Super Smash Bros. 4 (also referred to by shorthands such as Smash 4, SSB4, or more informally Sm4sh, and officially as Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U) is a term used to collectively refer to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, two games in the Super Smash Bros. series created by Bandai Namco[3] and Sora Ltd. However, in an interview with Kotaku, Masahiro Sakurai has stated he considers the 3DS version the fourth installment and the Wii U version the fifth installment. The games feature mostly identical gameplay, but with several differences in other areas. The 3DS version is the first game of the series to be released on a handheld.

That Boss Galaga one is not a glitch, its just collision, since the Beetle item gets stuck like that too. An actual Boss Galaga glitch you can do though, is have it grab someone, and while its lifting them offscreen, grab the timer item so it slows them down. When they respawn, all their effects will be slowed down despite them moving at normal speed.

The 3DS version glitch, very minor, understandable if you don't want to showcase it:
Training mode on 3DS, use Metaknight. Use his final smash on anyone and exit training mode when the screen is completely black. When you get back to the character select screen, it will slowly fade from black instead of quickly switching to the select screen. The timing changes the fade, too. Hope this helps.

I found a glitch involving Luigi's dash attack (or any other multi-hits you can get the timing right) hit the smash ball with it and just before Luigi gets the smash ball press restart and it crashes the game
8 player controller glitch
Basically you grab a controller (I use a wiimote) connect to the game, press on the player 1 then press cpu 1,disconnect the controller, scan an amiibo, re-connect the controller and repeat until you have the desired number of players then go into the rules menu and back out and then you should be controlling all of the hands then, change all of the amiibos to characters and you're good!

Another Glitch can be performed if you use an attack that changes where the characters eyes move (ex: jigglypuffs b-air) then us a final smash and the character will have their eyes in that position. It works best on Jigglypuff.
I remember that Yoshi jump glitch! That was so much fun during the smash runs jump competition. I remember finding it, and I had so much fun with it.
Go on yoshis island as sonic, there are three blocks in the center above a hole, hit the one on the left, if you walk off into the wall while the block is spinning you will go inside the wall and fall through

I have one for 3DS.
If you choose Rosalina & Luma for Mute City (Normal), you can make Rosalina touch the ground and not recieve damage.
You have to go on the track and before you touch it, use Rosalina's charge.

I hit Marth's UpB with Mario's cape just before he grabbed the ledge and he grabbed it the other way around (just like ZSS in the platform below temple, but he did get up from that ledge).

I heard there's a glitch on the 3DS version where Rosalina is on the road in Mute City, the glitch hasn't been patched yet but you can still do the glitch if you have the 3D version.
How to perform: Play as Rosalina on the Mute City stage, go down the road and before you touch the ground quickly use Rosalina's Neural B and she'll stay on the road.

I remember one time i did an 8-player smash against CPUs on the Temple stage, and for some reason Pit was standing in mid-air looking really depressed. I haven't bothered to recreate it but I believe I posted it to miiverse in case you're curious enough to go through months and months of posts to find it. It was super funny.
One that got patched out pretty quickly is that you could get Yoshi to grow so big that he would die if he even moved.
On the 3ds version, if you did the mode where you go against a bunch of mii fighters as Yoshi and got to the end where a Yoshi shows up, then put him in an egg, he would permanently grow. This worked indefinitely and they just got bigger and bigger.
I'm honestly not sure if I have any idea about whether this counts as a glitch or not, but in Training Mode, when Devil spawns as you release an Assist Trophy, you can activate fixed-camera mode, and once Devil striked two poses of pointing-directions (one vertical & one horizontal), Devil gets confused not knowing that he missed scrolling the stage thanks to fixed-camera mode, so now when I turned it back to normal-camera, Devil aimed TWICE at the left-side boundaries (twice-in-a-row of the same directional point-scroll can apply to Up, Right and Down sides/blastzones as well), thus allowing for even more extra exploration on certain stages that you can't normally access other parts of it (such as Mario Galaxy, Figure-8 Circuit, Yoshi's Island Melee, Woolly World, Temple, Bridge of Eldin, Pirate Ship, Pyrosphere, Halberd, Orbital Gate Assault, Gamer, Boxing Ring and Flat Zone X)
Again, I don't know if this counts as a glitch, but I do feelike Devil isn't meant to be capable of "scrolling the stage twice in da same direction", which was caused by either Nintendo's decision of preventing the stage from moving during fixed-camera mode, or Sakurai forgot to disable Training mode's camera-toggle during Devil being currently in-action. Either way, i'm happy with this whole/that entire extended "alterable stage boundaries" thing! And I do really appreciate it :D

