pvs, vgs, lvs commands, the "s" does not stand for scan. The "s" stands for "summary", providing you with information that the system has already stored. It could become confusing because none of these commands scan, scrub, or iterate through the lvm when used.

How to dual boot kali with ubuntu using lvm?
Do i have to create another volume group to install the ubuntu or just create a new 'root' logical volume in the same volume group as the kali?
