Hi, It looks like Las Vegas is expanding a lot, Year after Year, It's good to see new developments in the area, From the new Baseball Stadium to the Sphere. Las Vegas just keeps getting bigger and better.
I ventured off the strip for the first time recently and stayed at the Palms. I was really impressed and it seems to have a bit more value than anything the strip can offer. Great video thanks for sharing.

A couple things you didn’t mention: 1. The resort is surrounded by some of the best shopping, dining, and entertainment options in the city as part of Summerlin “City Centre” and “Downtown Summerlin”, 2. The latter includes the nationally top rating minor league ballpark, “Las Vegas Ballpark” (about two blocks from the resort), home of the Las Vegas Aviators, the AAA affiliate of the Oakland Athletics (“A’s”) who also may call the ballpark home if their move to Vegas (and new ballpark on/near The Strip) consummates, and 3. The “Circle Bar” in the resort’s casino has DJs spinning beats on at least Friday and Saturday nights, which is a great no-cover-charge way to get in some dancing and socializing without having to go to the expensive, too loud, too crowded clubs on The Strip.

Fun fact.. where the high limit is, that is to be the old buffet.. during covid they boarded it up and changed it.. The food court used to have a Ben & Jerry's where the Nielsen ice cream is and where Side Piece pizza is that used to be Villa pizza. The Rouge Room used to be called Cherry back in the day, they use to host weddings and private events and private pool parties for the adults since they have a pool that's connected to it. The bowling alley has cosmic bowling and with the right lighting all the carpet from the hallway coming in glows, and they have 2 private bowling alleys all the way at the end past the party rooms. Red Rock is prolly one of the best properties besides Green Valley Ranch
Actually the buffet used to be where Lotus of Siam is up to the new Oyster Bar. Anyhow still miss the buffets don't you?

Great review as always. I have never stayed at Red Rock before but we used to eat at their buffet when it was still open prior to covid19. Their buffet was awesome too!! Keep up the great reviews. Always enjoy watching them.

Another thing that is good about the Red Rock is that if you are there for a golf trip most of the courses are close by. I have a few friends that live in Summerlin, but I always stay at the Rock. They have nice homes, but they still don't have slot machines in them yet.
I've been visiting Las Vegas for years. Never stayed at Red Rock, but have always heard great things about the resort. I will have to venture out from the MGM resorts and try it for sure.
I would say it is on par with Aria, just less crowded.
As a local I'm not sure if I should be happy or sad that more people are starting to go "off strip" lol Im glad ya'll enjoyed yourself at Red Rock though and got a taste of Station Casinos 😉

Another reason to stay at Red Rock Casino is hiking at Red Rock, watch the Aviators across the street from Red Rock Casino and watch the Golden knight practice at their practice facility, walking distance from Red Rock resort🤙🏽

We live in the UK and have been staying out at Red Rock since it first opened, before DT Summerlin and the Ball park etc were even built. It is a fantastic property in a beautiful location and with so much now available just outside the door this place is now better than ever.
Really looking for ward to Station casinos opening their new property Durango.

Great content. We always visit Red Rock every time we’re in LV because of all the reasons you mentioned. Can’t seem to get any decent offers from them thus we are always staying at the strip (Caesars or MGM).

Finally an off strip review. Did you finally rent a car for this trip? Other interesting casinos fairly close to the strip are the Palms which is a little more than 5 minutes west of the strip on Flamingo, Green Valley Ranch Station casino which is about a half hour east of the strip in Henderson and is under Station casino ownership which are the same ones that own Red Rock. These are both casinos where you would never have to leave the property, like Red Rock. Silverton is no big deal for a casino, but it's 15 minutes south of the strip on I-15. At Silverton, they have a giant fish tank in the middle and have scheduled fish feedings and also mermaid shows where the mermaids get in the tank & swim with the fish. A longer drive is Laughlin, about 90 minutes south of Las Vagas. I think they have about a dozen casinos, including Harrahs & the Golden Nugget. It's right on the Colorado River, on the border of Arizona near the Davis Dam. Harrahs has a white sand beach on the Colorado river there. And the Rio is about a block from the Palms, also a little more than 5 minutes west of the Strip on Flamingo. So many people in the comments of Las Vegas videos just will not leave the strip. They don't know what they are missing.

