3"x3" pages and I have made one 3" square collage. I am assuming that it is to be sewn on the first right hand page just opposite to the flap/cover (which will be dealt with later)?

    • @DanielaMellen
      @DanielaMellen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! You can sew it on the first right hand page and then leave the back uncovered. After sewing onto the opposite side of the next page, you will join those two pages together (so that the "back sides" touch). I will add additional videos for the inside cover, the cover, and various page ideas.

    Words fabric book

      A fabric book with the theme words would be very effective! Good idea!

    You have some really good ideas but I think if I’m making a stitch journal I wouldn’t use the fusible webbing. It kind of goes against the idea of a “stitch” journal. For me it would have to be all stitching. Thank your for sharing your ideas.

      Totally understand why some people would keep the fabric book dedicated to stitches, and refrain from using fusible webbing. I like to show options, so if someone wants to use the webbing on some things, they have that option. I don't like stitching through webbing, but do use it at times.
