Unless their goal ISN'T to try to get a date, they're ruining it by allowing the rest of the people to watch and hear these interactions because everyone is going into it already knowing how much these people suck so it just becomes a competition for who can reject the most people
So as an Aussie myself. Whether Australian people flirting or not, they are so incredibly blunt they have no subtly. The flirting might just straight up be sexual harassment or bullying.
This is not at all about dating. It is all about boys versus girls and who hits the button first. It is obvious the the "daters" are no listening to each other; just waiting for the lights to change. Although, in the girl's defense, the guys, for the most part, were tools. Surprise ending, though; I thought that one could have worked. I love your fickle approach.

They should have a rule that if the button moves from its spot while pressing it, the press is disqualified. Or, like, command strip that shit to the table.
My experience with Australian people in the states is that they are really confrontational / agro. I dated an Australian guy when I lived in San Francisco, he was there for a week, and our first interaction was him being mad at me because he couldn’t find me and was getting our bus routes confused. He came in super hot like “thanks for the fucking help” and basically just bullied me the whole week. But it was different than being with an abusive/hostile man, like he was genuinely sweet and normal but it was a demeanor just way diff than what I’m used to in the states

Something about the Australian button is especially painful to watch. There was 0 chemistry with any of them and no one knows how to flirt. And the production team makes it 1000 times more awkward. Thank you for sitting through this, Cody 😂😂
It's the live crowd dinosaur noises for me 😭
It's not that they don't know how to flirt, it's that they get matched up with people they're not attracted to. No motivation for flirting. Also, they're nervous because there's a crowd judging them.
Australian here, I don’t think anyone has tried to actually “flirt” or “court” me, just tryna hit or speak about the colour of the sky… it’s rough out here. 😮💨
@@Sisterlisk you could say the same about the original Button, but at least some of those people actually knew how to flirt. I hate to say it, but the original is pleasant in comparison to the Australian version.
Cody's attempt at an aussie accent and it souding kiwi every time killed me
Ahahahahhh, fellow Aussie here, totally agree :)
The guy in the black dag truly believes he’s way more attractive and interesting than he really is. It seems like he’s waiting for a better option to come along but realistically all of these girls were out of his league, physically emotionally and mentally.
Speaking as an Australian woman, yes, it's really this bad over here
So this is representative??? 😮
As a representative of the United States I'd have to agree from what I've seen, these chaps got to step up their game.
Shit I'm sorry girl :-/
I wish you luck girl 🙏 ❤
These dudes are dry as HELLLL
as a viet person, the amount of time i've heard "vietmanese" is more than i can count. tho i am impressed he guessed correctly, because it's never the first guess. that was really tough to watch, they were mean af to her.
i wouldn’t of guessed Vietnamese tbh she looked korean to me
yo that black dude was weird as hell
@@LP620she looks vietnamese wym 😭
@@postbloom9767seriously what’s wrong with him. “I expect nice nice nails” “what I’m not a gentleman” then proceeded to smack the hell out of the button
yes! its one of my biggest pet peeves. you dont call it viet-man, where does the switch happen?
This was the hardest video to get through. My god. Just empty conversation waiting for the room to turn red, then race to press the button in the most violent way possiple. On top of that, the two contestants having to scream at each other because the production team and spectators were being so loud. These dudes watched an episode of the button and were like "oh we could easily make this ourselves." I hate this so much lol.
I was saying "ew" the whole time the 3rd guy was talking to the Asian woman. His words had zero respect for her as a human being. It was super uncomfortable to watch. That channel production should seriously moderate the sexual harassment.
God these people are crazy!!!! They're not trying to get dates, they're seeing how many people they can reject
As an Australian woman, can confirm dating men here really is the pits.
switched to girls bc of this tbh
Bro I don’t even date men yet they still find a way to make my life miserable 😖
@@partypoison5135 How can I apply for a transfer? The men in my town are awful
Both genders were pretty awful in this video
This makes me sad :( I'm an Aussie gal as well but I'm 37 and in a long-term relationship and can honestly say I've not come across drongos like this before. If this is the dating scene now then I'll become a committed full-time cat lady if ever I wind up single again (which I really hope I don't!)
Cody's face always fully encapsulates how I feel. "Can you handle what's down here?" Where do they find these clowns?
They don't have to look to far to find them lol
i dont understand why they love that model dude so much??? he's so dry and boring, brings nothing to conversation unless he gets to talk about himself. he exists and they all go "AWWWWWWWW WOOOOOOOW OMGGGG" every time, i don't get it LMAO
He is hot and the ppl they put him in vids with prob dont know (or can’t remember) if/where they had seen him from so they dont know he is boring. I guess that’s the plan with using him, that the entertainment is watching people be interested at first because of his looks and then watch it all go south when he opens his mouth lmao
imo he's creepy looking 😂 I know I'm in the minority though
The first guy was cuter than him lol
@@carolinatorres7575I’m right there with you for sure
@@carolinatorres7575yea, I'm trying to figure out what makes him attractive. I mean, his personality definitely makes him ugly but still
“I’m getting soft” casually as a expression of boredom or displeasure would be crazy in daily conversation.
As an australian, Cody yapping away in a New Zealand accent while also being extremely proud of it was the funniest part of this video
patrick makes me feel so unwell
edit: bun that, michael makes me feel even more unwell
another edit: the whole of australia makes me feel unwell
At least the water bills are cheap
100% 😂😂😂
Patrick has American Psycho vibes
My exact reaction throughout the video
The upside is when you're unwell here, you get free healthcare at an incredibly high standard of care.

