    If you are finding it a little hard you could also stretch the stocking over a bowl, place the plant in, add the amount of soil you want and then lift the stocking up :)

    The sorts of plants that are ideally suited to this sort of life are those that are naturally epiphytic or semi-epiphytic. Surprisingly too many, this includes a huge number of houseplants. Good choices are most of the Philodendron clan, the aroids like anthuriums, pothos, nepenthes, especially the self heading ones, with the exception of the bog loving elephant ears and caladium sorts; the Peperomias; the Hoyas; the Bromeliads and Orchids, of course; the Jungle cacti, like holiday and orchid and mistletoe cacti; the wandering Tradescantia, and many trailing succulents. The bonsai-ing effect of this life keeps your plants small and root bound, which for bloomers, makes them bloom better, like Hoyas. Make sure to fertilize lightly(1/4 strength or less) every so often, dissolved into their soaking water. Cheers to my plant loving daughter in Melbs from Texas. Stay warm!!!!

    Can I use Spanish moss?

    • @bleepdupdupbloop6777
      @bleepdupdupbloop6777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I imagine it wouldn’t retain water the an inert sphagnum moss as it’s not a moss but a species of tillandsia. Could definitely see it creating a nice effect if you wrap the Spanish moss around after it’s been wrapped in some sphagnum
