Also, in another vid of yours you used a drill bit thing that had metal glued to it to speed up the grinding process. What are those metal things called?
@ManfiCat someone brought to my attention that the cheep motors I was using do not have ground wires and are dangerous around water. I don’t want anyone to get hurt so I took it down. Honestly, if you use the same design but use motors with grounded wires and water resistant protection, it would be safe.
@@leandrodellarocha3204 the only problem I foresee is trying to keep the stone in the pocket while it is in it’s first grind stage. After it is rounded out, go as fast as is safe.
These are great! I watched your build videos too. I will definitely be building something similar soon. Question, how long does it take from start to finish to make a polished orb?
It depends on the hardness of the stone and how well the stone is prepared. Sand stone can be done in a few hours and basalt can be done in a day or two. The harder the stone the longer the grind. The polishing part is fast. The grind takes all the time.
I'm looking to build something like this and am trying to figure out motor specification. Would you be up for sharing any identifying details of the mirrors and gearboxes? It looks like the grinding heads are moving at about 120 rpm. I'm basically reverse engineering from that right now. Any additional details would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for the detailed description of this sphere machine. Amazingly simple and unique!
You are welcome. Have a great day.
1:55. Four of WHAT on? What is that thing?
Superb from India
Отличная идея ! я впечатлён ! жаль что так мало лайков и просмотров. Удачи вам и успехов
Я согласен. Спасибо за ваш комментарий. Хорошего дня.

Hello, i was following your videos on makin a sphere machine, but now you have made them unavailable? Why's that?

@ManfiCat they were the bits from a polishing wheel for an angle grinder.
@ ooh, those are the motors I was going to buy! Good thing you did take down the video then!
Is there a problem if using a slightly faster rotation? Car power window motor?

Can you post instructions of how to build one and the model of the motor.
I don't know the model number of the motors other than what is already in the video. Sorry.

In later videos, I show how to build one. Check out my most recent videos
Why didn't you say where you got the abrasive pads?
I got the pads off Amazon.com
I got them on Amazon.com
Good
I want to purchase it how to purchase it
I am thinking about selling some of these if there is enough interest
