The cap on the bottom that you unscrewed is there so if you needed to add some egg sinkers to balance the rod if you decided to use a reel that was maybe a little to heavy for the rod.
I bought one earlier this year but still have not used it. I will probably give it a try soon as the colder months roll in I will fish a hot spot on the south end of Lake Norman here in NC and that will be a good place to test it. Thank you for the review!!!
Fished as a kid but very casually but I need a hobby. I bought this 2 weeks and yet to use to it.....butttttttttttt I feel like the "tip" joke was underrated lmao. Excited to take this to the river and see what happens.
Looks like a good bit of fun. definitely a fan of those combos you can throw in the ride or backpack and always have with you. Nothing wrong with that at all
You may check this one out too. I did a review on it yesterday. They are about the same just depends on if you like telescoping or pieces. I like both honestly as long as they are good. th-cam.com/video/mnZYVdUYpRc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xmgrl0apB6BY54Cm
It’s a dang nice combo for the $$ for sure. I had a blast. I think I need to do more reviews on stuff like this. It makes something that’s already fun even more fun.
In my country, people are extremely prejudiced towards things that are out of the ordinary for them in their daily lives and seeing a person carrying a fishing rod in their hands generates looks of astonishment or comments that it is a program for people of low social status. They don't understand that fishing is a sport and that it can be practiced by everyone, even those who don't depend on fish to survive. Therefore, buying a telescopic rod of the best model available, for example. The DAIWA BBB and being able to hide it inside a backpack, avoids this entire unpleasant situation, in addition to being very practical and reliable. I love putting all my fishing gear in my backpack, taking the subway and going fishing without big bags in my hands.
I have been using the 6.6ft version since October, and it's held up. I take it to school with me and fish in the lakes around the university before or after I teach classes. :) What # braid did you put on it? I put 20# braid on mine and it's been a good rod so far--still holding up just fine. I like the bag it came with, but generally just throw it right in my satchel along with a few worms and an extra hook.
@@joeflowers9084 lol. I couldn’t remember if I said or not in the video. Yah my normal go to braid is suffix 832 but they were all out of 20lb so I went with K9 20lb. K9 makes really good flouro too. Man I’m glad to hear yours works good. I was very very impressed with the rod and reel combo for the price. I have had $100 combos that didn’t work as good and feel as good as this one did. Mine didn’t come with a bag. It was just the reel in one box and the rod in the other. It shows you can get them with a case type thing but you have to pay more because it comes with lures and stuff too. I’m kinda like you, the case would be cool but it’s just as easy to throw it in the truck prerigged and go.

Oh man. That’s awesome. Thanks bud. That’s a dang good idea.
Good stuff man! Glad my vid helped you decide on this setup. I was pretty happy with mine too 🤙

stick some weight in the handle to balance the whole setup...