Ok guys, I got question. We’re headed out there again in May and I’ve got to reserve a fill in night in Vegas during a longer vacation. So I have a comp night at Red Rocks, Durango, Golden Nugget, and some of the MGM properties (not Bellagio or Aria). Which would you recommend?
The only one of those we’ve stayed at was Red Rock and it was great, but Durango looks amazing! We’re excited to try it out, so that would be our recommendation.
This property looks great we will be there at the end of June. If you had to pay for everything you got to experience would you do it? I've been Vegasing for 20 years and am pretty much over the strip. Great video as always, blessings to you both.

Another quality review. I have one question that I’m embarrassed to ask. In the spa video, much like all other Las Vegas spas, when you enter from the locker room, both men’s and women’s, there are usually two large spa/hot tubs(hot and cold). Are you supposed to use these tubs, and forgive my naivety, “bare ass” or wear a bathing suit? I ask because I’ve seen it both ways. Lastly, there is a spa on the strip that has co-ed tubs AND clothing optional which I think is weird. Thanks in advance.
The jacuzzi, cold plunge, and saunas are all located in gender-segregated areas and are clothing optional. You'll find that people are fairly evenly split on whether they choose to wear a bathing suit or not in those areas. Coed areas, such as the outdoor spa pool at Red Rock, require clothing. Hi, I'm visiting Vegas in September and arriving at Aria on a Sunday, driving from San Diego on the Sat, was thinking of spending the Sat night In Red Rock, it's coming In at $600 for a twin room, seems a bit pricey, would you get it better by just turning up and trying to get a deal ?
No, if the price is showing that high it’s because they’re already virtually sold out. It definitely gets expensive out there, especially on busy weekends. Thanks for watching!
I went here last time for Lotus of Siam and could have spent the whole night gambling. I’ll have to stay there after my Gold status at MGM expires. MGM is a ripoff in many ways, but the hotels are cheap as hell. I’ve heard that if you gamble at Red Rock they will pretty quickly comp you rooms. I’d be interested to investigate that next year. Also, Travel Ruby cameo?!

Have heard The Red Rock Casino and Spa is nice. They have live craps tables. This is excellent. Fatburger is a good place. Good food is a sign of a good hotel. That is what I like about Boyd Group Properties. Don't like spicy food so would probably stay away from Thai food. Is anything near where this hotel is? You don't seem to like to go to the casino much. Nice fountain in the pool. The Steakhouse is normally a good dinner. Looks like a nice steak and the presentation was really good. Is Red Rock a Station Casino? My late wife liked to stay on Las Vegas Blvd. I prefer off strip properties.
Red Rock is indeed a Station Casinos property. It’s located right next door to downtown Summerlin, which is a very nice dining and shopping district. Also within just a few blocks is Las Vegas Ballpark (minor league baseball) and City National Arena (Vegas Golden Knights practice facility). Thanks for watching!

Were the food and drink prices any lower than on the Strip? I suspect the answer is no, but I'm hoping maybe you can get a small break off the Strip. By the way, why have food prices gone into the stratosphere in Las Vegas? I've heard explanations ranging from COVID to Millennials not being fond of gambling and the overall drop in gambling revenue by people coming to shop and see shows who don't gamble, and gambling is what held the food prices down. Was curious if you had any explanations. Oh, another great video guys!
Most of the food and drink prices were about the same as the strip, although that's partially because this is a luxury property. As for the trend in prices overall, simple supply and demand at work. People are willing to pay it for now, so they're just going to keep going up until they won't. Thanks for watching!
All of the things you mentioned contribute to the outrageous food prices but you missed the biggest one - corporate greed.
@@MrTeeye You can't prove that. If corporate greed was a factor, why didn't prices go up long ago, since Las Vegas became much more "corporate" in the 90's, yet food prices didn't rise until 20 years later.
