Always remember every job you do is a piece in your jigsaw puzzle of life and home! Well done you didn't give up where others would. Give yourselves a big pat on the back.
I feel really good about the progress on the road, I pray that soon things are about to change and good no great things are about to come! You work so hard and deserve great things!
What a job you two. You should be proud of your achievements. Thinking of all the setbacks etc I'm extremely impressed with your determination, progress and all that you've achieved so far. NEVER give up.❤
You two are so sweet! I love watching your videos! Wishing you a very merry Christmas and all the best in the new year! Greetings from Vancouver Canada
Well done with the laying of the pipe. If I may comment for future pipe laying projects, take into consideration the natural flow (route) the water flows and lay the pipe along the same route and not straight across the road as you did. just check that you don't have more soil washing away at the exit of your pipe. Love watching your videos. Cheers from South Africa
Hi Laura and Dan, what a great job on the road hopefully it will work fine, that was a lot of hard work take it easy and we look forward to your next vlog. Michael and Carol ❤
Hi Dan n Laura ! I am a long term admirer of your never say die attitude, n watch Regular when I can , I am in Stockton n had visited Nick place 2 years ago. In next comment I ll share an idea may help you
You got a needle bar. I used one quite frequently on the railroad. Handy, You did it without a digger. A couple of planks you could drive over it, if you had to get more pipe.
It's awesome to see how much you are talking about the transformation of the farm.......yet the amount that you have changed .......you really have become so confident in taking on projects........love that every thing growing on your land ......
Great job you guys! That was a LOT of hard work! You need to treat yourselves with a couple of cold beers tonight! As I am watching you guys chilling by the fire I was thinking that at some point when you can maybe build a small headwall on each side of the pipe that would help prevent it from getting washed out in the future. Just a thought.
Good effort on the drainage pipe, top tip for back filling is to use small aggregate like pea gravel or sand, even soil is ok but it should be compacted in 200-300mm layers. The rubble and big bits of rock can crack the pipe when you drive over it. You might be ok with very light use road.
Great work guys. Hope this makes things easier for you now in the winter weather. One idea for the future could be if you do land clearance work for any neighbours you could get firewood that way. Especially if you are comfortable using a chainsaw.
Congrats on a job well done Laura n Dan. A lot of very hard work, with resourceful collection of stone rubble to build up the road. You will remember this job every time you drive over that spot. Lots of jobs but one at a time. 💗💗💗
Yup, basically a roadway french drain, with a pipe . Anytime you have a swamp, replace with Rock & gravel.... they are yur Friend😋😁👍.. Be blessed youngsters, yur doin Great!🙏🙏🎄🎄💙🤙🤙Just like that... rubble too. , add more gravel later.
Hiya to you both .may I suggest that you put some large rocks along the edge of the path on the gutter side as they will help stopping the track slip away .just put the rocks in the gutter to make a heavy wall it will help ..Keep up the great work .
The only thing I might have done differently with putting in the culvert pipes is that I would have put a level on them to make sure they are slightly lower at the output end than the input end. Probably not as important as I assume, as long as the water can flow.
I didn't realise that you two are still going back and forth to the UK. Has your visa situation not been sorted out yet? I am so sorry. Best wishes to you both.
You'll do morsel a favor by purchasing a real pick; that digging hoe is OK for moving soft dirt but a pick will help you a lot to get loose dirt, as well as dealing with old concrete and rocks.
Good work with the driveway. 👏👏 Those chairs really get around! Did any mice come with them? 😂 I assume they are staying outside? Never mind, I see that they are. BTW duct tape works great repairing leather upholstery if you don’t care what it looks like!😉
Well done guys a very good job done… maybe put a wire mesh on each side to stop leaves etc clogging the pipe..give yourselves a big pat on the back and take a day off.❤❤❤❤
Physical work let’s you be in the moment, you moulding your environment to what is required to be for your future. Often relaxing for the mind whilst working to body
Guys, did anyone comment about the audio in this vlog? At the beginning it was fine but thereafter I found the audio dropped and found it difficult to follow certain conversations
I am a long time viewer of your channel and I suggest you have big and fertile land so you should cultivate some thing that will be your other sources of income
Its been interesting following what you achieve but you are only doing what is nessessary. Ime sure any requirements for staying on the property will need food growing and possibly animals as you state a farm in your intro.
Always remember every job you do is a piece in your jigsaw puzzle of life and home! Well done you didn't give up where others would. Give yourselves a big pat on the back.
Well done Laura and Dan great work from both of you. So happy to see things coming together for both of you . Good luck 🍀🍀🍀 stay happy 😊😊❤🫂

Wow, brilliant job, doing your colvert, to direct the water to run away from your drive ❤❤❤❤
What a job you two. You should be proud of your achievements. Thinking of all the setbacks etc I'm extremely impressed with your determination, progress and all that you've achieved so far. NEVER give up.❤
Your moment at the fire looks like a Christmas scene
What a fantastic job! No big machinery or big tools. Just the two of you and your desire to live your best lives. Congratulations.

Thanks for the tips :)

Great job in progress. Well done guys. Have you got your visa yet?
Great job
The only thing I might have done differently with putting in the culvert pipes is that I would have put a level on them to make sure they are slightly lower at the output end than the input end. Probably not as important as I assume, as long as the water can flow.
I didn't realise that you two are still going back and forth to the UK. Has your visa situation not been sorted out yet? I am so sorry. Best wishes to you both.
Lets pray the pipes are big enough to carry the water that comes down the stream.
You'll do morsel a favor by purchasing a real pick; that digging hoe is OK for moving soft dirt but a pick will help you a lot to get loose dirt, as well as dealing with old concrete and rocks.
Oh I just love you two ❤
You need to anticipate a method (tools) to clean out plugged. I hope this won't happen but my experience is that culverts can often be clogged up.
Good work with the driveway. 👏👏 Those chairs really get around! Did any mice come with them? 😂 I assume they are staying outside? Never mind, I see that they are. BTW duct tape works great repairing leather upholstery if you don’t care what it looks like!😉
Shouldn't you put steel netting at the ends of the tube to prevent animals from going into the tube?
Put some mesh in both ends to stop rubbish blocking it up👍
Well done guys a very good job done… maybe put a wire mesh on each side to stop leaves etc clogging the pipe..give yourselves a big pat on the back and take a day off.❤❤❤❤
Great job guys. Have you considered a rocket mass heater for in the barn ?
Try putting a why shape of rock or block work on the input side of the direction of flow
Always have a spare gas bottle on hand.
A power jackhammer might have worked better.
Physical work let’s you be in the moment, you moulding your environment to what is required to be for your future.
Often relaxing for the mind whilst working to body
It looks like it's dipping in the middle and running uphill
Where ya been?
Working ha :)
Any changes regarding having to travel backwards and forwards to the uk every 90 days

You then have to take it over days! You only have one body!
💪👍❤❤
Wel done both of ypu, but please be careful of your backs.

Hard hard work but peace of mind. Hope you had a nice shower, something delicious to eat and a cup of coffee. Show us if it's working. ❤❤

Its been interesting following what you achieve but you are only doing what is nessessary. Ime sure any requirements for staying on the property will need food growing and possibly animals as you state a farm in your intro.
