    Yall, watching her in active addiction on mob wives is the reason I am afraid of pills to this day and make sure not to ever take meds I don't need. I was falling into all kinds of addictions because of abuse, and she was a cautionary tale for me. I'm sure she saved my life because I was spiraling. Thank you for your courage and transparency!

    Michael's words echo volume in terms of questioning the reason (s) people use drugs. My elderly uncle is 77 years old. He is a drug addict. His eldest daughter died followed by the death of his wife, and then the death of his youngest daughter. He suffered three losses which resulted in the end of his family life. People don't understand what led to his drug abuse. Since 2015, I've been explaining to our family members and others that the loss of his entire family changed the trajectory of his life into drugs. It's been distressing and sad.

    This woman has been on this journey for several years, and whilst it's commendable that she tries to help herself, she then quickly falls back into the same drug addiction cycle.
    She's always very articulate about her woes and she'd be more successful at staying on the wagon if only she'll take it seriously and stay committed, and fight the urge.
    That said, I'm not in her shoes so I can't truly understand what she's dealing with. But for her own sake and that of her son and grandkids, I pray that this time, the only way is up. 🙌🙏

    Opiates are literally so addicting. They take all your pain away physically and mentally. God bless anyone dealing with that. Coke is more of a party drug that people do at weekends and parties but opiates will ruin your life quick!

    • @emilyg1954
      @emilyg1954 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They do have a purpose for physical pain. People are on them for serious conditions that cause them severe pain. Most times it doesnt take away all the pain it just takes the edge off so you can do things like a normal person. Dependence is way different than addiction. Just saying.

    04:21 Yes and No. Every addict does feel that emptiness. They're missing love in that they are likely not receiving consistent affection, attention, patience, being listened to w/o judgement, etc.. I'm sure although many addicts are loved, they do not feel that love and more often than not it's because it's simply not shown. Actions speak louder than words - but you all already know that 😊 Stay strong everyone and never forget Big Ang 👄❤

    My blood family is a nightmare like I can't. They're needy when things get bad for them which hurts me and is probably going to give me cancer worrying about them but then they turn around and do everything for other people, complete and total strangers get all of their time, affection, money, who cares what happens to me right? And then oopsie we're not going to use birth control because apparently dad's genetics are so awesome (they're NOT omg he's hideous). Trauma dumping for my mental health. My dad was such a disgusting asshole I didn't even get to have my birthday on my birthday...like why are you spoiling some teenager you're not related to? Why are you acting like you're in some mob when you're an absolute coward. If you just accepted being a coward and opened up about it instead of playing mr.tough guy you'd be A LOT happier right now.

    No, i’m more than sure your family backed you up with love and help but you pushed away Renee. Always happens. Had a friend constantly slamming despite me and another friend constantly helping, paying his rent, he was the first to be on a trial of iv med to see if it would help but needed meth in his system (which he had). But nope, he still constantly did it. Messaged his best friend and she told me that it’s up to them to see when to stop so she cut contact with him and so did I. It gets tiring, really does.

    Honestly, not passing judgment, but just making a statement. The education is out there about what drugs will do to you. There’s a lot of information, but yet people willingly do drugs. Then when they become addicted, it becomes a social problem. Government resources are used to help them when they made the choice to go forth and get involved with drugs. Just a different matter but the same time for instance, just like people know how babies are made yet they go forth and have unprotected sex get pregnant or have disease or whatever and then crack at paternity court or Maury show or some other show about the daddy of the baby.

    • @leej-wp9ft
      @leej-wp9ft 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your statement is judgemental which you know as you started with saying you're not doing the thing you're doing. Until society UNDERSTANDS addiction and puts in place methods needed then yes society and resources will suffer. Addiction is not different than cancer it is a disease.

    Rooting 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 for you Renee! It’s heartbreaking 💔 how ppl can be so quick to judge someone’s choices instead of figuring out why they move how they move !! When she said I talk to the man upstairs I felt that . As a Childhood Sexual Abuse / Physical Abuse Survivor I can totally relate to Renee. God/ Therapy has definitely saved my life… Idk where I’d be without him. We can’t HEAL what we don’t REVEAL… Healing ❤️‍🩹 isn’t linear & YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!! Nobody has room to judge anyone because God has definitely shown us grace whenever we’ve missed the mark. I used sex/ alcohol to cope with my past trauma & one day I looked at myself in the mirror and said I can’t do this anymore.
