Eivor has been my favorite singer for some time now -- She has a lot of original music and sings in many other languages -- She is from the Faeroe Islands but lives in Denmark I believe -- I can tell you would enjoy hearing more from her --- my next suggestion is her doing Gullspunnen --- It means Spun in Gold -- she sings from her soul to yours so you dont have to understand all the lyrics --- She is magical
Eivør is the best female folk singer in Scandinavia & probably Europe, Myrkur is another one to listen too & Kalandra is great too.
Wow what a voice , she has got range , power and distinction in her vocals . Never heard this but it's definitely left a mark. The song was repetitive, but in a beautiful way , The tune was mesmerising . Great reaction as always Mia , really enjoyed your afterthoughts on this one!

This song seems to conform to and describe that thread, from the Valkyrie's point of view; she's searching for 'her' hero.
I believe the "O" with the line through it in her first name is pronounced like a soft E in her home language of Faroese.

Eivor writes her own music. During the pandemic I was already a fan- I witnessed her doing free live performances online from her home, with her family. Her husband is also a musician (and her sister). I actually saw her live over a year ago- it was even better than this. I was breathless the whole concert. Her voice just envelops you and takes you on a journey. I love her Faroese songs -may I suggest i Tokuni or Silvitni, Gullspunnin is great as well. If you want to hear a great Norweigian male voice, try Asgeir- he performs a song with Eivor.
We are used to think well rounded sounds are good, but when you listen to the open throat, opening your heart, you can split rocks!
Hi there ! I came across this reaction video a couple of days ago and loved it so much that I instantly decided to subscribe. You should definitely react to more from Eivor, she has such a big variety of songs and different musical genres. Next one from Eivor should definitely be "Trodlabundin (Trollabundin) 10.08.13" ! This song is sung in her native language Faroese, but the text is rather secondary here. This is COMPLETELY different from what you have heard here, but surely as stunning and fascinating... acoustically AND visually ! Believe me, you never heard anything like this before ! In this song, you will get an idea of what she is able to do with her voice... and you can be sure it is fascinating, although a bit "strange" in some passages, you might think. But please react to this special song, you will definitely not regret and will love Eivor Palsdottir (her full name) even more.