Cody is literally the only TH-camr that makes me laugh out loud. Like, a proper belly laugh...and the laugh where nothing comes out. - All the laughs.
I'd also suggest videogamedunkey (I'm very new to Cody myself, and he certainly is very funny!)
And it’s always the dad jokes the ones he laughs at or says “good joke man that was a funny one” type shit and it gets me everytime🤣 he gets me full on laughing a lot and it’s always something subtle or silly or zade’s editing gets me a lot too when he’s “making fun” of Kody 🤣🤣 I think it’s because he’s so genuine and not trying too hard and you can also tell there’s a real friendship&respect between him and his editor too which I really like that about him, there’s plenty of reactor TH-camrs but he and his team are unique af and you can feel the genuineness through the screen🤣
I almost choked on my food I was laughing so hard 🤣🤣🤣
Sixteenleo is another one that gets belly laughs out of me. And then he says something so insightful that it triggers my existential dread. 🤣😭
Cody Ko, Bobby Lee podcasts (bad friends and tiger belly) and H3 podcast
The guy with the durag cosplaying an American with the accent in literal Australia?!?!? 💀💀💀💀
They’re not even trying to get a date they’re just trying to get the other person out so they can get cheers from the audience
perfect timing as always cody, just started eating
Every time
WE DONT FUCKING CAAAAAAARE, always commenting this in every video ffs
Perfect timing I just sat down on the toilet
Same
This comment is so annoying. WHO care
Idk why but the fact they only ended the vid because the button died is hilarious to me
They straight smacked it too hard and broke it 😆
Christ, does no one at quasar central know how to produce anything properly? Cut and Jubilee are incredibly professional compared to this bull lmao
They’re new at it lol chill
Haven’t they been at this cut-esque content for a year now lol? Just want them to up their game
@@bharatnair15I was gonna apply for the button australia but when I saw how terrible the production quality was I decided against it. it's legit just a bunch of instagram comedians and shit running it. its so wack
Even instead of turning the button red it looks like they have a red spotlight they shine on the people lol
It's like when you go to the dollar store and see "cinnamon breakfast squares" instead of "cinnamon toast crunch"
They could at least hire one media/film grad to fix things. If I was there I'd make so many small/affordable changes that could increase the production value so much. Even just little things like putting a bluetooth speaker in the box then taping/gluing it down and using a small red LED light could help so much. Also, the other participants should be kept in a separate area where they can't watch/hear the date.
“Im getting soft” had me laughing out loud at my desk at work. I almost got in trouble lmao
This became bizarre and retaliatory so fast.
No wonder Australia has a high immigration rate with such weak game.
😭😭😭
I know that ruins the joke but can u please explain this joke to me
@@deez9966I think they’re trying to say that everyone leaves Australia and moves to other countries because the dating is pretty awkward as seen on this video
@@Taku1Tqkus2only move to Australia if you're married lol
@@Taku1Tqkus2 that would be emigration
My read of the girl saying "so start the conversation" and "you wanna guess my turn off" was that she was frustrated coz the guy wasn't asking returning questions of his dates & not holding his half of a conversation. As someone who has gone on dates where I wasn't asked a single question, FELT.
Cody yelling "I'm getting soft" like he wants to speak to the manager after he just saw a truck driver physicist getting his dreams of going to outer space laught at is literally the funniest thing, I love this
Being an Aussie and having Cody see how messed aussies date is refreshing cause it gives me hope that people can see this ain’t it 😂
Cody I just gotta comment and say thank you for taking your time to provide all this amazing content for us. Breakfast, lunch, dinner… you name it. Just from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Sounds fucking dogshit
Then that’s not flirting. If both parties are joking around lightly that’s fair but i wouldn’t consider that bullying. Sexual harassment though???
as an australian, cody’s aussie accent isn’t bad at all for an american
He’s Canadian
This is not at all about dating. It is all about boys versus girls and who hits the button first. It is obvious the the "daters" are no listening to each other; just waiting for the lights to change. Although, in the girl's defense, the guys, for the most part, were tools. Surprise ending, though; I thought that one could have worked. I love your fickle approach.
CODY HITTING ZADE WITH HIS HAT HAD ME CRYINGG
I appreciate that zade keeps editing the way we love. When Cody walks away and he makes him little it KILLS ME 😂😂😂
I’m glad I’m not the only one absolutely overstimulated by these videos. I couldn’t stand to watch their content without Cody’s pauses and antics spread throughout.
The black guy with the jacket was so cringe I had to pause the video
Same
That crowd noise is overwhelming
The shushing after every uproar really brings out the middle school classroom vibe
But it was different than being with an abusive/hostile man, like he was genuinely sweet and normal but it was a demeanor just way diff than what I’m used to in the states
i hate that this is a thing down here. i’m a 23 year old single aussie girl and the men down here are the worst. dating is an absolute hellscape
@@gabriellabermanAre these videos actually an accurate representation? Because they make Australia seem truly rizzless
If that's not hostile to you then wtf 😭😭 I would have been crying so hard, especially the fact Ive had to deal with that bullshit with my ex 💀