I can't believe SSB4 was released almost three years ago.. :0 Still feels so new....
One glitch I came across was Luigi getting stuck in the ground from a pitfall item for an inordinately long time and by long, I do mean around 30 seconds. Another one was in The Great Offensive and I believe Pikachu was hit by something and then seemed to get stuck slightly mid-air in his falling down pose with the tail sticking upwards. He only freed himself much later. No idea why either happened.
This glitch still works on 3ds, so you need to be rosalina, and go to mute city, and jump and keep pressing B and when you fall to the road you will be sliding a lot, it also works with rosalina's side B
There was a glitch with pac-man where he could use his UP-B, or recovery, underneath a stage like Final Destination, and he could basically bounce through the stage. There was a similar glitch with pac-man too, where he did SIDE-B right at the start of the game and he would go super far.
There's a glitch that works in both versions of the game and it has to do with Villager's Final Smash. Go to a stage with a large wall (Great Cave's right side works the best) and use the Final Smash. If done correctly, the character who was trapped in the final smash should go through the wall. This works with any stage as long as there's a decently sized wall mass (this works with bottom of stages like Final Destination and Battlefield.)
I caped a Mario while he was starting his UpB (he was offstage) and he appeared suddenly below the platform closest to the ledge (it was on Miiverse) starting a jump.
Glitch: on a stage with a tilt under it like FD or battlefield Pacman wall-jumps on the tilted bottom of the stage and instantly up specials. Then another character jumps on the trampoline (I don't think the character matters. Kirby and jiggs worked best.) the other character will phase though the stage as if it wasn't there. The physics of the stage would return for that character after they landed above the stage. (We actually discovered this at my local weekly and as far as I know it works on the latest update)
When I saw the T-pose glitch, I shouted “WE ARE LEGION! WE ARE MANY!"
There used to be this glitch on the 3DS with Wario where when he would get hit with a move with a lot of knock back and you held up on the control pad then right or left a frame before his hit stun animation ended, all the momentum would be transferred to the right or left and you could fly back onto the stage. Idk of Nintendo fixed this or not with the patch or not, but it's funny to watch.
1:29 i managed to do something simular to this glitch in smash bros ultimate, to do it, you need to select suzaku castle in training mode and choose a character with a tether recovery, it only works for a few characters, so i'll have a list below showing wich characters do and don't work, anyways, now that you're on suzaku castle, change the game speed to 1/2 or 1/4, then jump backwards from your spawn point, be sure to keep a distance from the bottom platform so you dont grab the ledge, when you are half way from the bottom platform, perform your tether recovery and when your character grabs the ledge with their tether, they SHOULD start spinning in circles until they either land on the top of platform or the character pulls themselves up, like i said before, it only works for some characters, here's a list

Not sure if this is a glitch exactly, but it's pretty interesting. Go into training mode as Kirby and spawn in a sandbag. From there, try to land the second hit of forward air without hitting the third and the sandbag will fly into the air. Pretty sure this works in both versions.
I have no idea how, but on the 3ds version on the boxing ring stage, i was able to make pacman lose his mouth when he uses his side b or dash attack, he's just a hiccuping yellow ball

fun fact for some reason if they are three Kirbys and some other character (your choice) and have the third Kirby inhale said other character it will flash around the map for some reason. this only works online for some reason too
also, kirby's hitbox and attack boxes are kinda wonky
also when I was hit with greninja final smash in the ordinary wii fit studios while being Kirby I paused at the right time to look around

Well some time ago I found a visual glitch involving the top of Mario head on the 3ds in the controls testing mode, when you use his side taunt(when he takes of his hat) the top part of his head is gone.
I found it in 1.1.1., also found a *current* R.O.B. stock icon issue in the 3ds as well where the player 2 Rob icon is gone.
On the 3DS map Jungle Japes, if you pick anyone with a tether grab recovery, (Samus is easiest) and grab on the ledge on the right side of the map, you actually do a quick backflip around the little island. Sometimes you'll swing off onto the middle stage and slide to the other side.
I'm not sure if I'm the only person that knows about this glitch, but i haven't seen anyone else talk about it.
Actually, if you think about it, Samus gets her crazy wavedash back hahahaha

Hey I have a glitch in Custom Stages, and it has to be on a precise grid.
Use the center as your guide.
*FIRST*
Make a triangle. The triangle has to be on 14 boxes wide, and the tip one box down in the center line. Seven boxes on each side of the center line.
*SECOND*
Then you have to make a rectangle.
Nevermind its a lot of rules, I take a picture of it when I have a chance.
There is a glitch in some versions. the glitch is called "The Backwards Glitch". go into Training Mode use any character and Wario. pick up wario's bike and grab at the same time and there u go backwards glitch
Idk if it still works, but with sonic on spirit tracks (3ds) if you get hit by the front of the train, then tech the train tracks on the way down he warps towards the middle of the train
I dunno how this happened but I was playing on the 3ds version and in an online match and I was playing as Ganondorf and I did his warlock punch(is that the name of the B attack for him?) as this guy did a falcon punch and I was stuck in the punching pose for a few minutes but I could still fight

