Thanks a bunch, I did this thing solo and still can't believe how good it worked out. Cheers
At 0:26 he explains a reset process but upon searching the internet I found a more in-depth description as follows;
To activate and unlock the articulating running boards for normal operation, perform the following procedures:
Open all front and rear doors.
Set the parking brake.
Find the running board disable switch located on the center console below the HVAC climate control system.
Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position, with the engine off, and toggle the disable switch three times within 20 seconds to activate the power running boards.
Close all doors.
Open the left front or left rear door and the running board on the left side should articulate out.
Close the left front or left rear door and the running board should articulate in.
Open right front or right rear door and the running board on the right should articulate out.
Close the right front or right rear door and the running board should articulate in.
The articulating running boards will now operate when opening either the front or rear doors on that side of the vehicle. A power retract operation of the running boards will occur with the closing of both doors on that side of the vehicle.
Do this all without turning it out of the run position?
I just recently replaced my motor & bracket & it won't make any noise it's still stuck in the up position
Should I push it 3 times or 6 times because it would be off then on off then on off then on correct? Or wrong I appreciate it
Does this work for the 4th gen (2015-2020) Yukon/Yukon XL?
Are those universal or do they come for a specific model of car to ensure equal dimension to the second hinch arm
Do you know how to fix the wedge of the motor of the running board
If you have a video about this I appreciate you favour
Thank you it was very helpful. I learned a lot.
How can u 're set the system on a 2011 navigator? Can we buy that same motor assembly for it as well?
Great video but title should state you are changing the motor and pivot assembly- not the motor
old bracket come with grease ports? That's nice!
Did you add those zerk points to your bracket or is that factory?
iIjust completed mine yesterday in under an hour.
Can’t take the motor off the bracket, even though all the bolts are out. Could it be seized up?
Awesome, thanks.
Nice job. Would you say you can do this without removing the running boards from the vehicle?
That was my question, did you try to do it without removing them?
Good question
So what if they just sold me the motor at the dealership without the hinge? Having a hard time.
What if I can’t put my running bored to the open position?
Can u tell part number for 2017 Escalade
I believe that this should be it: 22778156
What do I do if it’s stuck up and sound like a two cats getting it on
That's what mine doing
@@jonbadboy112 any fix yet for you?

@@jakesteele7962 cool!
Aaaaaad those Allen key bolts that the motor and metal frame are attached to are now stripped…… now what
Same thing here
@@abuali5312 I ended up tearing the heads off with a dremel tool & going to advanced auto, replaced them with some HEX HEAD bolts. Did the trick
Propah
I want to put some anti-seize on those bolts and I would’ve cleaned out all that dirt behind the bracket when you put it back on but that’s just me
