After departing Ahmedabad, this train took the left track which goes towards Sabarmati, Dwarka, Somnath and the tracks to the right, as you were asking goes towards Mehsana, Jaipur, Abu Road. Ahmedabad is a Junction station and as per the terms of Indian Railways a junction is a station, from where tracks deviate to different directions. In that case from Ahmedabad one track goes towards Mehsana, Jaipur, Abu Road and the other track goes towards Sabarmati. On the reverse side, two different tracks meet at Ahmedabad, where one comes from Ratlam Jn, Kota Jn, on which Bombay Rajdhani tavels, and the other track comes from Vadodara Jn, on which the Mumbai-Adi Shatabdi or Saurashtra Mail travels.
