If you use the 2-tier hab, stand on the ladder, and aim to the left of it, then you can rather quickly stack things. Then grab the bottom item and move it where you want. The only issue I have is when the bots / NPCs try to move me while I'm stacking.
That box alignment is so stupid simple and I'm mad for not realizing it. >.
That's some good info on the container snapping.
Thank you, not so silent wolf ...
Do you get the problem where to use the workshop you must quicksave and then load the game again. seem to have hat problem once the outpost gets too a certain size
Just curious: do you have a 'system' to sort the resources, or did you do it all manually?
The only sorting that happens is solids, liquids and gases, by connecting those types of containers. I kept my outpost provided resources separate from stuff that I would bring back on my ship. The alphabetical storage I did for the main ores, unfortunately is done manually, but isn't to hard to do. Every once and awhile, I just load myself up with all the random resources and then just sort by name and walk along the containers dumping them into them and since they are alphabetical containers and resources sorted by name, its pretty quick. It saves a lot of time if I need to find certain things, I don't have to check all containers. Starfield's Outposts do leave a lot to be desired unfortunately. I was just making the best out of what I could.
How do you sort items to the different storage units?

But... how do you link them together?
By going into the modify mode and doing the "connect" (i think) or "wire" option for wiring
9:42 I don't get the decisions they've been making with the game. They couldn't have the same slider but with degree unit? Like the smallest value would be 1° so each input would rotate by 1° and there you can place furnitures precisely. An old and dead MMO, Star Wars Galaxies, was doing this 2 decades ago... so how is it possible for a 2023 game to be so far behind?!
Finally found someone more ocd then I am in these games.
