I bet this guy was a costumer that did costumes for plays and fun stuff like that. If your at all interested you could find out by contacting the ppl who do that in Portland. That would explain the small serger and sewing machine. Which most costumers carry those around to sew costume on the sets. Just thought youd like to know what i thought about it. Oh and by the way keep up the good work...both u and your, wife and mom are very down to earth and honest. I love it. Im probably older than your mother but i can relate to her. Love it when your mom is there. She makes it so much fun and does a great job with the camera. It was fun trying to figure out the person who owned the unit.
At 38:38, Gramma Venture said "that's something for something" about the base with rods. That is actually a thread cone holder for quilters. Instead of just a small bobbin on the machine, thread from a cone can be fed from that rod set-up. I know cause my wife used those when she is making her raggy jean quilts.
Mom, I do enjoy your comments, and it is good to hear that you enjoy reading real books, good on you! Kudos to the person editing the videos, embedding the occasional comic book character and sounds - very clever!
This guy was a great costumer. Good attention to detail with his accessories. If you can’t sell the costumes, wigs etc. you might see if a drama club at a high school might want them.
Reason why I like you, you're respectful of other people's possessions even if they don't own them anymore. - Looks like the owner was into cos-play and gaming. There is a difference between a mug and a stein. Coyote skull. The guy invested in memorabilia. ... DUDE, a tattooing set. . Army of Evil statue @ 41:20 - Great show.
I LOVE that you have your Mom involved. I have 4 sons (grown with kids) and I am not involved :-( The whole once they marry Mom is OUT of the picture!! Wade's Mom Congrats!!
The Jay Turser electric guitar (looks like a base guitar since I only see 4 pegs) ranges from 90 -300 dollars depending on what model and condition it's in. Nice find. They might not have done cosplay, but some of those clothes I saw earlier could have been from reenactments. They do look like period style clothes
The weighted thing with metal stick (following portable sewing machine) is a thread holder for sewing machines for when the roll of thread is too big. Mine was about $15...
Don't dismiss the Lane Cedar Chest promotional box. Sold with a Furniture's store name (about 60's/70's). An original key is worth probably more than the box. About $15 plus shipping depending on state location of box.
This was a GREAT unit!!! All the collectibles!!! Happy for you.. can’t wait to see the next video with more on this unit!! Lol ((jewelry box and safe))
I bet the dude did renaissance fairs. The "holster" you found is a sword frog, and you found lots of costume making materials. He would've used those high heeled black boots as part of his costume.
Grandma Venture’s cracks me up, and what she said about that tool which I don’t even know what it was sounded a lot like my younger son who says things like “that doohickey goes with that duniflacher! Lol
My son,who is a computer programmer and a tech geek figures your Mac Plus with all the goodies is probably worth 1000 to 1500 bucks, but that's up here in Canada,so maybe 800 to 1100 in Oregon. Still an awesome score thought...Good luck with the rest.
All you need is a large sledge hammer to strike the center opening edges of the safe door, followed by using a pry bar to help pry open the door once it’s bent in enough to clear the locking pins. You can usually break one open in about 5-10 minutes but try not to breath in the concrete and fire retardant material that will be flying everywhere, so a mask would be suggested!
It is not an accordeon, it is a bandoneon (widely used in Argentina in tango music). The bandoneon is a type of concertina particularly popular in Argentina and Uruguay. It is an essential instrument in most tango ensembles from the traditional orquesta típica of the 1910s onwards. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandoneon www.argentina-tango.com/bandoneon.htm What you found is an English concertina, though: The English concertina and the Duet concertina bear similarities in history and construction. Both systems generally play a chromatic scale and are unisonoric, with each key producing the same note whether the bellows are being pushed or pulled. Both of these English instruments are smaller than German concertinas, and are usually *hexagonal* in shape, though occasionally featuring 8, 10, or 12 sides. The English system alternates the notes of the scale between two hands, enabling rapid melodies. The duet system features the lower notes on the left, and higher notes on the right, facilitating the playing of interlaced harmonies and melodies. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concertina#English_and_Duet_concertina

Good luck with the mac. I've sold 2 in the last year, one local and one on ebay. I'd say try local first. Shipping isn't exactly a breeze with them. They are cool though. Also head over to save my mac online or something like it and you might be able to pick up a boot disc for it. That will increase the value.
The Santana Canada boots can go for up to $150.00 those are from the "Carlos Santana" (the guitar guy) collection... and the metal thing you asked for is to put your thread to sew...

That big dark red rug, good condition? Gotpicz? How much you want for it? Also how much for the serger if you still have it?
He's into Medieval/Renaissance period... I recognize the boots from this time. Plus, he sure took good care of his stuff! Nice finds.

Wow so excited to watch this on my rest day 😆😆 thank for the early upload
get some Rest Hyacinth!
😁 at 38:47 that's a cone thread stand
The two drums are Native American hand drums. They sell for about $50-$100 a piece
It was a beautiful, easily fixed peacock feather fan..
May Sir God bless you though the holidays and always!

Bellows for the fireplace, to revive a fire. Antique ones can be quite valuable if they are not broken.
it's in great shape!

Monday Diane! ;)

First item that you picked up was a tapestry that hangs over table
oo ok had no idea!
A lot of the things look like they could have been used as props for a theater.
The stand at about 39 minutes is to put a large spool of thread on. It is a thread stand. They go for about $10. That looks like a good one,
thanks for the info/tips Denman!