I’m so sorry genuinely why how I feel about everything is based on personal experience I know can you say that again I know deep down always meant something

I agree with Cody!! We need to see the button with people who are in their early 30s & actually trying to start a relationship.
That had me tearing up I was laughing so hard. Also when you’re laughing out loud by yourself it’s super great when the video ends and you start to think, “wow wonder if anyone heard that…” I might need to find friends..
not even 1 minute into the video and we are blessed with tiny cody. instantly liked the video
Man, that button smash at 11:00 was nuts. And the way he pronounced Vietnamese? wow
In America at least they try and flirt (play the game) in Australia they have the blandest conversations and are like in some weird competition to see who can hit the button first.. lol I have never seen the button fly off the table so many times
21:26 was heartwarming. These Cody episodes of the Australian button have been so cringe to get through, seeing some of the grossest Aussie kids be horrible to each other and Cody butcher our accent within an inch of it's life. It's nice to hear you do still love us
Never stop making Cody so small, it’s my favorite
No wonder why Britain sent all these people way tf over there to live in total isolation on a fkn desert island. Thanks internet. 🤦🏻♂️
That dead fish handshake at 10:14 elicited a rage in me I didn't know was possible.

I cannot for the life of me bear the cringe that Cody forces himself through, truly built different
With the amount that you've been posting- you're officially my comfort channel. Love you Cody. Appreciate all the hard work you do :)
this is like a cursed version of the button. there's no attempts at genuine connection it's just treated like a game and nothing else. with a production that's running on a hamster wheel. the vibes are suffering
The cut already is awkward but the australian version is even funnier esp with the production 😭😭
16:02 So very Australian to say “have a great day alright” after launching the button across the studio stage. We’re nothing if not brutal and polite
Black durag is going through an identity crisis. He’s playing a characters 😭😭

That dude was wild. Straight punching the button.
the “hA hAaaa” at 12:36 🤣 the details don’t got unnoticed