First you pick Wario and any stage, you need the smash ball and the curry item, you need to use the smash ball and when you are transformed eat the curry, when the final smash and the curry effect ends the sound effect of this item will be stuck durinf the fight
One year ago today, we got our last smash 4 patch.
I found a glitch on the 3DS with Jigglypuff. To preform it, Jigglypuff has to get a mega or poison mushroom. Then Jigglypuff has to preform her final smash. If preformed correctly, Jigglypuff's growing sounds from her final smash will be lengthened so much so it plays after the final smash.
Yoshi could jump like that to evade his taxes
Hey I’ve got a glitch which happened to me once. I got the game on launch day but before I could play it needed to update so I waited for the update first but right before it an error occurred. so I tried again and the error kept coming up I tried everything but the Wii u wouldn’t let me play the game without updating and it wouldn’t update. I was locked out of my copy of super smash Bros for about six months. in which time I’d sent my Wii you to Nintendo for them to fix the problem but they didn’t do anything and the error still happened when I try to play. so I sent it off for them to fix it again and they wiped my Wii u memory which was about 10 years of gaming save files because I transferred my saves onto the Wii u But at least I can play smash Bros now six months after everyone else.

On Yoshi's Island, with Jigglypuff you can jump up the large slope and she'll look like she's wavedashing.
Similarly, on normal Onett, Puff can go onto one of the tree branches and jump, if you have the right timing then she suffers no landing lag and she doesn't jump at all, so you can continuously jump over and over without Puff actually jumping above the tree.
Oh and back in patch 1.1.4, Corrin could grab Zero Suit Samus at the ledge of Battlefield and ZSS would be unable to escape.

If you go on 10 Men Smash and play as Yoshi and when Yoshi pops up at the end, eat Yoshi and he will slowly get bigger
Try the 8 player control glitch.
Cancel the first player, scan an amiibo and then get rid of game pad's sinal to wii u by walking away with it. Do the same ( as second, third, fourth, and the others) as many time as you want until you get the 8 amiibo scanned. Go to the rules, head back to the select screen and you should have control of 8 hands.
There's this glitch in the pictochat stage in the 3DS
As playing as Lucas use PK Thunder on the dolphin while it is going down in the middle of the stage
If performed correctly you should be stuck in the middle of the stage
This glitch ends when you get K.O. or using PK Thunder
I haven't tried this with Ness but I only know you can do it with Lucas
Disclaimer: This glitch is extremely hard to pull off, I have only done it twice

wen i was playing ssb4 i got this glich that fox and pikachu i think those are all the characters that this glich can work is that you have to do this you have to jump at the time that the bridge is about to disappear and then move the camara to a position that you can see the eye of the characters then the eye will disappear i think you can steel do it but im not sure

you face a team of Yoshi's while being Yoshi you eat them and they get big every time you eat them controlling many different characters at once with one controller Ness using down b I'm corneria and the lasers hitting the opponents most of the time Mewtwo being able to learn custom moves....kinda.... definitely been patched many different pac man glitches like being able to do his side b in many different directions hydrant glitches and there's so many more that I've forgotten about.....
If you Jetpack into a Deli Nut (Jetpack, make an ark and land on top of the Nut) you just fly away and die. It's wierd and hard to do.
I found a glitch in the 3ds where I was Link and my sister was Toon Link with custom moves on and we were battle for fun (not online). When Toon Link did third custom move for spin attack (not siding spin attack) and Link throw the first custom move for the boomerang and before Toon Link go up at the end of the spin attack, the boomerang pulls him (Toon Link) and he goes really high in the air like the super jump glitch for yoish (I did not spell his name right).
When I was playing smash bros on the 3ds I was playing Link and the Malaga caught and right before I was gonna go off the map it got dest4oyed and link was still in the air and also still spinning and it didn't stop until a cup player attack Link.
There is a glitch (it's like the Rosalina one) In 3ds Lucas' Pk thunder and Pk freeze will just slide everywhere
I know a glitch and how 2 do it, it's quick simple
1:Playing toon link and grab the ledge
2: Have toon link ledge jump while Mario shoots fludd
Unless Nintendo patched this, toon link should fly near the blast zone or past, but doesn't die.
I know VGBootCamp had a video about the ness-wario glitch.
With the guy who had the weird copy of Smash Bros, it turns out it was his Wii U. He bought several copies of the game and they all had the same issue. So yeah, somewhere out there is one weird ass Wii U.
That Hyrule Train Glitch?
I used Kirby once, and when I was simply hitting the "thing" pushing the train back, it ended up clipping me into the train

In the demo of the 3ds version of smash Bros with link and villager with the thing that makes you iron if both hit it at the same time they bother beacom iron

the frist glitch i had was on the old battlefront 2 i dont know what happend but on a hunt level i was stuck.in a house and couldnt get out

You have to get all three of the pieces for the for both items on trading mode
I keep grab releasing with Villager, then wait for like 2 seconds (so no 1 second rule), grab again and the net goes through them without grabbing.

A glitch he didn't cover was Make it so the game only move when you press a button in training, then when it's frozen spawn loads of Items like shells or bombs, put it to normal speed and BOOM! You have super shells or bombs in training. (Only in training tho.)
I can't record it, and I don't know if it's still available, but If sonic gets a game winning down air (or if down air and another attack below collide, I don't know the conditions) and your online, your game will get disconnected. There's a video of it and I will try to find it to show you.
