that was the hometown of ara.. wow... grabe, at di ko din naka limutan pinag daanan ko para lang maka panood ng live na ms. universe, kelangan pa talaga akong mag post sa facebook tas pumunta ng ibang syudad at mag travel ng halos isang oras at kalahati, tas pag dating ko doon sa bahay ng kaibigan ko, di talaga kami natulog.. at kada pag pili sa pilipinas ay naghihiyawan kami, kahit 2am na noon wala kaming paki alam dahil gising lahat ng kapitbahay ng kaibigan ko.. atas pauwi na sana ako ng 4am wala pang sasakyan, nag abang ako hanggang 6am, walang tulog.. but its a nice experience :)

When I watched this pageant with my family, it was raining that time after the devastating winds of Haiyan in which we were so thankful on that time because the supertyphoon didn't hit our place, but only slight damages were made. Electricity was running fine so we had time to watch it. Right on the news the Haiyan coverage featured the Miss Universe 2013 pageant, where we are all proud of Ariella representing the country no matter what disaster comes from us.
De las 16 finalistas del Miss universo 2013, más de la mitad son latinas. Incluyendo Filipinas, que tiene sangre y herencia latina hispana y hasta la representante de Canadá tiene apellido de origen latino. Definitivamente nos estamos destacando culturalmente, dando de qué hablar en todos los sentidos, incluso en la belleza mundial. Philippines has been a franchise of the pageant for around/over 50 years. Rating is not necessary but I'd rather say..the enthusiasm that they get from Filipinos all over the world is overwhelming, as so are the rest of other countries! I bet you or any other latin viewers from latin countries somehow contribute as well to the increase of the viewers' ratings that keeps this show even running for decades after decades!! Thanks to YOU and the rest!!
