    I have a 2001 F150 5.4 4x4 extended cab, it has what I assume is a factory leveling kit or a small lift. It has 229,000 miles with the original engine and transmission as far as I know. I've changed all the fluids on it but other than that I agree with scotty, as long as it runs good enough it doesn't need to be perfect. Only paid $2,500 for it last year and isn't my daily driver. His must not have mufflers cause that's exactly how mine sounds true dual exhaust with no mufflers.
    I'm also gonna go ahead and replace that sensor on my truck after seeing this lmao, i feel mine could have a smoother idle and that's an easy part swap. Thanks Scotty.

    Scotty. I need your help as I think my mechanic lied to my face about my repairs.
    I'm getting p0012 and p0022 with p0304 on my vvt 3.0l V6 duratec engine. The car is beautiful and no leaks anywhere. I think the codes are from the wrong oil being put in the car and being low on oil. Did proper oil change. Car has 100k miles. I am getting bad mpgs. 10mpg. I think I just need a tune up and maybe a catalytic converter. I changed the spark in cylinder 4 and it was bad. Gapped to .75 when it should be .49-.53. Engine sounds good but car hesitates when accelerating, smell fuel from exhaust and bad mpgs, but no more trouble codes popping. Mechanic said my timing belt was destroyed and my head is blown and I laughed as I drove my car home from their shop. No billowing white smoke and a quiet engine on the ride home with my "busted timing chain". Also during oil change the oil had no shavings in it or anything. Just dirty oil from going 6 months without an oil change. Fully synthetic

  • @jeffco908
    @jeffco908 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Thinking your logic has a fatal flaw here. You say a fuel pump will not cause a lean condition on one bank, i 100% agree with that. Then you say the TPS sensor caused it to be lean on 1 bank? The throttle plate does not determine which bank gets more air. When i see that data looks more like as the engine is warming up the vacuum leak(possibly intake gasket) or exhaust leak on bank 1 is sealing up with the heat. I see bank 1 short term trim slightly negative which is in turn correcting the long term trim and the bank 2 trim doing what would be expected, near 0%. Really should do a cold start and monitor o2 sensor data while it warms up. O2 sensor data is much more responsive than watching fuel trim levels. While the TPS may have brought the fuel trims to a level where they wont set a code for now its still not right to have that much difference bank to bank. Diagnosis is incomplete unless the customer is educated on the findings and is happy with it. IDK....

    Hey Scotty I'm a big fan of your Channel.
    I'm from India I have a Chevy Cruze
    I purchased it a month before GM left India in 2017 without any prior announcement.
    Asides from being a Diesel Rocket that is still the most powerful C2 Segment sedan in India here's nothing good about this endless money pit.
    Resale Value is 0
    What should I do
    Should I be excited for Ford coming back to India in 2024.
    Ford created the Compact 4M SUV trend in India its currently the most popular and best selling segment in India.
    Pls do Wacky Wednesday 😊
    Thanks❤
