I'm nearly 50 years old, and my first home video game memory is the Atari 2600 my dad bought for the family just before the North American video game crash. Luckily, I was born in the UK, so the effects of that weren't felt, and the knowledge of it came years later. The next videogame related product my dad bought was a Commodore 64, in 1983 {I think}, and games for the system were constant. Hell, this was a time when Activision was still deemed trustworthy. I received a copy of Ghostbusters for the Commodore 64 on Christmas Day 1984, and to this day, I still load that game up a few times a year, via emulation, not only because it's such a good game for the time, but the nostalgia it provides of a far simpler time. A time I wish we could go back to,

WHAT the actual fugg is an "internet?!! Seriously what are you talking about?!!...." "Sir we should just let him have this. It needs a name anyway and according to him by the time anyone discovers the joke the company will prob be long dead." "U G H..... FINE..."
Home PONG swept the nation back then. It was just more fun to play in an arcade. The energy is higher than sitting on a couch.
